The dude did a couple of underhanded things that were disgusting, like the biting, but his dirty legacy is about the quality of his antics rather than frequency. Ramos however... You could make a highlight reel longer than this video of dirty hits from him without even trying very hard. He and Pepe are going to go down as some of the dirtiest players in history, but Suarez will be more remembered for his time at Barca with Messi and Neymar as one of the best, if not THE best, front 3 ever to play together.

I agree with you. Ward was not a dirty player but he certainly did dish some epic hits. And I remember that game. Ward got his bell ring but came up smiling.
Ward's hit was tough and legal. Ward played barely within the rules. But it was within the rules. Eventually, Ward's block became illegal.
I love how in hockey and football dudes just wreck each other, and barring being knocked out or some severely broken bones, they get up and go about their business. In soccer and basketball, if you look at a guy too hard he falls to the ground writhing in pain.

He has tried and almost succeeded to end the careers of at least a dozen guys, one day he will succeed, take him out of the game and save all the people he plays. And it is sad really as he has the talent to be great without being a hack that tries to hurt people, he is just screwed up in the head and can't seem to help himself.

I videotaped that game live, and still have the entire play (including the play before the epic hit, where Largent uncharacteristically argued with the ref on a bad call when the ref's mic was on) on tape. You knew Largent was fired up even before Harden's interception. Love that era of the Seahawks.....
