Yes! I was struggling with my relationship with my sister and this statement set me free. When I reset my expectations I stopped being frustrated and disappointed.
Watching her show helped repair my relationship with my dad...getting to know his story. I found out things about him that I never knew. His upbringing, why he did the things he did. It helped me to let go of the hurt and anger I had towards him.

That is good Tierney... It would be wise for anyone with issues with a parent put self aside and understand that person. Many ppl totally forget that their parent(s) could have had the same or worse upbringing. Many ppl get angry with their father because of what the angry, bitter mother tells them. Many times even after the father explains his side of the story, the children hold onto the lies their mother told them even after the truth has been revealed. Let go and let God!!! Otherwise, you will be in hell right along with your lying mama! God cannot help you if you have a heart full of hatred that you refuse to get rid of.
