After looking back at this video a few years later, there are definitely some plays that weren’t dirty. Please excuse my younger self lol
I'd say American football has some stupid rules that cause problems. For example the flopping on the ground to avoid taking a tackle is just crazy. In Rugby league you can't do that for exactly this reason, it leads to people smashing you on the ground. That shouldn't be allowed, if you take a voluntary tackle you should lose the ball. get rid of that stupid taking a knee BS to, that sucks.
@@rerooar it’s for the Quarterback and if you see them slide (because they aren’t really supposed to be hit) you don’t hit them it’s just a rule. I get what you’re saying but football is very different from rugby in which the game is played.
@@lil_thanos6213 a lot of times they don’t mean to hit people after they slide, it’s just impossible to “un-commit” from a tackle you already started
I was gonna say the same thing, salute to you for saying it
These are baby hits compared to what football use to be.
“Hurdles! Kicks a man!” Will always be one of the greatest calls ever lmao
Funny ASF. He said it so enthusiastically lol
You gotta love ab. His antics are unmatched

That was pretty damn hilarious. 😂😂😂😂
That was badass lol
Like I feel for “A Man,” but oh man is it hilarious.
"And a flag is thrown"
In full disclosure i havent read the NFL rulebook, but im guessing theres nothing on jump kicking a defender mid-play. Imma say no flag
7:32 "Popping up and down like he did something impressive." You can *hear* the disdain in that call.
The guy who dealt the dirty hit, Marquel Wade, was promptly ejected for a flagrant personal foul despite Vanderbilt declining the penalty yards due to it essentially sending them backwards compared to where their secondary returner (the main one, Jonathan Krause, was the guy Wade leveled) got the ball. Offenses in football usually decline penalty yards if the result they got on the play during which the flag was thrown is better than where the penalty yards would put them (another prominent example is the New York Giants declining a pass interference penalty on Dallas defensive back Brandon Carr due to the touchdown Odell Beckham Jr scored through an incredible one-handed catch).
@@whatever3132not surprised at all
I hate that as a Arkansas fan
That stiff arm by Steve Smith on the catch in the clip before it was tough though! Dude was ferocious.
@@TheDogGoesWoof69Don't be that guy.
Those hits on the punt returners when they're looking up and waiting for the ball are attempted murder 💀
That’s why you fair catch. Not saying what they did was ok but there are protections for the receiver.
It's football not pussy basketball
@@jonathanbagley4043 people like you baffle me. It’s like you don’t know what a hit on a defenseless receiver is. This is the definition copied straight from the nfl themselves: “A kickoff or punt returner attempting to field a kick in the air”
@@spiderodoom In 1946, Brooklyn Dodger manager Leo Durocher made the headlines when he told a sports reporter that: "Nice guys finish last." All the so-called NFL "dirty cheap shots" featured in this video merely carry on an Old American Sports Tradition that existed even before Durocher was born.
Lmao that was my first thought at 3:14 he legit didn't realize that nobody downed him and got folded like a lawn chair
“Hurdles! Kicks a man!” Might be one of the best announcing moments I’ve ever heard. Couldn’t believe what I saw when AB went for the Sparta Kick

Honestly I got a lot of respect for Linemen protecting their Quaterbacks. Even when the play is over they will do whatever they can to protect them, even by fighting other players
Hell yea, the only problem I see is when they don’t fight the players for doing something to the QB
I remember watching that game when Charles Martin slammed Jim McMahon on his passing shoulder after the play was over (5:00). It put McMahon on the IR for the rest of the season. That has to be the dirtiest cheap shot in NFL history. The play had been over for 10-15 seconds and Martin just walked up to McMahon and picked him up and slammed him down right on his shoulder. He was suspended for two games it should have been life.
Agreed as a packer fan brain dead move
totally . a completely unnecessary hit, basically assault
As I recall, Martin lost his spot on the roster, the team dropped him at the end of the year, and no one else picked him up.
Ironic that McMahon later finished his career with the Packers backing up Farve.
Dirty AF, but the play wasn't over. When he saw there was an interception, that was his "excuse" for going after the QB.
@@AndyMatts44Yes, it was over. The intercepting player was down immediately after he caught it. Martin was dirty.
I love how Steve Smith scores, takes the late hit, then celebrates, then goes after the guy. Rough rider 😁😁😁

It kills me how the announcer said it like it's a normal thing. They were more worried about why he didn't take the outside than kicking a guy in the face.
@ReturnoftheBrotha Yeah but it looked like he went towards the guy just to hurdle him for style points which is just unnecessary
It was his Seth Rollins impression
@ReturnoftheBrotha ha ha
The vid of Steve Smith getting hit after the play, celebrating in the dudes face and then going to fight him after the celly was hilarious
Pouncy from the Steelers (#53, the last clip) is the realest dude ever. Him and the other O-lineman rushed Garrett immediately after he hit Mason Rudolph with the helmet. Then Pouncey legit started to put the boots to him when they got him down 😂😂😂😂😂
The part that kills me about that play is you see Rudolph trying to get Garrett's helmet off right before his helmet gets taken off.

Most costly hit here was the one by Burfect against Brown. There was 18 seconds left in this playoff game, and the Bengal defense had been stopping Pittsburgh all night. This changed the game and ended the Bengals season. I'm not saying Cincinnati would have beat Denver (who won the SB with Peyton Manning that year) or New England and Tom Brady, but they had a chance, and this one play took all that away.
To add, Brown said Burfect later apologized directly to him at least.
I remember that Alonso hit on Flacco. Pretty sure a few plays later Flacco absolutely torches Alonso's lack of coverage for a touchdown. Long time ago, but I remember feeling very satisfied seeing that.
Flacco missed rest of season... He was knocked out. I actually think that is when Lamar Jackson went in and started from there on out
That was definitely one of the dirtier ones on here
@@brandonrizzo3491I believe you’re correct
Steve Smith holding Jenkins up by his facemask while talking shit down to him has to be the best way to win an altercation while wearing helmets that I’ve ever seen.
That is a young Jennings there. Had to make sure that it was him.
@Jonathan King Dat's the one lol
He grabbed him by the Jersey not helmet
Steve Smith’s was my favorite clip here. Get hit with a cheap shot. “Bitch, I celebrate in your face.” “Bitch, I am 5 foot 4 but will now kick your ass.”
Dude was one of my favorite players. Just a stone cold badass.
1mp0ster he was feared too. Dude is hellva strong
Love how at 7:38 even Number 9 is just sitting like
“df you doin, cmon man.”
The one thing I have always questioned while coaching or watching football, how do they expect someone going full speed to come to a full stop or take “evasive maneuvers”, especially when being shoved from behind? Granted, a lot of these were cheap shots but at least one was not.
Flacco looked like he was asking for the check after being hit lol
Lol I hate laughing at that but it's true 😆
🤣🤣🤣 He did look like that though.
In a spongebob voice “ooooh waaaaaiterrrr” lmao.
“Check please!” 😂
Its called "fencing response" and is indicative of a brain injury like a concussion. I mean still a solid joke, just something I think football fans should be aware of considering it's unfortunate frequency in the game.
2:09 - 2:25 - One of the best play-by-plays I've ever heard. Just because the "kicks a man" sounded like a completely normal football play
1:16 I like how Trubiskey pops back up and is like "Nuh uh, you are not leaving our bench area before we whoop your ass first."
6:50 This play has a little bit of everything, starting with Jonathan Stewart's block tossing the Saints' blitzing linebacker over his shoulders like a sack of potatoes, and ending with Steve Smith manhandling Jenkins after the late hit.
That last one seemed clean, he was just trying to put the QBs helmet back on for him. Nice guy
Love how the linemen knocked him tf out.
Nice
True
Being a Steelers fan I would say that was assault
Being a Browns fan, I would say it was just helping him out 🤣
6:50 my favorite, not only does the guy keep his composure after the late hit, but also throws the guy to the ground when he comes after him😂
Steve smith just like that
if he screwed with him even one more time, Smith would have had him no problem
Scores. Celebrates. Beats the guy's ass. That is Steve Smith and why he's a legend.
If I ever have a kid, boy or girl, I'm naming it Steve Smith Sr.
That's Steve Smith Boi! Man handled his situations.
Steve Smith was ferocious. 😂
That spartan kick to the face just makes me laugh every single time
"Hurdles, kicks a man!" Will forever be my favorite comment by an NFL commentator ever. Never ceases to make me smile whenever I hear it.
That whole commentary sounded like an episode of MXC.
Modern clips: "Oh you can't do that. He's going to be ejected from the game."
Old clips: "That's the risk you take running at such a ferocious hitter."

Lol too funny I was looking to make this same comment, he’s been a dirty player his whole career.
That was thoroughly entertaining
Here is my thing with the qb slide. I think it should be the same rule as when the qb passes the ball. Two steps. Qbs are trying to milk every last step and then slide at the very last second when the defender is already preparing to make the tackle. To me if the defender is that close then you no longer get the safety of a slide. If you want to take yards and not take a hit then slide well in advance of the defender even being able to hit you, but if the defender is within two steps and hits you mid slide i feel like that should be legal because the qb made the choice to take the extra yards. Its unfair to expect a defender to some how magically redirect his motion because a qb started his slide milliseconds before he started his tackle motion.
I've said the same thing for years. I've watched a lot of defenders who have already left their feet when the QB slides. What are they supposed to do at that point? There is nothing they can do but take the penalty. In a way it's cheating. They are gaming the system for extra free yards counting on the personal foul.

He was a bright young kid now he's a babbling fool who can't get along with anyone (definitely because of brain damage) I remember that episode of South Park where they mocked the NFL for not addressing that some of the players definitely have long term brain damage
He could have died. It’s all I could think about…that much force going the other way so quickly, he could have snapped his neck.
Unfortunately, he was a dumbass long before he got into the NFL.
11:11 Now this is the worst kind of dirty hit. The one that costs you the game lol
When Brown was running the the kickoff return wasnt that the football clip from The Last Boyscout? I thought he was gonna pull a gun after the face kick.
Is no one going to talk about 7:55 when they’ve on the D-Line jumped on the guy on the O-Line?
Wow. That was quite the cheap stuff. A jumping double stomp with cleats by a 300 pound man??
It makes sense in so many ways.
POS move = probably a packer
And no flag? = DEFINITELY a packer
MVProfits ikr
damn ur right! that wasnt even the focus of the play but its there and pretty disgusting. i’d say it’s way worse than shoving peyton to the bench. i hope he got ejected, fined, and suspended
Javier Delgado to be fair that O linemen completely speared his knees. Did he handle it wrong? Probably. But he had a right to be pissed those are some multi million dollar knees that could have been wrecked from something like that
Is anyone else gonna talk about the block at 6:49 he flipped him over his back
That guy deserves a good job
Brodown 64 jonathan stewart btw
@@mac4408 Thanks!
Nice eyes dude! Never would've caught that.
I was praying someone else saw it and was gonna say something
the Wisconsin LSU one is crazy
2:20
This is last Boy Scout stuff right here
I've always said, anyone who injures a player while in the act of a committing an illegal (penalty) play should be suspended for as long as the injured player is out.
They should really implement that for real
And pay their hospital bills
@@hahaimasian And rehabilitation, and cover any monetary loss due to contractual obligations with sponsors.
@@hahaimasian and help the injured player with daily PT.
This should be a criminal charge. Period.
Dam I go to LSU now but that hit at 3:14 what a loser that’s so dirty
Sean C yo sup, lives in Tennessee and I’m a vols fan
O fr?
gta freak yup
The ball was still alive
Sakura From Wii Sports not in college that’s only an nfl rule.
Steve Smith was beast af
Pat White was never the same after that hit.
Randy Moss: fake-moons a goalpost
Joe Buck: THAT IS A DISGUSTING ACT
Myles Garrett: Swings a helmet at a dude's head
Joe Buck: Aw gosh!
It's cuz Moss owned his beloved Packers and he couldn't handle it. Everybody knows Buck is a GB simp.
Myles Garrett is my hero for it to
Buck is the worst.
Rudolph deserved it.
@@kyleburgess780 exactly. You can clearly see Rudolph is trying to rip Garrett's helmet off first. It isn't until he does it that Garrett decides to go after Rudolph's helmet.
It's wild that Suh is still allowed to play after so many dirty plays by him
He has ended careers already. His should be over. So glad vontaze burfict is out of the league. He is probably responsible for CTE on several players.
There is a time when bullies need to be ejected from the league
It's football boys not golf
@@wildestcowboy2668 Yes, football is an aggressive and physical sport. There is still a big difference between being aggressive and intentionally trying to hurt players on the opposing team. Burfict, Suh and Haynesworth were notorious for doing things that would get people hurt. Hines Ward was also bad about it and the reason it's illegal to go to the head during a blindside block when he ended an opposing players season by breaking his jaw on a block.
@@buddylee83 That's why he said it ain't golf.
Bruh….Steve Smith took that hit AND yoked dude up 💀💀💀💀that boy was a menace lmaooo
12:26 reminds me of Jack Tatum's hit on Sammy White in Super Bowl XI.
