@@nikc101 when the fusion Ritual Beast Ulti-Apellio attacks it is unaffected by card affects. The player did not realize at the time that this effect included their own card effects, but it does. So when Ulti-Apellio attacked with a boosted attack from Spiritual Beast Apellio, its attack became its original attack because of the effect

@@nikc101 When it attacks, it becomes unaffected by all other card effects until the end of the damage step. This is really useful against traps like Drowning or Wall of Disruption but also means it even loses attack boosts from the player who summoned it when it attacks.

Apelio used 2 times causing all Ritual Beast to gain 500 ATK and 500 DEF until the end of the turn
But as you know the Fusion doesn't affected by any other card effects when it attacks so the addition of ATK from Apelio is literally cancelled out from the Fusion
