Love this thanks for sharing your spreads are beautiful
I dislike annotating so much however this was an interesting video. I enjoyed it.
Loved this ,thank you, and yes I got so engrossed in this ,plz do more of reading with me with the Annatation, really loved xx
You have explained this so well that I understand. Thank you. I do have a question. I am currently reading Zodiac Academy, I'm on book 7, and I don't want to start in the middle of a series, but for a series would it be better to have the stickes / tabs all the same color for each category or do you think each book should have it's own?
Totally up to you and your personal preference! I'm a bit more Type A (lol) so I would probably try to the same color tabs for every book if they are in the same series.
Thank you for doing thos video♡ stupid question on the side, where did you get these bookshelves?
They are from Wayfair!
I had little interest to read this book until I’ve watch you annotate this book now it’s on my radar thank you 😊
No one will say you but I will, you have such a fake accent...just speak normally...it's definitely not yours🫣
If I can only do one should I do pencil or highlighter?? Btw tysm for this it was so helpful! I wanna start with just one of those but I can’t decide which looks better
If you would like a less permanent option then go for the pencil, but I usually prefer highlighters because they stand out more.
I want to annotate my specail edittion book but i dont want to write on it. How to annote with only sticky notes?
I haven't tried this myself yet but it's a great option to not ruin books. Get sticky notes you can write on so you have somewhere to collect thoughts that aren't on the actual book.
Very on point. :) love this. This is also how I do it. 🥰
Anxious People was the first book I felt compelled to annotate. I loved it so much! Great video. I have not really done much annotating but I have been looking to see what kinds of things other people are doing in theirs and it was nice to see some things that can help streamline such as the techniques (underlines & color choices).
Such a great book to annotate, as well as all of his other ones!
Hello, my name is Christina and I'm new to your chancel and the books I'm reading are Fudge Cupcake Murder by Joanne Fluke Marley & Me by John Grogan When We Found Home by Susan Mallery The Magnolia Sisters by Michelle Major Double Fudge Felony by Molly Maple The Cuban Affeir by Nelson Demille A Christmas by the Sea by Melody carlson.
Welcome to the channel! That's a great list of books!
Omg, your reaction at the very end of the story was exactly like mine :D Such a cosy channels, and vlogs, liked and subscribed :D
Welcome to the channel! That ending was crazy! Have you started Onyx Storm yet?
I really love Barnes and Noble. They are just an amazing company and I feel like they really love books and love the people that love books.
It was so funny when you said sometimes read like 8 books at one time… I am reading 8 now, I have always been like this and when I tell people that they absolutely look at me like I am crazy 🤪 so it was so nice to hear you say it also! I just finished a reading slump also and it was horrible, I still feel a little of it now too. Anyway I love that I found your channel and congratulations on your new house. I can’t wait to see your library footage ❤
Welcome to the channel - nice to meet a fellow 8-book reader lol! We can't explain it but it makes sense in our heads!
Sure Barnes & Nobles is fun; but, I prefer to buy used books at the library book sale.
3:27 Off topic…I’m an Esthetician and Brow Artist and I just wanted to say I love your brows! Xo
Thank you!
What is this heaven and how do we get it in Europe!
Unfortunately there are no Barnes in Europe but I know they have other amazing bookstores. Where do you live? What's your local bookstore? There are some amazing Waterstone's in England.
The largest bookstore chain in Britain was revitalized by the same man who is now revitalizing Barnes & Nobles.
Good to see you again 😊 I went to Barnes & Noble a couple of weeks ago but I didn't buy anything in their book section. I went to the Starbucks cafe and read a book but I did buy a pastry and a drink at the cafe. This year I'm trying to focus more on relaxing and not worry about the hustle and bustle of life. I am also walking more and going to the parks more. It's not too cold right now where I live.
Sounds amazing ❤
I mean it’s good to get out no matter how cold it is. Even if it’s for five minutes, it’s actually very healthy.
I love all of that! Sounds just like the year I'm trying to have as well - slow living and mindful moments not rushing through life.
I really wanted to start annotating but i never knew where to start and this video make it so clear and easy to understand thank you!!😆
Nice haul and video! Excited to see the study after you get it set up. Bit no rush!! 😅 I’ve added Katee Robert to my tbr. Thanks for the rec!
So happy for you! Book shopping/browsing is just so fun and relaxing 🥰 Next time I'm at B&N, I plan to get Wild Eyes by Elsie Silver and ofcourse Variation by Rebecca Yarros 💗🤗 FYI, be prepared to cry....the last letter had me sobbing 🙊
Wild Eyes was soooo good - highly recommend!
@sweetteatohightea Automatically added to cart- thanks!! 😆🙌📖
I loved The Last Letter! It was very emotional but so good.
I'm so scared to start thinking it'll break my heart!
Yay, you're back! ❤🎉
Only for a bit! Not sure if you saw my update but I'm having the baby very soon so I'll be gone for a bit again. However, I have big plans to come back with lots of new video ideas, especially now that we live on the coast! Hope you've been well!
@ Oh, I keep forgetting to check the community tab lol! Aww no problem. Take all the time you need. Your precious baby comes first. I've been better now. I had a rough summer/fall in 2024 but I'm slowly getting there. Thank you so much for asking. 💞💖
Glad to hear you are slowly feeling better - give yourself grace and take it one day at a time!
@@sweetteatohightea Okay, will do. 👍💖
That Barnes and Noble was huge! Wow 😮
I loooove this video. Thank you for a simple guide on how to annotate. My goal this year is to get more into reading. I thought the best way to enjoy it and not to easily get bored is annotating. This video makes me more excited to read... Thank you.... I love your penmanship btw^^
So glad you enjoyed it - excited for you to read and annotate more this year!
Well, now I need to read that book! 😂 And am now off to annotate my very first book! 🫣
How exciting - happy annotating!
I found this video super helpful to get me started. Annotating has always intimidated me. You laid it out simply and I LOVED the annotating you did on camera. I'm excited now to annotate my favorite books now.
So glad it was helpful - what book are you starting with?
@sweetteatohightea It’s called Amanda: Smart Girls Don't Fall For Their Famous Exes by Sarah Monzon. It's a sweet romantic comedy with really good chronic illness rep. As someone who is struggling with multiple chronic illnesses it has really spoken to me. I figured this would be a good start for me.
You’ve inspired me so much. I want to get into annotating… I hope to order Pride and Prejudice, and East of Eden soon (John Steinbeck is so good, heavy topics but Of Mice and Men was amazing). I’ve been reading Woman in Black but I haven’t annotated it yet. I also want to get back into reading Carl Sagan’s ‘Cosmos’.
Of Mice and Men was such a good read when I was in school. You definitely can't go wrong with annotating any of those pics! Carl Sagan is also a genius and one of my faves! Happy annotating!
Im annotating a fantasy rn! Quicksilver! It's my second book every annotating and i honestly think i like this better, before this i annoted a mystery but i felt like i was not highlighting/underlining a lot and it felt a little empty so i actually like fantasy better because theres more to annotate and i also pay more attention whenim annotating so i like it a lot esp for the world building cause youre so focused
I'm actually reading Quicksilver right now too! Fantasy worlds are so much fun to annotate because there's so much to say!
Please do more annotating videos!
This is the BEST video for this subject. I am a bibliophile. I have to sniff a book every time I open it, and I love collecting special editions (sometimes multiples of a single book). I’ve loved finding old books with people’s notes in them, but I’ve felt that starting my own in a new book is defiling it somehow. I love the idea of leaving a piece of me in the books I enjoy, and your video really helps me gain the courage to do that. I think I might start with ‘Cosmos’, or ‘Jane Eyre’. I was afraid of marking up hardcovers as they seem so much fancier than paperbacks, but your video has made me view that in a whole different light! Thank you!
I'm so glad this video has inspired you to annotate some of your own books - the 2 you mentioned sound like a great start!
This is a late comment, but to cake my tabs even when I'm done with a section or the whole book I just used scissors and carefully cut the longer ones! :)
Im reading the first percy jackson book im on page 100
AUUGH, THANKS SO MUCH! I LOVE BOOKS 😅

Thank you so much for the info. Great video.
What a beautiful office you have! It's really inspiring. 😊
You pulled me out of my reading slump. Thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏
So glad to hear that! What are you reading?
@@sweetteatohightea it is a French book named "Le Chêne et la Foudre" by Sam Agaeli. It is a fantasy book and the first pages immediately drawn me into it. Then I will read certainly read "the Inheritance game" as a read both in French and English indistinctly :)
I added those three books to my TBR ❤️ my bookshelf is organized by author last name. I do not do the rainbow because I want all of the authors together 😊
I think this is what I'm going to do at the new place!
so happy you are back. hope the move goes well 😊 I recently got a painting by stickers book you showed in one of your vlogs and its so much fun to do 😁
They're such great stress relievers - glad you're enjoying them!
hi. i just found you. i would love to hear and see your impressions and thoughts (around new england) that draw your attention each day or week. With the expanded family your focus will alter and i look forward to hearing your unique take on whatever presents itself. joyful move to you.
So glad to see you back! And yeah, taking a break from time to time is so important. Also, digital detox is soooo important. Thanks for everything you are sharing.❤ Congrats on new family member coming soon, so exciting. And the move as well!
I'm new to annotating world.I read books for a long time but never did any annotation.Recently I'm thinking to learn about it and from that day I'm trying to find some basic videos for beginners ( in annotation ) ,but trust me,I didn't find any, most of the annotation videos in TH-cam are not beginner friendly ,It became so difficult to understand about annotation. Finally I found your video, and when I started the video,I didn't think much. But after finishing the video,I can say OMG ,finally I found a great video where I can learn from the beginning.Your video is so informative, and most importantly I watched the 45 minutes video without getting bored.Girl,I love your channel just by watching one video of your🌼💞.Thank you.Your new subscriber is here 🖐🏻💗🪷
I'm so glad you found it helpful! Welcome to the channel!
