OMG, Pat, you amaze me! You have such an eye for "collecting" fabrics. Pulling fabrics to put together, is something I SEW struggle with! My brain cannot get past putting stripes with dots with waves and on and on, etc., etc.!!! I just get overwhelmed and my brain goes into scrambled egg mode!!! LOL I think you Neighborhood is going to be very cute and welcoming!!!

I have had all of my pieces cut since January. I am sew excited for "Be My Neighbor". I have wanted to make this quilt since it first came out.
Where did you get all of them?
PT, you are amazing at motivating me to do things. I had thought I didn’t have time for Won’t you be my Neighbor because we have a nephew with a baby coming and a step granddaughter graduating. But - I think I’m going to have to do this! Love it. I need to get the background fabric and start pulling some fabrics for the houses. Oh the joy!

I finally got to start my Joyful Journey cross stitch! The lighting in the condo we’re staying in has poor. We went to my sons home yesterday and I sat on his porch where it was sunny and bright, and I could see we’ll to do the cross stitch. Can’t wait to take care of my cataracts when I get home!!
Saffron is the stigma and styles of the crocus flower, and is a vivid orange-red when harvested. It turns yellow when heat is applied. It's a very magical process to watch!

I have decided to make the “Be My Neighbor” quilt. I am going to use the fabrics I have left from all the quilts I have made. I will use one constant fabric, like you used on the roofs of your quilt, in each block. I will send you a picture of the quilt when it is finished. it may be awhile 😁

I love the coffee panel just the way it us. I asked my daughter to try to find one for me and she said she did. Haven't gotten it yet tho. My question is...how do u do all the different quilts that u do? Do u cook for hubby, fo u have a housekeeper? Not trying to be nosy but with all u do and yr videos I don't know how u find the time. Oh and yr stitcher too. I'm retired and I can't find that much time. Thank God I don't have a man to look after. The poor thing would starve! Lol. Please respond on yr video. Bless u.🥰🥴
Virginia I'm a business There is NO housekeeper, NO Staff. Just me and my husband running the business. We both clean, we both cook, we both do household duties, like any couple.
I had copied several of the patterns for Be My Neighbor and worked on the first block using scraps. I just wasn't happy with it having thought of using Christmas themed fabrics originally. After seeing your video about how to make your fabric choices, I made the decision to go back to the Christmas fabrics. I sorted by color and it made so much difference to me, everything fell into place. I made the first block and am extremely happy with my results. I guess the old saying "go with your first choice" makes a lot of sense.
On block one of Be My Neighbor, the piece between the chimneys, I had to change the measurement to 3 3/4 x 3 3/4. the 4" was too big, my chimney's didn't line up with the side of the roof. My tree is too short and not the right width. But my house measures the correct size. Hmmm, wonder what I did wrong with my tree.
For some reason I couldn't down load neighbor block yesterday or today. Is anyone else having the same problem?
