This is amazing. I've been playing Prince of Persia and the various level sets from Popuw for years and I didn't know about some of these little time savers. I thought around 30min was the best I could do. Clearly I have further to go haha. Like the way tkhira handled the Skeleton in Level 3. Brilliant.
Well done! I did the same in POP for DOS, got a time of 17 minutes (didn't record it though). I didn't use the bug in level 7, I would consider that cheating. Do you realize you can skip the mouse in level 8?

First of all this is the PC9801. But... I really don't think that this was acutally played at this speed. Especially since the video is one second under 10 minutes. I'm not saying he didn't play it sped up.. but not THIS fast. We all know about TH-cams 10 minute limit so wouldn't it make more sense that it was sped up to exactly the speed it needed to be so it would be until 10 minutes so that he could upload it? I'm just saying.. what are the chances of finishing it in 9:59..

Could you tell me how to walk past the guard in level 1? It seems not possible in the PC version. Or is it also extremely hard on your platform? What platform are you playing on? Also, there is a trick in level 12 which could save you about 3 screens.

Nice job, I've only played it on the Sands of time copy and there wasn't a second vizier fight mayeb I did soemthing different since i killed him downstairs not upstairs. but nice your control is impressive

Thats a bug of the game. I used to bypass the first guy too to save time(used a different method though)and misteriously you appear with sword on level 2. So that is not a cheat, but i bet this guy used some :P
From the way you played this game, I think the title should rename to "Ninja of Persia". I mean come on, all of the movement is too precise that you made the prince looks like ninja or something..
i'm sorry but i HIGHLY doubt u played with this speed. those traps are WAY too fast for anyone, and the timer would be WAY off. with that speed, the timer should be counting down just as fast.....
well technically its no cheating, but the PC9801 version has adjustable game speed (needed cause newer PC9801 were dramatically faster than the old 5 Mhz 8086 model), so the player abused it

When you hit him you hurt yourself (since he's your mirror image)...so the only other alternative was that...took me forever to figure that out myself...granted I was 12 when I played this...lol

Yes, the princess's pet mouse leaves her side when the prince gets stuck and open the gate for him. I too wondered how a mouse would be able to move a heavy slab of stone.

this game looks so depressing, sad and dumb... But that's because of weird textures. I mean, I play on PC and I tried NES texture pack once, not going to do it again, I'll keep with the default ones, or replacing blue dungeons with sand dungeons also looks pretty well, bright and not hard on eyes

this wouldn't work on PC, however the first lvl can be done without sword (you will automaticaly have it in the next lvl surprisingly)

it seems a little faster compared to the version i always played to...anyway he's a monster!!!
