Also, 12:56 It is not a bug, jumping on any enemy freezes them which then allows you to pick them up and chuck them just like it Wario World.

To be honest, this is how super mario 64 looked to all of us when we first played it

It might be because the person who made the game took sound bits from the mario party games so it can sound as original and close to old school as possible
Why not take the sm64ds sounds and make them more clean and soft because like the ds is making them kinda bad or weird idk
@@naboli698 Because its Render 96. It's meant to be based on the materials fron the time. Luigi had a different voice actor during the N64 era. Same with Wario.

Wario's jump is not bugged. The creators of R96 intentionally made it so that his jump stuns the enemy. Then, you have to pick the enemy up and throw it. This is how he played in the Wario Land games as well, which the creators of R96 stated was the inspiration for Wario's moveset
Wario was originally portrayed as german in the early n64 games like Mario Party 1 and 2. (Due to the original voice actor being german himself) Remember that voice clip that a lot of people think is, "Doh I Missed!"
What Wario is actually saying is "So ein mist!" which is a literal German translation of "Oh Crap!" (I'm serious)

Here's a little something to know about Wario: when jumping on certain enemies like goombas, they would get stunned and spin around, and you can do as Wario is you can pick up the stunned enemy, spin them around, and make them drop some coins, kinda like in some of the Wario Land games.

Luigi did had a Promotional art model, a lot of characters had one, it wasn’t only for Mario 64, but for other games like Mario Party.

Luigi's voice is still Charles Martinet, it's just Luigi's voice during the n64 era, before Charles settled on a certain way to voice act for Luigi, before luigi's established personality. Same goes for Wario. This was one of Wario voices during the n64 era, before Martine took on Wario permanently and before he was changed to being Italian.

It looked this good to me as a kid :P. I remember being blown away. I had to wait like a week to play it because I got in trouble at school while my friend got to enjoy it. It was the longest week of my life. Felt like years lmao.
I was there for the release of Super Mario 64, never owned or completed it but casually played some and till this day I'm still shocked over levels I've never seen before.. seriously how big is this game? :O

It feels way bigger than it is, it's actually pretty impressive. There are only 15 normal stages, not including Bowser, cap switch and secret levels. Even with those included there's under 30 of them!

It really reminds me of playing as Luigi in Super Mario 63 when you play with Luigi in this game. I don’t know why, it just gives me a Super Mario 63 vibe to it.
Also, am I the only one who noticed that when the characters pick up one of the caps, the character’s head next to the life counter has changed to have the same power-up as the actual character you play as. That is very cool in my opinion.

Render96 has to be one of my favorite SM64 mods, it’s very fluid, and well WEUGI!
When you jump on an enemy as Wario, them not dying is a part of his moveset. Just run into them with the shoulder tackle or spin them or throw them.
I wonder if Luigi and Wario acted differently with the caps or swimming

Actually, mini Chilly Bullies were unused enemies in the original Super Mario 64, and unused enemies were programmed into this version as stated in the previous episode.
Bathaniel is a speedrunner and you never knew that until seeing what he can do today
You can get 100 coins quicker with Wario,stun an enemy and spin them around like how would you do to bowser, they'll drop coins

wario is german because wario used to be german. He said german phrases in the old Mario party's and Mario tennis. the lose phrase often misheard as "d'oh I missed" is actually the german phrase "so ein mist" meaning "what a load of garbage" speaking of Mario party, It seems like they used the promo art and voices for luigi and warios designs, which is pretty cool and I love the attention to detail

The one thing I wish you had shown off at the end is the wide penguin when you go back to race the penguin in CCM after collecting 120 stars. It already looked like a widescreen ratio so would have been cool to see it in wide screen

Not sure if Nathaniel already knows this or not. But if you look closely at the skybox/background of Wet Dry World. You'll notice that it is actually a REAL image of a sunken city underwater. It is perhaps the most interesting skybox textures in this entire game and Wet Dry World is honestly, one of the most interesting levels in Mario 64 in terms of "mystery". Specifically the area where all of the red coins are. The whole area is definitely supposed to resemble a small village that is now lost and forgotten. And what I find very interesting about the buildings in the area is that all of them have the same doors used in Peach's Castle and I would really like to see a rom hack that basically adds some interiors for them.

After seeing the gorgeous recreations of the paintings in this rom hack I really wish Nintendo released posters or something like that based off of the paintings in that pastel art style for mario's 35th anniversary

The chill bullies aren't the ones from DS, those were remodeled to look more crystaline, as if carved as an ice scupture, rather than the marbley texture in render96.
Also, the ground texture in TTM was wood shavings all this time? Almost a weirder revalation then the Whomps Fortress dirt being gooey
