Hey everyone! A lot of people have been asking me to check out Legendary Edition trailers and videos and I already did. Here is the link: th-cam.com/video/0zO3eh0eac4/w-d-xo.html Also thank you for the views and support!
Mass Effect is the pinnacle of the RPG genre. It's a timeless gem, that will never be surpassed. If you are a gamer, this is a must play. Just like how the third game trailer says: "If you are not a fan, now's the time to start".
I'd just add a Caveat that the ending of Mass Effect 3 might be a let down, but otherwise yes. Cannot recommend this enough. In fact, the only Franchise I would recommend more is the Half Life franchise.
Named Characters who earned the N7 Designation: Commander Shepard David Anderson Kai Leng Lee Riley Alec Ryder Other characters whose job/proficiency designationa are know: Ashley Williams- B5 (Infantry) James Vega- N6
As someone said N7 is a designation for Systems Alliance Special forces but the reason it is often shown in the cinematics is because this is heavily associated with the main character (Shepard) even though he/she is not the only one with this designation. Very very few people wear N7 on their chest.
There are 4 Mass Effect games. Mass Effect Mass Effect 2 Mass Effect 3 Mass Effect Andromeda And a 5th one on the way. The Mass Effect Trilogy Legendary Edition is a remastered version of the first 3 games.
The Mass Effect series is such a great story… the way your choices that you made through the first 2 games matter in the 3rd game in such a way… characters, their viewpoints, their beliefs… it all derives from how you decide to portray the main character. You can be ruthless and with reckless abandon, or a paragon of justice and fairness. Your choice can determine whether or not your companions live or die… the stakes in each game go from high to higher, while still maintaining the plot in a coherent and cohesive narrative… it’s emotional, lots of highs and lows… this game trilogy truly is one of the greatest sci-fi stories ever created. You will enjoy it.
N7 is a vocational code in the Systems Alliance military (Earth and its colonies). The Systems Alliance assigns a letter to each vocational branch and a proficiency rating of 1-7 (7 being the highest) to each. N refers to special forces. N7 is thus the best of the Alliance military's special forces. Because of that prestige, an N7 soldier may wear the designation on their armour and uniform.
@NateTheGreat1992 Andromeda was the first Mass Effect game I had ever played. I had been into other games when ME1 came out and by the time ME3 came out I just didn't know what I was missing out on. A friend gifted Andromeda to me on Steam. I installed it but didn't play any of it for a couple of weeks. Once I tried it, I was hooked and had mentioned how I liked it to friends at work. They told me that I really needed to play ME legendary. I really didn't realize that I was missing out the best game ever created. I still like Andromeda but, Shep is a bad A beyond belief.
@@WarriorHumble24there are so many choices and decisions in mass effect trilogy. I've played it over a dozen times through the years and still find new things. The story is up there with the best in any medium. The characters actually grow to feel like real friends.
Been gamer for over 30 years and have played hundreds of different games from all genres. Mass Effect trilogy is by far the greatest I've ever played. Finished it so many times already and going to finish it so many more. I truly hope the new one is going to be atleast half the game the trilogy was, would be GOTY material.

The Song you Know and played in the Trailer of ME 3 called "Protectors of the Earth - Two Steps From Hell" They made the Song for the Mass Effect Series Andromeda is a Spin-Off Game. Mass Effect 4 is coming
N7 is also training program for the most elite space special forces operators, say not unlike French Foreign Legion, Delta, GROM, and Navy Seals combined, but in space. The letter and number signify the type of training and the tier or level of proficiency acquired.
There is an orchestra called two steps from hell. They've worked with two different composers. The song in the mass effect 2 trailer is heart of courage from one of their albums
The best game franchise for story IMO and I've been a gamer for a very long time. N7 is a special designation in the "Alliance Navy" aka the military of Earth and its colonies. N7 is the best of the best the Alliance has to offer. The main character in the trilogy, Commander Shepard, is ranked N7 and the character shown in the Andromeda trailer is also N7 but is not Shepard. Because of the significance of "N7", each year November 7th is "N7 Day" for fans and Bioware puts out little trailers and things. The Msss Effect Will Continue trailer came out on a N7 day. It's a new game that ties in both the trilogy and Andromeda together, it would seem. Andromeda is a spinoff that begins with ships leaving the Milky Way to colonize the Andromeda galaxy between the events of Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3.
Coming to this video a bit late, I'll just quote a comment I remember seeing on another Mass Effect YT video from years ago... "How to explain Mass Effect to the people you know: Mass Effect is an orgasm that is 100 hours long and only feels better and better the longer you continue." If you like RPG and sci-fi and you haven't played the original Mass Effect trilogy, please do. You won't regret it. The Legendary Edition released in 2021 contains all three games with improved graphics, and includes all the extensive DLC content. You'll remember the characters, the music and all sorts of other bits long after you finish playing. My sister pushed me into playing it over a decade ago now and it's become my all time favourite series of games. It's a work of art! Andromeda is a separate story in the same universe and is okay as a standalone game, but it pales into insignificance compared to the original trilogy.
there are currently 4 games set in the mass effect universe, the first three games are basically one big story split into 3 parts and the 4th game (andromeda) is a side story vaguely connected to the original 3 but with all new characters in a new galaxy and a very different vibe. the next mass effect may make andromeda's plot more relevant to the series but until it is given a proper title we wont know much more about it until its closer to release maybe in the next few years
Halo is a good point of comparison for the combat in the Mass Effect series, but it also has a lot more RPG elements like experience points, skill trees, quests, and branching dialogue. The protagonist of the main series is Commander Shepard, who can be male or female (player's choice when you create your character). Each game has a number of romance options, mostly but not exclusively opposite sex, and they're usually Shepard's squadmates or other subordinates (leadership ethics: whoops). There's always a quick R-rated nude scene with your chosen romantic partner shortly before each game's final mission, with soft sad piano music and an undercurrent of "we might not make it through tomorrow alive". Thanks to save game imports, each game has a bunch of choices (big and small) that affect the story as you play through the trilogy. Some of the biggest choices lead to major characters living or dying, including your squadmates, which can heavily affect the story in later games. Some of the bleakest playthroughs of ME3 come from losing people in earlier games. Your romantic choices, however, have *almost* no impact outside of the romance subplots themselves. Mass Effect: Andromeda is a side story. A bunch of civilian colonists leave the Milky Way galaxy on a sleeper ship during the events of ME2, about six months before the main-series villains (the "Reapers") invade at the start of ME3. It uses open world exploration for almost the entire game, which turned off a lot of people since the tiny bits of open-world design in the main trilogy were some of its least popular parts. Some people loved Andromeda, a lot of people hated it, and it bombed commercially but didn't really deserve the hate it got. The protagonist of ME:A is either Scott or Sara Ryder (player's choice), and Scott is the scruffy young guy shown in the ME:A trailers. Unlike in the main series, where Shepard is one person who can be any gender, the Ryder sibling you don't choose remains a story character. Despite the availability of armor with an N7 patch, the Ryder siblings are *not* N7s, and in fact have never been in the military (stolen valor: whoops)... but their father Alec was an N7 soldier when he was in the service, and they use that as an excuse for why Alec's armor is available to the siblings. (The original series uses the "N7" designation as a marketing thing, and it would have pissed off a lot of fans to not have the option. November 7th is "N7 Day", which is an unofficial holiday among fans, much like May 4th for Star Wars fans.) As with the main series, there are a number of romance options in Andromeda, mostly but not exclusively opposite sex. After criticism about the "sleeping with subordinates" stuff in the main series, many of the romance options are now support crew on Ryder's ship. Ryder is still their boss, but it's a tiny bit less sketchy I guess? 23:13 Krogans are the species you saw earlier at 7:04 -- he's the big guy ("Grunt") who blows up the giant creature (a "thresher maw") from inside its mouth and needs a shower afterward. They're known for their strength and tenacity in battle. A lot of players love Grunt and their other krogan squadmates because krogans are so durable in combat. Legendary Edition is a bundle, but it's also a remaster. A unified launcher, graphics improvements, and a few tweaks to make the games' interfaces a little more consistent and to make the savegame imports smoother. [Edit: oh yeah, they put all the DLC into the base game, too. Used to cost close to $100 to get all the DLC for the whole trilogy, and the DLCs contained a lot of the plot!] Better in almost every way... except that they removed the co-op multiplayer mode from Mass Effect 3. Last I heard the co-op servers are still up if you have the original game, but it's a ghost town and hard to form a full squad, and the difficulty is pretty punishing if you try to solo it. It also had a pay-to-play lootbox system that turned off a lot of players. The last trailer you saw was indeed a teaser for Mass Effect 4/5 (depending on if you count Andromeda as 4 or as a separate game). The hooded figure picking up a piece of Shepard's N7 armor was Liara, one of your squadmates and a fairly popular romance option in the trilogy.
Garrus was my guy! I was so glad we got a romance option for him in the second game, of all the members, he's been the most loyal no matter what kind of Shepard you play. If I could only ever play one game series ever, it's this one! Definitely a must play series!
The last trailer where it said "will continue" that was announced at 2020 game awards and no one saw it coming. Fans lost their minds seeing that teaser at the game awards after all this time.
Originally Mass Effect 3 had a multiplayer mode, but it was not the mains story, you just played like random maps, Call of Duty style vs. NPCs. It was actually required to grind out games in the multiplayer to get the good ending for the game, and this made a lot of us angry, especially as you had to KEEP grinding constantly as the "Galactic Readiness" that you increased through the multiplayer constantly decayed. However, the Galactic Readiness mechanic and the multiplayer were removed with the Legendary Edition (All three games and DLC, remastered) release.
fyi: andromeda initiative LAUNCH takes place during mass effect 2… and follows different characters. of course, you are in cryo sleep and wake up a lot later. judge it how ever you would like….
Mass Effect 3's (Not the bullshit complimation edition) multiplayer is still one of the best squad co-op PvE experiences out there. The servers are still hopping to this day. Mass Effect: Andromeda's multiplayer is insane and fun, but a different play style.
Dunno why this popped up but I am glad I watched it. If you start playing Mass Effect, play the legendary addition and it will change gaming life forever. There is a reason many people consider this to be the best game ever made. The emotional roller coaster and the brilliant storyline will take you on a journey. Just remember do a blind playthrough there are many surprises in the game. Have fun.
Andromeda is 600 years after the original trilogy. You play as Ryder, in another galaxy. The main trilogy is with Commander Shepard and the war against the Reapers
Mass Effect is a peak Gaming Series, i highly recommend checking it out when you have time on your hands again. It is SO worth it! Good luck for going to the military chief o7 Also N7 is the Logo of the Normandy Crew :D
While the games have fantastic music of their own, the music you were asking about is independent trailer music. Heart of Courage by Two Steps From Hell.
Good video, you should also consider reacting to the Legendary Edition trailer, that one in particular hits hard, best trailer in the franchise in my opinion. There's also the next Mass Effect game teaser that came out last year. Edit: To answer your question at the end yes, Mass Effect Andromeda is in the same universe & is set over six centuries after Mass Effect 3 in the Andromeda galaxy (the closest galaxy to our own) & you play as a different character, either as Sara Ryder or her twin brother Scott Ryder. Your job as Pathfinder is to successfully colonise the Andromeda galaxy & build a new home for Humanity (plus some other species that came along). Let's just say Andromeda is the black sheep of the Mass Effect family & is like marmite amongst the community, many fans hate it & some like myself love it. It had a rough launch to say the least which killed the idea of it being the next trilogy but BioWare did fix it before putting the franchise on ice for a few years. The next title is supposed to be a sequel to both the OG trilogy & Andromeda, it's already been confirmed via released artwork for the next game that BioWare is going to bridge the two galaxies, meaning that we'll probably be able to travel between both without having to take a six hundred year nap. It's also possible that they might find some way to bring Commander Shepard (the original main character) back for one last hurrah. For the best & complete Mass Effect experience I'd recommend picking up the Legendary Edition as it's all three OG games remastered plus all dlc & also give Andromeda a try (it's better then people give it credit for) that way you'll be ready for the next game whenever it comes out. Edit edit: Also congrats on the promotion. 👍
You should do a let's play for the Legendary Edition. You'll get a lot of views imo. HOWEVER, if you do, be prepared for spoilers and backseaters. The Mass Effect community is insufferable when it comes to first-time playthroughs.
you gotta check out gears of war next. It's not sci fi but its a damn good franchise and like Mass effect it's definitely among the best gaming franchises ever.
The original trilogy is great. So is Andromeda. If you play them, just don't think of it as part of the Mass Effect storyline. Consider it as a spin-off set in the same universe. Give it a chance. I love all 4.
Mass Effect is one of the best trilogies out there! the whole crew feel like a family. Why is there only Grunt and Thane is ME2 trailer? Wheres brother GARRUS!? Why they only showing romance option with Ashley? Wheres Tali, Miranda, Jack and Liara? You can also be paragon or renegate in the game. Pick what class you want or if you want to play as a woman (apparently voice acting is better) and as a woman romance the best Turian in the galaxy Garrus lol the ledgendary edition is 3 original games with upgraded graphics and some added extra missions. Its worth every penny. Andromeda is a separate game from the trilogy. And their villain is nowhere near as scary or intimidating as the reapers from original trilogy. That sound reapers make is something else. But the next ME is in the making. I hope they carry on with Sheps story!
The trailer for the Legendary Edition that I'm familiar with is this one, which wasn't included in what you watched here...Brings back the goosebumps every time I see it.😎 th-cam.com/video/n8i53TtQ6IQ/w-d-xo.html The one big thing that all of these trailers do not show you is the dialogue wheel. You have so many conversations in-between the action. Lots of talking in which you decide what to say next from a selection of different options. Including making lots of crucial decisions. From that you learn so much about the background and motivations of all the characters and factions in the game, not to mention learn about the history of what went on before the events in the game.
Andromeda does take place after the main trilogy so it is technically a continuation of the main story but considering andromeda performed so poorly majority of the fanbase just considers it to be a spinoff. It was also supposed to be the start of a new storyline but like i said, it performed poorly so it getting follow up games seems unlikely and it may just remain as a standalone spinoff.
Unfortunately.... Support and updates for Mass Effect: Andromeda ended within a year after its release... So in short... the game is released unfinished and buggy, and no bugfixes in the future... The story and idea was good though
If you are about to go down the mass effect rabbit hole brace yourself some of the fandom is extremely toxic and forget there is no cannon way to beat and play the game. Also there is extreme and in my opinion unnecessary hate for mass effect Andromeda. The fandom got so bad they bullied Bioware into not making anymore mass effect content. DLCs were cancled, production stoppage... That warning aside all 4 games are very very much worth a play-though. Bioware is currently making the 5th game and i am very worried that the toxic folks will try and kill it before its ever released.
@WarriorHumble24 as you asked about N7, and others have already filled you in on the in game rank, but maybe no one mentioned the real world "N7 day" holiday happens every year on "November 7th" you can see several of the trailers mention Nov 7th. It's the day traditionally bioware drops some mass effect trailers or art. This N7 day, people will be expecting more info and maybe another teaser for the 5th game.
@@WarriorHumble24 Meaning no disrespect, I don't agree with the poster. Now people use the word toxic for everything. The fadom is extremely passionate, as you've seen here. ME is my favorite video game (I count it as one game), and I feel nothing but love for my fellow ME fans. Yes, sometimes the difference in opinion can be felt and there is idiocy at times, but that's no different than most things that are important for a group. Anyway, ME is truly an incredible experience. I hope you get to live it at some point. And good luck in you future endeavors.

Oii everytime you talk about school it makes me feel old lol, don't know why they keep forcing Ashley as a romance on everyone when she was hardly chosen, plus Tali is the only correct romance for male shep. If no one has answered, N7 is the Alliance military special ops like Rangers, seals and MARSOC and AFSOC etc..
The mass effect trilogy is a masterpiece. Andromeda is just an insult to the original three. I would not bother with it. N7 is special forces for human space navy effectively.
Krogans are those big guys u keep seing the ones with humos on back and armoed heads thags a krogan their from a desert planet where even the plants eat people they have two hearts four lungs four balls and a humo that stores nutrients
Or.. "We fixed everything wrong with combat, but forgot to hire good script writers." lol Honestly, I kind of wish they would redo/polish it. It could have been much better. Still, looking forward to the next one.
skip the Mass effect Andromeda is bad (or do first!) . And do the Mass effect legendary edition (all DLCs is included ) is the best saga you will ever play
Andromeda was horrible Mass effect 1 2 3 4. N7 is the best program they have soldiers. Best gear best training. Just do yourself a favor and stay away from Andromeda God that was bad
If you got the urge to try Mass Effect trilogy, a kind advice - don't fight it:) All three games hold up pretty well, even ME1 (which was released in 2007 and it definitely shows). They're not perfect, no matter what others might say, but pros *heavily* outweigh cons; especially overarching storyline, soundtrack, VA and - it's heart and soul - your Normandy's crewmates. And sure, you can call it "RPG action shooter wrapped in space opera" but that's just boring. For me Mass Effect is the pinnacle of Power Fantasy. As a Commander Shepard you're a driving force leading Milky Way towards victory against annihiliating forces it hasn't seen since times immemorial, fostering galactic resistance, building alliances by healing millenia old grudges and romancing gorgeous space babes (or dudes ahah) on the way. All through sheer force of Shepard's will and your own decisions. So get hands on Legendary Edition marine, N7 needs you🫡 P.S. Andromeda is a spinoff, considered to be a black sheep in ME series. It was released in 2017 and pales in comparison in every aspect... except maybe shooting gameplay. Play it on your own volition
@@VladissimoTheMocker i think it has all the right to be a Mass Effect game and the next game is tying it back even more to the Trilogy. The Pathfinder Project was after all Liara’s contingency plan incase the Milky Way fell to the Reapers(which i believe it did).
@@thebk247 agree to disagree. On DNA level Andromeda is 'mid-to-bad' game without ip title. Slap Mass Effect on top of it? It gets progressively worse because it stands on titan's shoulders but falls short to reach past goddamn ear. It might not be worst offender like Rings of Power or Disney SW sludge pipeline but it doesn't change much - it failed, all dlc got scrapped, no sequel. Retroactively remove Andromeda from existence and absolutely nothing changes for ME4 (especially if they go Shepard route) and no superficial "lore connections" will change that

@NateTheGreat1992 It did, but it was more like Halo Firefight. Tackling the story missions as a co-op experience would have been interesting.
When I first met Tali in the first Mass Effect I was disappointed we couldn't get a romance path for her until Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3.
So, there is romance options in this game like Terminator Resistance. Guessing there is choices then to strengthen character relationships.

there are currently 4 games set in the mass effect universe, the first three games are basically one big story split into 3 parts and the 4th game (andromeda) is a side story vaguely connected to the original 3 but with all new characters in a new galaxy and a very different vibe. the next mass effect may make andromeda's plot more relevant to the series but until it is given a proper title we wont know much more about it until its closer to release maybe in the next few years
Halo is a good point of comparison for the combat in the Mass Effect series, but it also has a lot more RPG elements like experience points, skill trees, quests, and branching dialogue.
November 7th is "N7 Day", which is an unofficial holiday among fans, much like May 4th for Star Wars fans.)
As with the main series, there are a number of romance options in Andromeda, mostly but not exclusively opposite sex.
When I listen the base of Mass effect 3 I cry immediately.
N7 is also known for N7 Day on November 7th
Mass Effect is the game that made me fall in love with RPG in space.
The last trailer where it said "will continue" that was announced at 2020 game awards and no one saw it coming. Fans lost their minds seeing that teaser at the game awards after all this time.
its been 4 years already? jeez...
Have fun.
It wasn't all of the trailers, there have been a few more since the Mass Effect 5 trailer.
Andromeda is 600 years after the original trilogy. You play as Ryder, in another galaxy.
The main trilogy is with Commander Shepard and the war against the Reapers
Yes mass effect 4 is curently in development
Mass Effect is a peak Gaming Series, i highly recommend checking it out when you have time on your hands again. It is SO worth it!
Good luck for going to the military chief o7
Also N7 is the Logo of the Normandy Crew :D
While the games have fantastic music of their own, the music you were asking about is independent trailer music. Heart of Courage by Two Steps From Hell.
N7 is a special alliance military rank. Not many could have it, basically anyone with official N7 is some of kind true Giga Chad.
If your a baddie and your facing off against an N7 don’t expect to live long lol
Tali best girl
N7 is the 7th teir of special forces training in the alliance navy marines The n programs are like deep space special forces training
You should watch dlc's trailers as well. Those are worth checking 😁.
Thank you for the info and words for my promotion! Appreciate it! 🙏
agree so much andromeda is not a bad game its actually pretty good
The N7 program is similar to the Spartan program of Halo
Your reasoning for not playing is relatable asf. We don’t got time to play every game in the world lol
Legendary edition is the remaster of the original trilogy btw.
I love all 4.
so N7 is bacially human special forces in the mass effect universe
N7 is the Alliance (humanity) best Spec Ops
I hope they carry on with Sheps story!
one hell of an emotional ride, this trilogy! love these characters, almost a second family to me
Where is the "i'm only human after all"?
a 5th one to be precise. many ppl hated andromeda, i kinda enjoyed it .
The trailer for the Legendary Edition that I'm familiar with is this one, which wasn't included in what you watched here...Brings back the goosebumps every time I see it.😎
th-cam.com/video/n8i53TtQ6IQ/w-d-xo.html
The one big thing that all of these trailers do not show you is the dialogue wheel.
Watching the third trailer basically spoils the first two games for you so well done there I guess…?
I'll keep that in mind
And good luck in you future endeavors.
so that last trailer doesnt actually make sense out of context. Once you've play the main trilogy it will have much more significance
Slight like star wars exeot its mikitery proper militery your a marine of the earth alliance navy rank commander And the game usses alot of militery jargon like a character in third game without any exlinatiom casualy usses fubar had look it up when played it as a kid
I mean as a romance in the trailers
The mass effect trilogy is a masterpiece. Andromeda is just an insult to the original three. I would not bother with it. N7 is special forces for human space navy effectively.
All the halo games combined don't compare to the Mass Effect games.
Krogans are those big guys u keep seing the ones with humos on back and armoed heads thags a krogan their from a desert planet where even the plants eat people they have two hearts four lungs four balls and a humo that stores nutrients
Mass Effect 1-3: "Only one specific person can save us."
Mass Effect Andromeda: "That guy's dead. Here's Ryder. 🤞"
Or.. "We fixed everything wrong with combat, but forgot to hire good script writers." lol Honestly, I kind of wish they would redo/polish it. It could have been much better. Still, looking forward to the next one.
Metro trailers and EFT currently being watched and edited. 👍
I just hope that with Bioware’s current track record and after the horrible Dragon Age trailer that they don’t ruin the next Mass Effect
skip the Mass effect Andromeda is bad (or do first!) .
So get hands on Legendary Edition marine, N7 needs you🫡
P.S. Andromeda is a spinoff, considered to be a black sheep in ME series. It was released in 2017 and pales in comparison in every aspect... except maybe shooting gameplay. Play it on your own volition
Andromeda definitely has best combat and crafting. It’s far from the the trilogy but imo it is still a good game
@@thebk247 exactly. Decent game that has barely any rights to have "Mass Effect" in its name
