  • Step by step beginner guide to starting your journaling era. I'm sharing the why, when, how, and what (to write) of journaling. I also share some alternative ways to journal instead of just pen to paper and finish the video with a live journaling session!

Yay I loved this video! ❤😊
My journaling is a mess LOL in the sense that I tried writing a diary like my mom taught me. She says it's like "talking to a friend" and I like that idea, but when I tried that, I didn't feel convinced. I felt nothing. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I just write about things I want to say on paper, wether it's small or a lot.
Another thing I noticed about writing in my diary is that since I have chronic nerves and depression, over the years, my memory has been getting worse. I call it "I have selective memory" LOL 😂 because I tend to remember only bits and pieces of a conversation. I want to improve that but I don't know how. So when I want to write it down, I can't write the full conversations I had with someone or group of people because I forget it all.
And third, when I want to write a lot, my writing gets so sloppy and rushed because I feel anxious to write it all down.
These are things I realized while watching this video. Any advice? 🤔?
I'm happy to see you again. I hope all is good with you and your family. ❤😊

Hi! I think my advice would be to not worry about it being so perfect. Doesn't matter if the writing is sloppy (mine is sometimes too when I'm in a rush to get all my thoughts out), or if it all makes sense or if you don't remember exactly all the details. Just focus on the things that may be bothering you, or having a negative impact, or the things you would like to grow or evolve into. You don't have to journal about every single aspect of your life, just the parts that you want to pour energy into. Remember to also give yourself grace and know that none of this has to be perfect, and it's meant to be helpful. So if any part of it feels like a chore or it's not fun then shift gears and try some other form, like art journaling.

Wonderful ideas! 🎨🖌️📖💗 I get overwhelmed and anxious about journaling and find it much easier to do collage or art journaling instead. Journaling really can be whatever works for the individual.
