Love Lebkuchen! I grew up with it as a Christmas treat. The “ch” in Lebkuchen is said in the back of the throat, but to make it easier to say and close to how it should be said, just pronounce the “ch” like a “k” sound.
I use a desk top file organizer to hold my rulers. The largest ones go to the back, triangles & medium in the front, &the pencil holder space holds the 2" & 2 1/2" rulers.
The String Bean border is perfect. Black binding will finish it well. I need to try the Chunky Plus Sign quilt. The Oh My Stars by everyone was great to see. Thank you!

Imo, the best storage tip is, don't buy stuff. You don't need a 4" sq. ruler and a 6", and an 8", and a 10". If you have a 6x24" you can do all that cuttung and then some. Your 6x24 will have most the angles to save you from having every size of triangle ruler. Specialty rulers or templates being the exception.
Love, love the chunky quilt! I am fortunate to have a closet with a blank wall.i hang those rulers with holes on command hooks. Also on the wall next to the cutting table on a command hook I hang the couple I use all the time!
My husband put a large pegboard on the wall. I hang my most used rulers there, right above my cutting table. My smaller rulers are in a basket hanging on the pegboard

My rulers are in a very inexpensive pliers storage rack that came from a discount tools store. I keep it on top of a shelf, in plain view so I don’t forget what I have!

My best friend's husband made her and ME ruler holders for those smaller specialty ones and the larger ones are on a peg board on my wall next to my cutting table.
Hi Pat! Oh my, those Oh My Stars quilts!!! Such a great variety & ideas 😊 I can't tell you how excited I am that the Lebkuchen will be available again!! As I said before, I was able to attend Nurnberg High School (as Americans spelled it) my sophomore year in Hight School!! So of course I HAD to order that tin 💗💗 I finished my row 5 of my String Beans yesterday & sewed it on! I love how it turned out. I opted for only 20 blocks as that's large enough for an adult. I don't have big yardage of anything that would match for the backing, so darn I will have to buy something else 🤣 I forgot to say, I Love the green you picked for the borders!!

For ruler storage, I have a thick 10 by 18 inch piece of wood that has been routered out with parallel grooves slightly thicker than the rulers. My most used rulers can be stored vertically on edge in the grooves. My dad made it for me years ago and I love it! Anything small gets stored in a custom sized zipper pouch I made.
Are the card boxes big enough to put our paper patterns in, like a recipe box? I think the next quilt i make will be your, "Oh My Stars" thanks for all you do. I really appreciate everything you do for us.
I agree that the off set chunky star quilt is great! When I cked out the pattern at FQS I first didnt like it until I saw your off set. Thanks for showing us different ways to see things.

I don’t have a final storage solution but I did organize my rulers a couple years ago. I didn’t know what I had or where to look for them. I put them in a file folder with any instructions and filed them alphabetically. I used a letter/envelope (actually several) stand to organize so far. I’m thinking of finding Some small file storage bins but just haven’t done that. It’s been very helpful. StoreFound I had some multiples 🤣 I store my larger ones in a ruler stand. Ones I frequently use I hand on “S” clips on my cart.
I love your String Bean border & think a black binding will be great! I just finished my daily blocks using you quarter log cabin block and a batik jelly roll I had bought. Now, I need to make an Oh My Stars. Love that Quilt Revue! Thank you
Thanks for all the ruler storage ideas. I basically have them in about 3 spots. I have a office supply rack that holds some, a few small ones under the edge of my sewing machine and the main ones I use all the time, I keep either in my sewing table or a stand right behind me. It works for me so I guess that is all that matters. I loved seeing all the different color combos and fabrics in the Oh My Stars quilts. Wonderful. I always get so many ideas. Thanks a bunch!!

i wish i had a big scrap inventory, i am going to make the string bean....currently raising a puppy so am not sewing, at all since December😪but looking forward to getting back to it...what you have behind you reminds me of a Kaffe Fassett quilt design, love the intensity of color you've selected, it's fabulous !
My husband put long nails on the side of my cutting table, and several rulers can fit on each nail.

The lebkuchen are delicious, got hooked on them in Germany, still make them at Christmas.
I use a a desk file holder for my most used.Others are stowed in bag stacked in book case. Chunky plus sign quilt came out fabulous!!
Pat have you tried a 1.5 strip of your black polka-dot material around the out side then the green strip ? I think the black would frame it and stop the eye and your other would make it pop. Just a thought.

I have a peg board I store some smaller rulers snd an clear acrylic magazine holder attached to wall for larger longer rulers seems to work for me 😉

My rulers are hanging on one of my pegboards.
I have any ikea board for my scissors.

Your rulers are stored like mine ...all over the place. Lol. I have way too many and unfortunately some are still in their packaging.
