      Any suggestions for the tiny knots that the coily hair strands get that break off and hinder hair growth? I can't seem to eliminate them

      Ruwa Hilliard I heard you can do either one.i would wash first because the shampoo would probably remove all the moisture from the hot oil treatment

    African American women are much more clever with hair product applications. A tipped bottle, eye dropper or even a syringe makes a carrier/essential oil infusion so much easier to apply on the scalp. I've learned quite a lot from watching African American hair care tutorials that help my hair. BTW: I'm white with curly, easy to frizz, low porous hair so indirect heat is my hair's best friend but I have to be careful with product build up and wash more frequently with Candu "Free" shampoo esp since I entered the menopause phase of my life & my hair needs more TLC. I really appreciate the help!

    Just tried this today and HUNNY!!! My hair loved it!! I used Africa's Best oil and my DIY deep conditioner. Then sealed it with more oil just like you said. I also used a bonnet dryer on warm for about 45 minutes. My hair is super moisturized!! I also do the LCO method since my hair is low porosity.

I’m just curious if maybe I have some already that may work. I know this would give it the BEST juicy look like yours is hehe but maybe I have a deep conditioner already and if you are just using that kind because it’s your preference than it may save me some money if able to use a kind I have. If that works for you then that’s great & I think I’ll have totry this at home soon but deep conditioners are specifically for clean hair to help solve problems like dry hair, breakage, frizz, damage and things like that so the oil is somewhat stopping the deep conditioner from penetrating the hair shaft.

    My wash day routine is the same as MissTranae below. Every Sunday I wash, hot oil treatment (cover hair with cap for 10 ...sometimes 15 minutes), deep condition with ors hair mayonnaise (,cover hair with a cap...10 to 15 minutes), leave in conditioner, then air dry. I never use heat.
    I moisturize with jbco and blue magic hair grease every morning before work.
    Great video. Did you big chop or transition? Do you get very much negative feedback wearing your natural hair?
    I've actually had a couple of long time Male friends tell me that they don't like natural hair.
    But I'm still wearing it with confidence. It's been 12 weeks since I let my barber shave my hair off and I now have a tea that I've dyed ginger blonde.
    We have to love our hair....our natural hair.
    Love the way you take care of yours. With care.

    This is what I do and I use Alma oil and olive and a few drops of pepper oil for me tahtd what I like and my hair becomes extremely soft😭😭feels like I could sleep in there I wouldn't blame a bird for sitting in my hair after that cause woow😩😭
    But I might try what you doing cause it seems like it's doing the most 🤔❤️

    Do you think it makes a difference if I mix the deep conditioner and warmed oil in a bowl and just apply the concoction one time?

    A lot missed
    How long did the oils last in hair?
    Did she rinse it out before applying deep conditioner?
    Did she wash out all of it at the end?
    so sorry and thank you to whoever answers

      You can leave the treatment in as long as you like. Then rinse with warm water before you put your styling products in your hair.

    Great video! I was looking for oil treatments when I came across your video. Thanks I'll definitely try your combo. I read in one the comments below, that you wash your hair once a month. How do you maintain your hair the rest of the time. I'm so used to once-a-week-hair-wash-day that I wouldn't know what to do with my hair if I only wash once a month. Please help a sister out 😀
    P.S I just subscribed to your channel 😉

    Can someone pls explain the difference between doing the hot oil treatment on dirty hair and washed hair? Doesn't water repel water? I'm confused

    • @nicolescottwilliams2602
      @nicolescottwilliams2602 5 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      I think that it's better on clean hair because the hair follicles will open and observe the nutrients and you donot need your follicles observing dirt,right?

    Hello this is the first video I watched from you and i really loved it! new subbie! I`m definitely going to try the combination with the oil and deep conditioning treatment. I have a question I have heat/chemical damaged hair can i use the hooded dryer? Because it`s still heat and I don`t use any type of heat any more. Before i had damaged hair i used the hooded dryer always with the deep conditioning treatment. I kinda feel like I`m missing out on the hooded dryer because it really used to work. My journey to healty and naturel hair is going great!

      @shantinamonque  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi J St Jago.... great question... yes you can use heat... just put a plastic cap on... or if you are trying to dry your hair... use warm cool air to dry... and thank you for subbing... if you have any video suggestions... please let me know... have awesome blessed day... :)
