Great job Tom. Also agree on the plastic engine cover. Why they zip-tied the cables in I'll never no. First oil change over last weekend - never goning to get the oil as hot as they tell you to. It was like water and went all over the place. Gonna drain it cool after overnight from a run, and just leave it drain for a bit longer.
Thank you very much. I'm with you on the oil. What is the problem with draining cold or just warm. Although, as I type that I had a thought. The 5 cylinder Volvo diesel in the old Ford Ranger had to be refilled el-pronto otherwise it would not pick up the fresh oil. I believe the Rotax engine runs a dry sump which means the oil is not directly under the crankshaft, but in another part of the engine. Still can't see why it has to be drained hot🤔.
