- A short story about enjoying the little moments in life. Apologies if you see an ad, I used some copyrighted music in this one.
Tech Specs:
BMPCC4K (and one sneaky shot from a LUMIX S5)
Meike 16MM T2.2
Zhongyi Mitakon Speedmaster 25MM T1.0
BRAW 8:1
Tiffen BPM 1/8
Freewell VND
Related to this in more ways than one. The 4:16 shot was pure feature film ending vibes!
Thanks man! The edit in this one was a lot of fun. I just happened to wake up at sunrise on the last day and ran down to the beach to get this closing shots.
I just discovered your channel and I am already subscribed. You truly transmit something special in your videos (your short-movies should I say?), the photography, the rhythm, the story-telling, the music and sound/voice-over. It's really inspiring. Please keep doing this stuff if you can (and want to, of course). Thanks!
Thank you, I truly appreciate that. Will definitely keep making them, have a couple I’ve been chipping away at so stay tuned!
I just absolutely love your quirky sensibility as a filmmaker. Was thus shocked to discover that you're in... IT? These little films of yours are amazing. Looking forward to many more of them.
Thanks, Morgan! Really appreciate your comment. And yeah, this type of stuff is far removed from my day job! It’s a great creative outlet.
Your composition, the story, the colors and editing, everything is beautiful! 🙌
Thank you so much!
please never stop making these
Thanks, Michael! Already planning on a few more.
Man, i just found your Channel and i love your Videos! The way you tell your Storys is just hilarious and to make a story out of nothing is so good. Also the pictures are simply beautiful and inspiring! I’m about to receive my pocket 4K…
Please keep doing this kind of videos!
Wow, thanks Alan, I really appreciate your comment! Seriously, so nice to hear things like this. Congrats on the P4K, it's such a fantastic camera. Look forward to seeing what you create with it!
Beautiful
Thank you! Cheers!
Needed this today!
Hope it helped!
Great job man. Such an engaging piece, artistic simplicity at its best.
Thank you, appreciate that.
Man your stuff is inspiring me to do more with my pocket 4k i appreciate your work fr please make more...ps you have a new sub over here
Thanks Leon! Just checked out your latest video- I had much the same experience with the P4K, took me a bit to really learn the camera and when I did I discovered just how much it can do.
@@brandonrude I’m learning that now, I’m gonna need a tutorial sesh man.
Hi Brandon, I enjoy watching your video. I wonder how do you deal with manual focus on BMPCC? Like the scene 0:43 made me wonder that. It's really good.
Thanks! Focusing can be a challenge indeed. I often find something like a stick on the ground (or I’ll put my backpack where I intend to stand, and then set focus on it. Then I stand in that spot and usually I’m in focus. For the shot you mentioned I was on a pretty wide lens and I set the aperture at T8.0, so pretty much the whole scene was in focus.
Lovely stuff!
Thanks Jared!
There's a focus hunt at 3:25 so my guess that was the S5.
Fair guess but it’s actually the shot in the car where I’m driving. The P4K was just too big to fit on the dashboard hah
hi! what about that Mitakon vs the Meike? i am considering to get the mitakon t1.0 set for my bmpcc4k
..thanks!!!
can you tell me about the differences please? what of those brands do you prefer? thanks!
@3:03 is my favorite!!! 😂
Thanks Christan!. She was demonstrating "the switch" that happens lol
Do you make films for a living? Or is this a hobby?
It's a hobby. I am working on putting together an actual narrative short film, but not with the intention of trying to become a professional filmmaker. Just doing it purely for my own enjoyment basically.
@@brandonrude That's great to know! You're doing a good job. This is inspiration for me to go out there and film something myself. I'm planning to get the meike lenses as well.
@@ashwinnsaxena Very pleased to hear you say that! And yes, go out and film something and just enjoy the creative process. Love the Meike lenses, super good bargain for a great image. Look forward to seeing what you create.
