Wow total game changer on how you are making the ryker look with the personal touches. You don’t give yourself enough credit we’re it’s due. Excellent how to video!
Krylon from Wal Mart, Yes I sanded all the panels before painting and cleaned them really good. Using rubber gloves when touching them so not to put oils on the panels from my hands. Paul
Some people use 50 percent rubbing alcohol and 50 percent water mix together to remove greasy residue before start painting. Not sure if it's ok for plastic materials, probably ok.
That looks great and it isnt orange any more. Do you have a complete video on how to prep and paint those panels? I have the aux led that I want to paint gloss cherry. Thanks! Did you paint your color panels if so how did you prep them, and did you prime them too?
10:55 to 12:36 I can hear audio and you painting but it's a still image not a clip of you using the primer? It cuts to it already primed and ready as you start the red. Might be just my phone.
@@Jeep-Addicts thank you. The reason why I asked is I have gotten my panels professionally painted. They are afraid to paint the textured potions even after sanding for fear of chipping.
@@Jeep-Addicts How did the paint hold up?? I'm redoing my recent crappy paint job and was heading to pick some Krylon or rustoleum up here in a day or two.
Great video, been enjoying seeing what other customization fellow ryker owners have been doing. Paint looks great

Kids first. Applause. Ride on brother
I don't trust myself so I tape it before sanding to protect it, than redo the tape before painting.
This looks great!!!!!!!!
Dj iET thanks
Hi Paul, what type of paint do you use? Did you sand the other panels before painting? Looks great.

I contacted 3M and they said the green is about 400 grit, and the blue is 800 to 1000 grit.
Looks awesome you would think it would come from the factory that way
David Pierce thanks, they just wanted it simple and cheap on there side. Paul

Coy Hilron same preparation sand , clean, primer then paint.
What’s the name of the paint and where did you purchase it? Also was it Satin or gloss
You should use a tape called "fine line" if you do transitioning colors to the paint line is not so rough and rigid. Looks good tho! Nice job!
Alright Eeyore thank for the tip I’ll pick some up. Paul

Have you had any issues with chipping?
T Mart not yet but will let everyone know if it starts to peel or chip real bad. Paul
@@Jeep-Addicts thank you. The reason why I asked is I have gotten my panels professionally painted. They are afraid to paint the textured potions even after sanding for fear of chipping.
Used that paint on plastic chairs, it did not hold up at all. Faded then cracked.
Well that will p*&^^& me off if that happens. I will keep everyone updated of course. Paul
