The worst ending in Mass Effect 2 is all of them because none of them involve FemShep waking up in Kaidan's Vancouver beach house after quitting Cerberus, and Kaidan bringing her morning coffee.

The wrong choices of people in key positions can still get people killed…and not always the person you choose as you saw with grunt. One thing that people often don’t think about when they play the unalive mission is that the game had a long time before ‘ME3 came out and most people would replay it to get the best outcome possible. So I actually encourage people to replay the mission if they screw it up because WE ALL DID! Thankfully you aced it tho. 😁
My first playthrough I lost Mordin. I thought escorting the civilians would be dangerous so I sent Zaeed, and then I took Garrus with me to fight the Reaper, not knowing I was greatly weakening my team's defensive value.

This kind of ending was wild to me the first time I saw it. It's just...wow. I always thank players who purposefully play the game badly to give us content like this because I don't have the heart to do it. ME1? Maybe. ME2? No way. Also, I'm not gonna lie...I was VERY fortunate in my first ME2 playthrough. I miraculously got a perfect final mission. The upgrades and loyalty missions being essential didn't surprise me that much since I had learned how important loyalty was in ME1 (if you know, you know) and I'm the type to make sure everything is upgraded to the max if I can in any given game. The part that stressed me out was choosing people for each assignment. Now...the invisible time crunch...I was lucky with that one to be honest. I didn't even know about it until my friend congratulated me for finishing ME2. Thank my lucky stars 🤣
This is the real thing guys, i remeber trying to get this ending once and somehow three characters were alive at the end and my Shepard survived, this ending is really REALLY hard to get.
So brutal. I was waiting for you to see Shepard's fate. No importing to ME3 with that ending. I can imagine that's super rough lol. You got a damn good ending. Maybe minus saving the collector base, but we can blame Garrus(?) for that. Very rare L from him haha. I actually had garrus die on my first playthrough. I reloaded the suicide mission entirely to find out where I went wrong 😅
You did great on your run and you are going to have great experience with the final installment! And yeah ME2 final mission was a peak experience, they really made those choices to matter.
Dude my first replay of this Kasumi died during the mission and I bawled my eyes out and reloaded. Not ashamed. I couldn’t do it though. It was depressing.
Technically there is a way to make this ending even worse. If you delay the final mission after the Collector abduction, Chambers is the one who gets liquified inside the Collector pod.
My very first playthrough back in the old PlayStation 3 days I lost about four characters. I was heartbroken. I lost Tali in the pipes. I lost Jack same as the video clip. I lost Jacob as the fire team leader. And i lost Miranda after using swarm bubble. So i did a new game + and just fixed that whole mess. 🤣🍻
@themanyfacesofpaulgato9447 no, she can't. If she holds the bubble someone will die but if she's in your squad, it will always be the 2nd squad that dies and never Miranda. She can only die in the final battle either holding the line or fighting the human reaper
And you can’t import this save to ME3 since everyone including Shep are dead. This is also why, as you’re now seeing as you play, that at the beginning of ME3, you play with a new character, James, the Virmire survivor since they’re not in ME2 hardly at all, and Liara since she can’t be killed here either. They had to make it so you could actually have squad mates if you killed everyone lol.
Even if you're happy with the ending you got in your own playthrough, it's only when you watch one of these "worst outcome" videos that you realise just how well you actually did!
Be it the best ending or the worst, Paragon or Renegade, the person I feel the most sorry for is the Collector General. At the very end, Harbinger telling him "You have failed. We'll find another way. Releasing control." and lets him go; the Collector General at that point has his own will, whatever is left, to see the base blow up around him and watch a fireball coming towards him. Also, this "worst ending' video has Shepard using the EMP on the base instead of blowing it up. Wonder who would do that. :P Speaking of, the star in TIM's room showcases the decision made, in case you didn't already know (you probably did, but hey maybe someone else doesn't)...blowing up the base shows a blue star (Paragon), using the EMP shows a red star (Renegade), and this worst ending has no star, just a black empty void.
I think you got it dead on by praising Bioware for actually making this ending. They definitely appreciate the thirst for chaos that some players have 😂 That panning shot of the coffins of all the squadmates was brutal. At least Joker gets a cabin upgrade along with a space hamster and some fish that EDI would have to remind him to feed.
Point of order, not actually the worst ending, since the worst ending means all of the kidnapped Normandy crew are turned into goo by the Collectors aside from Chakwas. End result I guess is the same, but the earlier a bad decision is made (doing more missions before going through the Omega 4 relay) the worse I think.
I purposely had Thane and Jacob killed in ME2 by intentionally making wrong choices in the suicide mission. Killed Zaheed myself in his loyalty mission. I also killed Wrex in ME1 and chose Kaidan over Ashley.
my first run I saved everyone but jack second everyone but legion now I know the formula but that first time playing I was on pins and needles the whole time

The worst ending is the hardest to achieve on your first playthrough. Because unless you were totally ignorant, achieving this ending on your first playthrough is hard😂
yeah, your only mistake was taking too long to rescue the crew. Everything else you made right choices. As mentioned, there is a flowchart for all correct choices. Obviously you made right choices, but I mean what other choices for specialist and team leader etc are acceptable.
I would gladly donate Jacob to save everyone else. The way he treated Tali and the fact that he is such a boring character. I hate token black guys when there are so many cool black people and characters that could be. Idris Elba proved that in Cyberpunk.
Is it wrong i was laughing so hard at your reactions Basic😅? P.S i dont think weve seen you play The Arrival DLC for ME2. Did you do that off camera or something?
This is not the worst ending ... which I think I achieved for the meme. Only squad survivors are Thane and Morinth, making for a really dodgy ME3 import ... which turned out very interesting, though not recommended for a first run. Or alternatively, you can get dominated by Morinth on the ship after the mission, and immediately die.
You can't ME3 won't accept a save from before the suicide mission and it's not possible to save after this ending. You either have to do the mission over, start again or start ME3 with the default world state/the world state comic.
@Rert So Bioware didn't even bother to account for a worst case outcome and make the effort because it might have cost extra. Lame! I've written a lot of stories, but I'd make the effort to be creative for an 'everybody ded' situation going into ME3. Kaidan or Ash could take the lead for Shepard, there's still Wrex and Liara along with the new heroes Samantha, Steve and Javik, heck Joker and EDI and Anderson are still alive. The situation might be a lot more bleak, but you can still write a story without Shepard and the crew from the second game!
it's horrible from a gameplay perspective, and you literally cant import into me3 if shep dies, you could probably assume things for the galaxy dont go very well without shep but purely from a story perspective its kind of neat seeing it be an actual suicide mission like you're told it will be all game, its cool and we love our friends and all and its definitely more enjoyable in me3, but practically everyone surviving kind of makes it seem like they were just being dramatic for nothing the whole time lmao
hiya kiddo, looks like a very well staged no loyalty pick wrong team members to show a total fail, it was very well done. ….so we have to wait until Monday to get our ME:3? Please tell me you’re gonna upload more than once a week for me:3 D: . No more 1 week wolf among us blueballing!!!
@@bros1183 hahaha Arrival DLC tomorrow! Then ME3 on Monday! Mass Effect posts are twice a week! Monday and Thursday!
Love your hair today
I tried this once but was only left alive with Samara. Had no idea Shep could die
are you already playing me3?
Yup! already started recording! 3 eps in, but please no backseating!
@@basicwitgirl I can already hear your kaiden reactions in ME3 in my head
I can't be backseating, I am actively playing the game (by definition of backseating). Actually I'm not, I'm finishing up another me2.
You should consider doing the dragon age trilogy.
@@paull8627 dragon age playthrough coming after mass effect!
The worst ending is the hardest to achieve on your first playthrough. Because unless you were totally ignorant, achieving this ending on your first playthrough is hard😂
Are you going to be doing the Arrival DLC before ME3?
@@aimeeboersma590 yes! It’ll be posted Thursday!
This is what happens when you focus on Kaiden and not upgrading your ship...
Nah nah nah, this is what happens when you take Garrus up for the reach and flexibility demonstration instead of upgrading your ship😂
@@basicwitgirl you got plastic surgery for your scares instead of ship upgrades. You're the worst commander ever 🤣
yeah, your only mistake was taking too long to rescue the crew.
Did you do that off camera or something?
goes live thursday!
This is not the worst ending ... which I think I achieved for the meme.
Only squad survivors are Thane and Morinth, making for a really dodgy ME3 import ... which turned out very interesting, though not recommended for a first run.
Or alternatively, you can get dominated by Morinth on the ship after the mission, and immediately die.
death by snu snu arguably the best way to go 😂
Wow. THIS is the Worst. Possible. Timeline! 😢 It really hurt.
Uh, how to import this saved game to ME3?? 😳
You did a lot better, nobody was there to witness my original experience "failures" Gg Basic
it's horrible from a gameplay perspective, and you literally cant import into me3 if shep dies, you could probably assume things for the galaxy dont go very well without shep
but purely from a story perspective its kind of neat seeing it be an actual suicide mission like you're told it will be all game, its cool and we love our friends and all and its definitely more enjoyable in me3, but practically everyone surviving kind of makes it seem like they were just being dramatic for nothing the whole time lmao
Lucky you upgraded everything and male shep sounds and look weird
He sounds like Batman
If you had this ending then why play 3? Everyone is dead. 😊
BC KAIDAN
Man, you can make some poor decisions.. Lol Dam😕
Thane dies it's well he was dying anyway
But he should die saving the salarian councilor
hiya kiddo, looks like a very well staged no loyalty pick wrong team members to show a total fail, it was very well done. Your ending was well planed with only team skills to guide you, I would follow your lead in a fight , you have real good tactical understanding , and you eat Whataburger well we wont get into fish tank stuff ;)
Why are you laughing? These are actually people dying. Don’t play the game if you are not going to take it seriously.
these are pixels
These characters are made up of one 1s and 0s. Be so for real right now 💀
@@basicwitgirl if you really feel that way, don’t play games or watch movies/tv shows. That is such a weak cop out thing to say. It shows you don’t immerse yourself in any type of storytelling, and it’s also a massive F you to the creators.
@CrashNTheBoys2002 I think you're reading into that a bit too much. Laughter isn't always "LOL SO FUNNY." It can come with shock, but anyway. I've watched her playthrough in its entirety, and she seems to be quite invested and loves these games and certain characters.
@@JustCrashit’s an unserious response to your unserious remark. I love the game and the narrative being told. I’ve laughed and cried and wept and squealed with joy. This is a reaction to an extreme ending that I didn’t get. Saying “don’t play games” bc I’m not sobbing over in a reaction video is cringe, my man.
