It’s crazy how they build Acropolis in a decade plus some years and now the restitution lasts more than 30 - 40 years. And it will continue for at least as many more.

Α small correction to your video. The sounds in the National garden are not produced by locusts. Locusts are a physical menace to plants and this garden would not exist if these were locusts. These are cicadas that rub one feet of theirs to their wings and they make that sound.

Thanks for another enjoyable vid. Abbie and Jeff, you guys should consider writing some kind of a comedy show or for a stand-up comedian...LOL

Wow, I admire your fortitude in going around those ruins in such heat. I would never go to that part of Europe in August. You're probably back in England by now so you will know that our heatwave is over - thank goodness. You probably don't need to know this but that bird you saw was a Hoopoe, (pronounced "who poo") a summer migrant. I enjoyed you video.

That weather is very normal for California so we’re used to it. From July-September it isn’t uncommon for us to have stretches of multiple weeks of super high temperatures - fire season 😬

Great video guys. Hot isn't it in Athens?

We couldn’t escape the heat! When we left England it was hot, when we were in Greece it was hot, and then we came back to England it was hot again. Then we went to Italy-you guessed it HOT-we’re back in England and I’m so glad it’s finally back to not being hot 🙌

Lovely videos. you'll be able to look back on, when you retune home.
Hopefully with many found memories of your time visiting European 😊

@@clowderlibrary I would but I'm worried that there will be a cat shortage, your video vividly displays the terrible situation there, where you can walk for literally 35 seconds without seeing a cat. How on earth has it got this bad?

So glad as US citizen you mentioned Emperor Hadrian, the man who successfully built walls throughout the Roman Empire. Even in Britain Hadrian was at it, dividing England from Scotland with his wall [Hadrian Wall] and maybe if you venture into the north of England you can walk the wall. Don't worry I'm not going to compare your ex-president's wall building attempts, as there's no comparison.
The British museum does a good line in stolen [sorry, bought from the Turks] Acropolis' Parthenon pediment frieze and one caryatid from the Erechtheion.
I do hope you stay in England, surely our useless politicians must make you feel at home. If not England a member of the E.U., Ireland would be a good choice as they speak English and you could apply for citizenship, as you must have Irish root, everyone in the U.S. apparently has Irish roots, I bet even your cat has Irish roots.

The US definitely has a lot of Irish immigrants. I have German roots-I have a little bit of English too but I’m like 45% German. The other 50% is Filipino 😊

@@clowderlibrary I think claiming German citizenship goes as far back as great grand parents.
