Questions??? 1) Do you have to wash the oils out? Can you leave it in for the week? 2) can you use one of those heating caps in place of over night? 3) can this be done every week with 4c hair?
I definitely recommend washing it out within an hour and not going to bed overnight with it. I think doing this once a month helps but not every week! 💕
@@StarringLia oh and if you ever wanted to try my fav custard styling gel, Uncle Funkys Daughter is having a 50%off flash sale and it’s their curl stimulator that is just everything! It is like the custard that gives moisture and hold. They even have their sample packs on sale too!
I sometimes have lots of dandruff, too. I try to drink more water and eat more fruits for hydration. I also make sure I deep condition and sit under the dryer to retain the moisture on wash days. I have found that putting oil to the scalp actually makes it worse which is why I always wash out the hot oil treatment when I do it. Leaving the oil on the scalp keeps the scalp from getting air! Also, shampoos with rosemary mint really, really helps! I hope these tips help! 💕
I typically eyeball how much I pour in. I do use more grapeseed oil, avocado oil, sweet almond oil, and Jamaican black castor oil because they are carrier oils. This means that it helps the essential oils like peppermint mix better so that it is not too strong for the scalp. So, typically, I use less drops of the stronger oils such as essential oils. I hope this helps! 💕
I use shampoo and conditioner! I like Miche, Mielle Organics, and Design Essentials for shampoo and conditioners! I can get away with different brands for oils. 💕
Hi there I gotta learn as much as I can, my daughter is mixed so sometimes I'm so stuck with understanding things. Did you apply this oil, then wash it with shampoo? Then conditioner? Hair is so dry after this, so what can be applied to scalp to keep it moisturised and healthy after the wash? Thankyou
Hello, yes. I applied the oil, washed it with shampoo, and then used a deep conditioner. You don’t necessarily have to apply anything to the scalp, but I would follow up with any natural hair cream to moisturize the hair before styling. I hope this helps. If you have more questions, let me know! 💕
@StarringLia thanks 😊 finally.i used to think my hair is soft before I know my hair.now I realize it soft when it wet,but when it dry coarse and sometimes my shed hair look like wiry.am worry I want to fix my hair and come across your channel
I heated it up in the microwave. However, there are other ways people have suggested heating it up so that the oil maintains its properties, such as setting the bottle of oil in boiling hot water. 💕
Its not to be done like that at all for a hot oil treatment!! After you wash your hair you simply apply the warm oil in your scalp and message it in the scalp and hair its being easy too do..
Might give my mom a treatment cuz I love her. She needs a break
That will be so nice!! 💕
Outside of the oils, this is exactly how I do mine and it never fails me. I even sleep with the oil in my hair sometimes 🫣😆
I have done that in the past too! 💕

@@StarringLia I used to get a hot oil treatment done once every two weeks, and bayybee 😅 my hair has been thriving!!!
That is good! What oils do you usually use?
I like how you say OIL... awesome video!
🤣🤣🤣 thank you!
Thank you Lia for another great tutorial video, very simple & informative. Looking forward to the next one.
Thank you so much!! I’m so glad they were helpful! 💕
I can’t wait for the follow up video!! That hair gonna be bouncy!
It was!!! 💕

My son has dandruff issues bad n I really need to learn how to do his oil treatments at least every other week I wash it don’t work

So for confirmation, this is something i need to do BEFORE conditioning and shampooing???
Yes, BEFORE! 💕
@@StarringLia Ohhhh ok. I'm so glad I asked. I always thought it was the other way around. Lol. Thank you so much! 🙏
No problem! 💕
How long should l wait after a heat oil treatment before l plait
I wash my hair afterwards and then style the hair with plaits, twists, etc! 💕
Thank you for this!! Is there a specific ratio you stick to with the oils, or do you just fill the bottle with equal parts of each kind?

Riight... I love how she say it. I thought I was the only one that noticed that.❤
is it ok for me to use the cooled down oil i used from the hot oil treatment in the next few days?
Yes, I have done this before! 💕
How/ when do you heat the oil?
I don’t heat the oil for this mixture. I just sit under the dryer when it’s applied. 💕
What I’ve seen people do and what I do sometimes as well is letting the bottle sit in a bowl of very hot water
Yup! Either method works! 💕
@@StarringLiaso don’t actually heat the oil like in the microwave or stove top?
@@StarringLiahow long do you sit under the dryer
Do you do this on clean hair or dirty hair
Dirty hair!
When do you use the black castor oil since it's one of the ingredients?
Only for this hot oil treatment. I haven’t been using a lot of oils on my hair lately. 💕
how long did you leave the oil in your hair
I cannot remember exactly, but I typically only leave it in for 20 minutes! 💕
@@StarringLia wht 'll hppn 2my hair if I hppn 2 nt wash out d oil.
It could break. Some of the essentials oils are very strong!
When you wash it out do you use Shampoo and Conditioner or just Conditioner?? And what brands do you recommend?? I typically use the Argan Oil brand.
I use shampoo and conditioner! I like Miche, Mielle Organics, and Design Essentials for shampoo and conditioners! I can get away with different brands for oils. 💕
Awww you are so cute 🤩🤩🤩
Thank youuu!! 💕
Very nice. ❤
Thank you! 💕

You're doing great. I know you're a good parent ❤️❤️
how often do you do this? :)
Only a few times a year! 💕
This is my daughter hair I don’t even be wanting to deal with it!
Lol sometimes I don’t even want to mess with my own either! 💕
Great video
Thank you! 💕
How often do you wash your hair a month
I typically wash it every week! If I have a protective style, I will wash it after 2 weeks! 💕
After all that you wash it out!?!
Yes! It’s not great to leave these oils in overnight or for days at a time. 💕
What if i don't have a bottle???😢😢😢
You can dip your hair in a bowl while it’s in sections!
Please do have coarse hair. Because I have that why I want to try hot oil treatment
When it is dry, it is very coarse!
@StarringLia thanks 😊 finally.i used to think my hair is soft before I know my hair.now I realize it soft when it wet,but when it dry coarse and sometimes my shed hair look like wiry.am worry I want to fix my hair and come across your channel
What's the name of the song?
I’m not too sure. All music comes from epidemic sound!
Can you blow dry hair while doing the treatment?
I would only hold the blow dryer up over the head when covered with a plastic cap. I would not blow dry as if doing a blow out! 💕
So what about it makes it a hot oil treatment. I didn’t see where the oils were heated up. That’s how I use to do mine. This is just an oil treatment?
I heated it up in the microwave. However, there are other ways people have suggested heating it up so that the oil maintains its properties, such as setting the bottle of oil in boiling hot water. 💕
