I'm extremely lucky to have been trusted by Krafton & Unknown Worlds for an opportunity like this and i can't wait to show you more about Subnautica 2 in the future!! Tell me your thoughts, What stood out? Did i get something wrong or possibly miss something? There was SO MUCH i wanted to put in this video but it was already running pretty long lol maybe I'll make a follow up video, I wanted to talk about creatures and a bunch of stuff that was found for their behaviors in SN1 that seemed mostly unused but existed in the code that I've recently found out was left as un-used because back then the team at unknown worlds was too ambitious for what computers back then could handle. Now that they are working in UE5 and have grown so much I'm expecting this game to blow everyone's socks off with even the smallest details!!

@fookoff8660 Proof? I got a proof that you're wrong - in original subnautica's early access, there existed such system, but it was cut from final design, along with legback and prawn suit's detachable cabin. All of that was cut, and what I'm sure about is that the dna-changing tool WAS! simply extracting DNA from creatures we scanned already. Which makes it totally free.

The idea of using creature DNA to get upgrades is great because I bet the more dangerous the fish, the better the upgrade. It’ll be an incentive to actually face the most dangerous creatures, whereas in the early games they were obstacles you had no reason not to avoid.
That makes sense, in below zero Alan used animal DNA to advance. So, maybe, no alterra mark...advance with animal DNA..a rogue group started by ALAN and Robyn?
The avoidance is what kept them scary though, below zero had the issue of the creatures being unavoidable so you learned very quickly they were an annoyance not a threat
@@jacksonreasoner1408 Okay actually fair. I think i more so meant the void creatures. Whatever baddies are there to keep you from going out of bounds, you never approach unless you’re testing your fear or to see what they look like
@@jacksonreasoner1408 I do think facing your fears should be something that is rewarded though. I could imagine it would be super scary seeing the creature and avoiding it. But actively going up to it could be potentially even more scary as you are putting yourself in that situation in the first place. Though I do think making it an optional thing, for at least the leviathans would be good so that it is still like the first game.
Depends on the person giving the feedback some can be overdramatic and unprofessional when giving feedback making them sound more like a Karen which a company like other people do avoid cause it would sound like an insult at first look, don't expect someone to listen if you don't care to give respect many companies do their best to deliver which is not easy and to be unappreciated in the end would drive anyone crazy, it's like doing chores for your family just for them to mess up the place for you to clean again
@@HeyLittleTownWell tbh huge companies dont really deserve beating around the bush or respect. Indie teams yes, but if you want change in a big AAA game, you have to be heard.
Looks to me they listened a bit too much to unhinged fans on Reddit. The most hilarious thing I saw there was someone getting downvoted for calling Below Zero a sequel to Subnautica. People are trying to erase the game from history lol, because they didn't like it. Seeing the devs play along in this, I cannot respect that. I remember we were hyped for BZ as a sequel to Subnautica. This is Subnautica 3.
@yan-amar Below Zero was not a proper sequel. If anything, it should've been a DLC at best. It featured less variety in creatures and biomes than the first, there were less dangers, the map felt incredibly small compared to the first, stuff from the first game couldn't be bothered to be added here like the cyclops for example, less leviathan class creatures, a sub-par story. I could go on Below Zero was NOT a full game. It is NOT subnautica 2. It was a DLC they tried to charge you the price of a game for. Stop kidding yourself.
One of my favorite things in Subnautica was transforming the Cyclops into a mobile base, stocking up on supplies and then going underwater for an indefinite amount of time, taking my time to enjoy the peace of solitude and beautiful landscapes of the depths, really hope we have a similar sub in Subnautica 2
We have to, especially since multiplayer will be an option PLUS a bigger map. Would suck if there wasn’t a massive mobile base like even a surface boat or something
IMO that was one of the biggest missed opportunities in Subnautica Below Zero; we got a tiny underwater garbage truck instead of a submarine that's big enough to allow you to really explore the world. Like the other comment said, a surface ship would be really cool, especially in conjunction with underwater threats that can't be seen from the surface.
@@tcaprecap1448 I want this map to be big enough to incorporate a big boat that can house all your vehicles, even your submarine. Mobile bases are great haha
I agree with the idea about the submersible becoming a mech because of its name, Tadpole. Maybe like a tadpole, it will be able to have limbs just like a tadpole becoming a frog.
I would love if there was a frog, salamander, and Caecilian attachment to the tadpole as that is the name for the larval stage of all of them. Caecilian would definitely be the closest thing to the cyclops. Frog would be prawn. Salamander could be for shallows exploration. I could see massive tide pools that are rocky.
@@ashdog9235 I actually agree a lot with Caecilian being the cyclops equivalent, as the sea truck (which looks the most like a caecilian) was the below zero cyclops
I love it too. A lot of times in the prawn suit I'd need to go somewhere decently far away but either couldn't, or I had to use the cyclops which took awhile. Looks very convenient!
I love the fact they nailed the "same vibe but different" thing. Its still subnautica and yet it wont feel like 4546b atleast seeing the trailer. I will miss the creepiness of 4546b. Gargantuan leviathans ghost leviathans and the void and the fact the civilized aliens in subnautica earlier found this mysterious planet giving it a "no ones home" middle of nowhere vibe. Yet while the new one they live there like its their home will make it less eerie and mysterious, it still will make it more explorative and intresting due to it being the planets aliens we get something to aviliate the aliens with and let our imagination run far more wild with guessing their culture and so on until newer updates. Especially considering its a newer game having to live up/surpass the first its nostalgia filled and original hype with more content and more interesting details and I might be overhyped but i think its doing an amazing job. I hope there will be more interactivity with creatures like the mesmer was interactive so creatively and so on.
Eyes positioning in biology and evolution is a good indicator of the species' lifestyle. If they are positioned lower on a head, or even facing down, it means the specimen needs attention and observation downward. Perhaps for finding food, or be weary of threats from below. If the eyes are on the side and many, it might give the fish better detection and awareness for any threat coming. I find speculative biology fascinating, which is what Subnautica is having fun with!
I had thought about that too. Either a bottom feeder, or it could have evolved like that to “trick” potential predators. The first thing that came to mind was the barrel head fish.
This doesn't make sense for everything though, the Gargantuan, the Biter and the other skeleton guy have their eyes on the sides, despite being predators
@@NiCoNiCoNiCola Its not necessarily the location of the eyes, more where they are pointing. Reapers eyes are on the side, yes, but they are forward facing. It can look directly forwards. An example of this happening IRL is the T-rex, eyes on the side of the head, but still forward facing.
Part of what made the first game so good was that the threats were... well, threats. No one was going to go out of their way to kill a leviathan, and they were so aggressive and creepy looking/sounding. So, i hope they add that feeling of "i need to run" when faced with a threat again.
Imma be honest, for me personally below zero does this specific job better. The creatures are generally stronger and the leviathans actually manage to get me thinking about how to avoid them, unlike the original where i just ignore them
@boi2192 Oh yeah, I'm not bashing Below Zero. To be honest, the crystal and fabricator cave biomes were genius. I loved those and their music so much. The only thing I could say for Below Zero is that i wish there was more danger in the water outside of the caves
@Aska222 No no! That Kraken was scary as hell! But I'm talking about all the other lethiathans that we will probably be seeing for the other 80% of the game.
Modders, I must make a request Subnautica 2 could very well be tailored into a 3d barotrauma. Imagine the sheer fun of that chaotic environment in a world this pretty
one thing I wish is that they cut down on human screentime to make room for more creatures and environment screentime in the trailer, that's what the players are here for after all
I disagree, you don’t want to spoil too much and this is only the first trailer. Couple new creatures and environments, a big leviathan reveal, and co-op all being revealed is plenty.
@@AleutianSailor Yea I could see your point, excited for the upcoming trailers aswell, a gameplay one would be best. Subnautica 2 is finally here and the community is going to have a very good time
The new leviathan seems to be somewhat inspired in design by the Humboldt squid, which gives an idea of what is to come. the Humboldt is both incredibly intelligent and aggressive, also being known to attack divers. it is also really nice to see leviathan designs other than the regular "scary eel like thing"
Personal theory: Maybe the jake fish and shark both evolved with their eyes facing downwards because of the kraken leviathan, coming from below. In the first bit where the kraken is seen the player is sucked DOWNWARD
Man, I'm very interested in playing Subnautica 2. I can't wait for the Early Access release. I started playing when there were no textures on the disease research complex yet and even caught the first versions of Below Zero. Thanks for the video and such a detailed analysis. We'll stay tuned
What if instead of having individual batteries for each tool, you have a battery for your suit and your tools use that? Cause that looks like what the "wake maker" is doing
I think if you look, the tadpole does take the general shape of the prawn suit cockpit, with aspects from the sea truck so I imagine it Would attach to something, maby you can attach prawn arms to it so it becomes more like modern day subs that can grab and drill and all sorts
This would tie into Subnautica 1 and the vision Charlie had for that game when he was CEO. Back then he did a interview where he said he wanted creatures to interact in different ways when faced with scenarios, Fear, Attack, Curious, etc etc. Much of it had to be scrapped because back then computers weren't really powerful enough to process so much code though that exact code is IN subnautica as of today, My personal devs for the Red Plague Lee23 and Lilly23 confirmed it and showed me. There's a ton of creature behaviors that are just not used. I think there's a very, very strong chance you're right and what you're saying is more correct than what i said in the video with it being a neutral creature.
Odd that the oxygen warning seems to disappear just by the "Tadpole" being within proximity to the player. New O2 replenishment mechanic? makes it look like the tadpole will have a proximity alarm as well.
@@destroyerofturtles5024 it sounds cringe. Legback just implies that he's got legs on his back. Coral hermit/reef hermit makes more sense and is cooler imo.
Would like to point out that in the key art the kraken has similar looking eyes to the sea emperor which may further indicate this could be a friendly big boi like you think
I really want an inventory upgrade system, it’s one of my dislikes in subnautica is just like you can’t upgrade your inventory. It would be nice if you could upgrade your inventory. Otherwise I’m super hyped. Another thing I’d love to see is imagine if you could lien raise a leg back and then it could be like a big mobile base that you can build on!
@@noct9978 Hopefully it’ll come to Subnautica 2 in a much bigger, more robust, and more advanced form while still retaining its iconic design and shape, but we’ll just have to wait and see!
Honestly i hope they do add a massive submarine, As large or larger than the Atlas with purpose. The map will be so large realistically i can see them choosing to have a few subs for different purposes!!
@@Anthomniai think it would be cool if they did a massive submarine with spider legs whose main purpose is to just be a mobile customizable base with big windows
Cant wait to play this (in my opinion already looking like a) masterpiece of a game, thx for the community connection and all the Info Anthomnia, you rock!
What we definitely need is something big like the atlas it's literally probably the most famous mod in subnautica some big sub is needed for subnautica 2 cause there will clearly be some deep oceans
im so excited for this game, i dont think ive ever felt such emotions for a game since the first game came out. my friend has fortunately offered to buy the game for me if its $40 or less. really really really cant wait to hop into this game with him
I could be crazy, but in the main picture with the squid and the two divers it looks like there was a second pair of eyes in the head of the squid? A parasitic creature in control of the squid would be so dark and cool! But two creatures with a symbiotic relationship would be interesting as well. 😮
i would really love a deep sea area that literally has 0 light except some creatures bioluminesance and the light that you bring down there. cause usually subnautica has some glowing plant life or some glowing lava oceans to give ambiance. but i want PITCH BLACK waters
I really want some more of the farming mechanics. Ik that sounds really boring but I really enjoyed that aspect of the game. I also really really want more environment based buildings. Like the sea truck aquarium module but like a room or some other things designed for observing the wildlife. Additionally more unique AI would be interesting. It really adds to the ecosystem and is interesting to watch. Showing how the world operates without us.
Speaking of farming, i want plants that can only be placed in water on foundations have a way to harvest them without being in the complete open, like special thing that blocks any air but pumps water in or something even if its very expensive to craft
@@_jake_b9307 then why is it on the side of the sub, that would make it so hard to hold on. it should be on the back below or above the motor if that was its purpose
The biggest thing I loved about Subnautica was the idea of surviving underwater and building a base but the thing that felt empty to me is that I had no one to share it with the only way I could share. My bill is through screenshots and posting them, but that wasn’t even enough to satisfy me. I wanted more I wanted multiplayer. I wanted to be ability to play the game with my husband Now I will be able to and that makes me very very happy. I want to even be able to play it with some of my friends online that also love underwater aquatic games. This is going to make things so much more interesting to be able to actually explore the water with friends. . I’m a professional diver and I love to dive and swim underwater so that being said that is actually quite fun with a partner so they should have multiplayer in games like this ! I’m glad they decided to listen to the player base.
Oh my goodness. I even played the series in a very long time. And I really wanna play it after seeing this trailer. Oh my goodness I can't wait to play this game again and and the sequel.Oh my goodness, this is really exciting to me
If the sub is literally called the tadpole, the first stage (second if you wanna include eggs) in frog evolution, yeah I think it’ll connect to something greater
imagine if the tadpol was like the control section of a massive ship and you could release the tadpol from the main sub and scout around with it and when your done you attach back to the main sub like a sea truck and then you can drive the big sub and exit from it
thats what i thought :D, i also thought it could be similar to the escape pods you can see on the atlas submarine, but rather its 4 deployable submarines for you and your team, that connects back to a mothership/hq style ship
Everything about this looks so cool, and I can't wait to be on the same journey with you to find out how it turns out! Honestly, I'm going to be happy with everything as long as they don't go too crazy with all new stuff and then forget the other two games. I don't remember if there has been any information where this game fits in the timeline but all I wish for is several moments where we realize that they are hinting towards or talking about the happenings on 4546B that we've already seen :D
Also noticed in the trailer that as the sub diver approaches the unconscious diver, the oxygen alert seems to go away, perhaps indicating that we can share oxygen with each other in dire situations? Could just be for the sake of the trailer though and I could be reading into it too much. 😂😅
1:33 I noticed as the creature got closer the screen on the tadpole thing, I don’t know what to call it, started flashing red which could mean that there might be an upgrade to detect hostile creatures approaching, because when the group of fish swam by it didn’t flash red, but when the creature got closer it started flashing red, which could also mean it can detect big creatures. I’m not sure it’s just a theory, something I noticed, I don’t know if he said it or not. But it would be cool, and it’s probably an upgrade you can get for it. Can’t wait for the game!
I also think the the new vehicle is like a 3 in 1 vehicle. i think that u can attach different parts to it to make it either a mech or a small "base" like the seatruck. Or you can just use the base vehicle like the seamoth.
Evolution is the way creatures use to adapt to there surroundings. My thoughts is this creature evolved to see something below it, either it being a creature that eat crabs or leg bassed prey on the sea floor, or it being sn ambushe predator that lingers close to the surface and attacks down when it sees food. 16:29
I watched your content years ago when you first started posting subnautica content after finding out of the trailer you were the first channel I had to come to I’m so glad you are still posting subnautica
12:27 I honestly do believe he’s right. Another quite convincing factor is the fact that it has the handlebars on it. Something ONLY seen on the SEA TRUCK. They we’re used to move it into place so it’s the only,y reason I see that they were added.
Hi, I’m a new subscriber and I’m one of the people that don’t talk at all but i follow the news of Subnautica and got some courage to send this message. I wanted to give probably some theory’s from a few things it says in the video, the swim suit, the DNA and probably some wild ideas. (I’m so sorry, I write a lot and I like exposing some ideas. Again sorry ;-;) The swim suit with the DNA too: From it being a higher level of technology it could probably mean a few things, for example: it could have some kind of solar energy charging system, because in most of the images and in the video the line lights of the swim suit are only glowing brighter when the player is exposed to sunlight; It could also mean that the swim suit is the key for the DNA changing, like a way of telling if the body of the player suffered some impact putting a DNA that impact us in a more negative or positive way, or also telling if we got wounded or poisoned and because the masks are different it could probably mean a hologram on the side of the mask just like when showing our oxygen or food, etc. Now a very wild theory: The swim suits and most things don’t have the Aurora symbol but only the color. If we think a bit outside the box it could mean a few things, for example: It could mean the Aurora Is trying to “hide” or “wipe out” the truth and all the horrible things they done in both the normal Subnautica and Subnautica below zero, both ended with more than what? Thousand of people dead, besides the lost of who knows how many billions of dollars in the lost of equipment; With that in mind it could mean they are probably trying to wipe the dust under the carpet to keep studying and experimenting on unknown life. Another thing we can think about is that most of the animals looked to be docile, from the fact that most of the areas where the player was being attacked was in a place with a lot of vegetation, it could mean that those places are the areas with the creatures nests and they are probably just protecting there space; it can also mean that the huge Leviathan with tentacles can probably be a “good” creature, from its possible higher intelligence (like mentioned in the video) by wanting to warn or ask for help, but not like the Sea Emperor instead (hear me out on this one please) it’s to go against the Aurora’s plan and stop there doing of experimenting on the creatures life and probably changing there stable life cycle (Just like the architects). I know it’s big and I’m sorry again. It is probably stupid and I can be saying nonsense, but I don’t know, it came in my mind while watching this video and thought it could probably help in something. I don’t know ;-;. Can’t wait for 2025! And everyone’s little Gargy!
I hope there are ancient ruins/buildings to dive through. i loved exploring the wrecks, the Mercury II, hope theres more in subnautica 2. Hoping they are keeping it non violent... ie. no weapons. Seen so many players wishing for actual weapons, but i think that destroys the feel of subnautica, that you are vulnerable in a vast alien environment. All this looks so good so far.😁😁😁
I think the new squid monster is an enemy leviathan, the sea emperor was originally supposed to be bad but they changed it. I don't think they'll do the same with this one. Also it doesn't have a name yet so im gonna call it "the architeuthis leviathan" for now. It's totally different from the new crab one that's probably gonna be the new sea threaders.
and the kraken is there for a first jumpscare and to warn us, so when we get word it is killed by sonething bigger we become extra scared to scout the deep
A few things I noticed or theorize. The Jake Fish is basically a claw machine claw with its mouth shape and theorized hunting style; plus its white underbelly supports that it stays high to be camouflaged. The diving masks are the same at the end her hair just covers part of it and makes it look different. The oxygen packs are the same but might be thinner/wider depending on gender (men usually have broader chests). I think the flippers are the same but the female character's flippers are wore out and parts of them missing which would both explain the shoe showing through and the different patterns. Good analysis. also the building you get a better look at in the beginning during the ReefLeg® scene is the same one you see at the beginning just a closer view. Squid have a siphon jet they use to move quickly maybe they took that idea and reversed it to draw things in.
17:54 look above the tail of the creature being scanned, there is like a corridor structure with a statue in it. i also believe based on the creature at the top of the screen, that this is somewhat like a predatorial dolphin, one that can jump above and across the sea like real ones, just because of the tail and dorsal fin structure, could just be me though.
on 06:47 , the upper left side of the background, near a fume, there's something like a face. i thought "maybe only an illusion due to the background blur", but after it, Anthomnia talks about a face on the nearest rock on the lower left. It's highly possible the ancient ruins where the MC is in this trailer was a temple or a cathedral. the ruins in the back reminds me of european styled windows and architecture. Possibly alien ruins based on such style..
First of, OH MY GOD AM I EXCITED for Subnautica 2! This is gonna be SO awesome! Second of, wanna say I got a Lil Gargy! Happy I got the little guy. Anyways, Subnautica 2, lets goooooi!
One note on the "legback": if they are indeed a crab/ crustation, then they grow their entire life and shed their skin/ shell once in a while. This could explain the "juvinile" form we see in the picture which has no coral growth. This one has recently shedded it's shell. Compare that to the one "adult" form which is completly covered in coral probably hasn't shed in a verry long time. Side note on crustation and their shedding: When a crustation gets older, the interfalls between shedding also gets longer
Exactly...hoping at least that we can get it once they release the full ver of the game..dont just make it as xbox exclusives..waiting 2 years for this now😢
I’m fairly sure it’ll come to PS, but probably in 2027 with the full release. I think it’s just because PlayStation doesn’t have an Early Access system like Xbox/PC platforms.
The movement thingy on the arms seems like a suit upgrade, which means that, differently from the sea glider, it won't take inventory space!! That's a huge improvement.
Hoping that they 1: don't add any npcs and emphasize the aloneness 2:have more cave areas like the lost river instead of bz style caves. Specifically referring to the "spooky" factor
I literally began tearing up after seeing those images at the start of the video and knowing I'll be able to play it in Xbox gamepass, can't wait for this game
17:15 also the fish guy w the eyes on the bottom side of his face, his mouth reminds me a lil bit of both the symbiont fishes in below zero, and the cherlicerate levian's mouth, also in below zero. maybe im just seeing patterns where there arent any though ofc lmfao
Just to point out something about the order, it is more or less out of order on purpose. This is common with cinematography where they do a split time line or flashback and forward to present. It helps to explain visually what has happened and why the character is in dire straights at the start. Somewhat similar to what Deadpool has done in every single one of his movies. A bit rehashed I know, but essentially it limits them from having to show and say more than they wish to build hype on the game. Your reaction are quite good tho. Didn’t even realize it finally got announced. I’m hyped.
The creature at 21:55 reminds me of the fish that would mesmerize/hypnotize you when they opened up like that. It would be interesting if they incorporated that into the shallows

It featured less variety in creatures and biomes than the first, there were less dangers, the map felt incredibly small compared to the first, stuff from the first game couldn't be bothered to be added here like the cyclops for example, less leviathan class creatures, a sub-par story. I could go on
Below Zero was NOT a full game.
Wait the mech is gonna be called The Frog Mech!
Yessss omg
this must be it, 100%
@@ashdog9235 I actually agree a lot with Caecilian being the cyclops equivalent, as the sea truck (which looks the most like a caecilian) was the below zero cyclops
I have a mini theory that (based on the PDA entry) this is the planet that the cuddle fish originates from.
12:18 i love the idea of that sub beaing mech it fits perfectly to the style they want us to se
Beaing
I love it too. A lot of times in the prawn suit I'd need to go somewhere decently far away but either couldn't, or I had to use the cyclops which took awhile. Looks very convenient!
The tadpole is also shaped as a head
i kind of want something big for multiplayer tho like a cyclops or something
Me too, I love Sub1 because of the aliens😢
@@NiCoNiCoNiCola because those animals have three sets of eyes like a spider
@@NiCoNiCoNiCola Its not necessarily the location of the eyes, more where they are pointing. Reapers eyes are on the side, yes, but they are forward facing. It can look directly forwards. An example of this happening IRL is the T-rex, eyes on the side of the head, but still forward facing.
@@CrazyDutchguys Reapers eyes are as front and center as possible, my man's face is shaped like he's a human
For an example of a real fish with its eyes underneath its mouth, look at the Mekong Giant Catfish
Part of what made the first game so good was that the threats were... well, threats.
No one was going to go out of their way to kill a leviathan, and they were so aggressive and creepy looking/sounding.
So, i hope they add that feeling of "i need to run" when faced with a threat again.
The red screenshot on steam does look unsettling ngl. So it looks like they are focusing on that too
Imma be honest, for me personally below zero does this specific job better.
Did you not see that Kraken at the end???? How is that not scary to you
@Aska222 No no! That Kraken was scary as hell! But I'm talking about all the other lethiathans that we will probably be seeing for the other 80% of the game.
Modders, I must make a request
Subnautica 2 could very well be tailored into a 3d barotrauma.
Yeah I kinda hope that they will return to the silent protag like in the first game
@@AleutianSailor Yea I could see your point, excited for the upcoming trailers aswell, a gameplay one would be best. Subnautica 2 is finally here and the community is going to have a very good time
@@AleutianSailori disagree.
The game has so much to offer, that you can cut the ugly human characters and just focus on the game itself.
Can't wait to see the new void leviathan!!
In the first bit where the kraken is seen the player is sucked DOWNWARD
wdyk leviathans always come from underneath

Man, I'm very interested in playing Subnautica 2. I can't wait for the Early Access release. I started playing when there were no textures on the disease research complex yet and even caught the first versions of Below Zero. Thanks for the video and such a detailed analysis. We'll stay tuned
What if instead of having individual batteries for each tool, you have a battery for your suit and your tools use that? Cause that looks like what the "wake maker" is doing
I like the fact that unknown worlds is one of those companied that actually listens to its community and shapes their games around it
I think if you look, the tadpole does take the general shape of the prawn suit cockpit, with aspects from the sea truck so I imagine it Would attach to something, maby you can attach prawn arms to it so it becomes more like modern day subs that can grab and drill and all sorts
14:07 maybe the crab thing is curious about the tadpole, like the way it's looking at it makes me think it could be investigating the submarine
I hope its going to be a big underwater world, with a large variety of handcrafted biomes, alot of flora and fauna diversity, this is going to be epic
Odd that the oxygen warning seems to disappear just by the "Tadpole" being within proximity to the player. New O2 replenishment mechanic?
makes it look like the tadpole will have a proximity alarm as well.

I could be crazy, but in the main picture with the squid and the two divers it looks like there was a second pair of eyes in the head of the squid? A parasitic creature in control of the squid would be so dark and cool! But two creatures with a symbiotic relationship would be interesting as well. 😮
This is a wild take and i fully support it, Holy crap that's some deep thought
i would really love a deep sea area that literally has 0 light except some creatures bioluminesance and the light that you bring down there. cause usually subnautica has some glowing plant life or some glowing lava oceans to give ambiance. but i want PITCH BLACK waters
Showing how the world operates without us.
the ai of fauna will be more complex and interactional with the flora/surroundings too the devs already stated
Farming is just preparation and that's a huge part of any survival game. I am in agreement with you!
Speaking of farming, i want plants that can only be placed in water on foundations have a way to harvest them without being in the complete open, like special thing that blocks any air but pumps water in or something even if its very expensive to craft

I think that bar on the side is for other players to hang on while its moving
@@JackBrady-d5q thats a sick idea too :D
nah its definitely the center part of a frog mech, that why its called tadpole, like how a tadpole grows limbs when evolving into a frog

Again sorry ;-;)
The swim suit with the DNA too: From it being a higher level of technology it could probably mean a few things, for example: it could have some kind of solar energy charging system, because in most of the images and in the video the line lights of the swim suit are only glowing brighter when the player is exposed to sunlight; It could also mean that the swim suit is the key for the DNA changing, like a way of telling if the body of the player suffered some impact putting a DNA that impact us in a more negative or positive way, or also telling if we got wounded or poisoned and because the masks are different it could probably mean a hologram on the side of the mask just like when showing our oxygen or food, etc.
Now a very wild theory: The swim suits and most things don’t have the Aurora symbol but only the color. If we think a bit outside the box it could mean a few things, for example: It could mean the Aurora Is trying to “hide” or “wipe out” the truth and all the horrible things they done in both the normal Subnautica and Subnautica below zero, both ended with more than what? Thousand of people dead, besides the lost of who knows how many billions of dollars in the lost of equipment;
With that in mind it could mean they are probably trying to wipe the dust under the carpet to keep studying and experimenting on unknown life.

It's totally different from the new crab one that's probably gonna be the new sea threaders.
theyre not showing the enemy in trailer i think, the kraken will get killed by whats rly lurking
and the kraken is there for a first jumpscare and to warn us, so when we get word it is killed by sonething bigger we become extra scared to scout the deep
19:44 head me out. That’s a swim charge suit like we saw with the fins in subnautica 1. You swim and it powers the tool you’re holding.
When he showed those hand seagliders, that looks like it can be vr friendly, and you can play vr with subnautica 2
nightmare in those proportions
That would be amazingly terrifying
You know us so well, you even put the "y u lookin tho?" at 18:46
on 06:47 , the upper left side of the background, near a fume, there's something like a face. i thought "maybe only an illusion due to the background blur", but after it, Anthomnia talks about a face on the nearest rock on the lower left. It's highly possible the ancient ruins where the MC is in this trailer was a temple or a cathedral. the ruins in the back reminds me of european styled windows and architecture. Possibly alien ruins based on such style..
Bigger map, more sea monsters, and just a few more building items and its perfection. Oh and co-op
i believe the vehicle you seen in this, is a pod. wich deattach from a bigger vehicle or station maybe. even a ship
This seems to be really promising... I only hope that it is NOT an alternative timeline, but the continuation of the story...

6:07 it looks like a mix between a rifeback and a crabsquid
One note on the "legback": if they are indeed a crab/ crustation, then they grow their entire life and shed their skin/ shell once in a while. This could explain the "juvinile" form we see in the picture which has no coral growth. This one has recently shedded it's shell. Compare that to the one "adult" form which is completly covered in coral probably hasn't shed in a verry long time. Side note on crustation and their shedding: When a crustation gets older, the interfalls between shedding also gets longer

I’m hyped.
