10/10 quality video I hope youtube gives you that recommended boost because this deserves way more than 5k views. Thanks for your help!

I just cleaned the inside of a 27 year old dryer that saw 27 years of use that had never been cleaned. I also cleaned the metal duct tube behind it that had never been cleaned in 25 years. It was jam packed with old lint in there, im amazed a fire never started

Yes, GREAT video. I do recommend that ALL of the crimped ends of pipe/connectors/elbows be pointed out of the house (NOT toward the dryer). And although you didn't mention it, NEVER use screws to hold pieces together. The reason for both is to avoid anything that can catch lint (which inevitable will build up over time).

That looks like some great foil tape. Taking back the cheap ones I have the sticky side comes off on the outside.

Very important to check and clean the whole length of the dryer duct ..... Might save your house from burning down one day.....

This is very true. I recommend cleaning once a year minimum. Having an all metal solution is great, but it’s no substitute for yearly cleaning.

I always wondered how it could get bad enough for a fire…but I’ve never had to clean out a 14’ run. All of my dryers have been 3’ from the exterior wall 😂

I do like the ridged vent hose, however when there is a stackable washer dryer unit in a tight closet or between cabinets the ridged loses appeal.

Our house has a very thick pipe that runs to the roof, straight up. At the bottom there is no vent adapter. It dumps everything into the wall from the dryer so we tore out the wall. There is no space detween the sheet rock to mount a knuckle to install anything. So we are stuck with a pipe nothing fits and no room to work
