I recently discovered your channel and I wanted to compliment you both for seeing the light before it was too late. I was never a JW( thank goodness), but I recently “encountered” one with a child. Everything you both expressed about the danger of this cult on children is spot on. Her father is a “minister” and from my experience with him showed me all I needed to know, from his hypocrisy( double life), abnormal need for validation disguised as arrogance and extreme control issues. I’m so afraid for his child and I hope she doesn’t become as damaged as he is.

I left jw in the late 80's... and you are extremely correct... the children.. especially the girls.. bought up in that religion... were absolutely so innocent... especially the teenagers... desperately looking for husband's..fond memories... but that is what makes you exactly right! they were being brought up...too innocent for this world.. the perfect environment for child predators.... Jehovah's own haven... your personal nightmare... the kingdoms nightmare..crush my heart now... make this pain go away... I see now..most elders are simpletons to worldly manipulators...if another Israel has fallen..then it's claim of birthright and heir is false...of this I am content.. but now I must be this witness.. that I can't bear that childs pain... but can end it's cause.

That hurts so bad cus this us literally my life as a female. Watched my male siblings be worshipped and did whatwvwr they wanted. I was told i dont have an opinion literally. I was purposely hindered by my iron fist father. And both parents blocked every opportunitu i had to grow independence from internships to something as basic as learning to drive. So naturally when i did leave being forced out for having a conversation wirh a worldly giy who i wasnt even attracted to. Sadly, he was a big part of gaining independence and quite franlky all he did was everytjing my own father refused to do. Inrhink he felt responsible in part for my being kicked to the curb by my family. Was only working , going to sxhool, walking and riding the bus. What more could youbask? I was put in So many detremental situations because i didnt have the self sufficiency i should have had. But the worse part is that the mindset iblearned that other peoples happinessnis my responsibikity and i should yield to other people especially men.
Its a point i never could cross and my strong will which made me a target as a child kept growing stronger as i went along. And i found myself. I also found my way out if this cult mentally and rhat is rhe biggest blessing. I still carry scars from way back and some baggage. But im in control finally. I will not leave this place without doing what i came here to do.

Yupp, there was this creepy ahh old man in my aunts congregation. The way her hall was set up there was a front room where the meetings took place & this random back room with a table. Right after the meetings he would go back there and have all the kids lined up waiting for their candy… and you know how all the adults would chatter for an hour after the meeting so the kids would be in there unsupervised. My aunt would tell us to never take candy from him and don’t go back there. One day we did and she whooped our tails for it. I thought it was cause she didn’t want us to have candy, but I thought about it for years and was like wow, he was a lil creepy slug old man… lol. As a child witness, I thought it was terrible that Christmas and birthdays are banned. Watching worldly people celebrate Christmas and having family reunions made me feel left out of a harmless social event. My impression is that Christmas comes right out of the bible, the birth of Jesus and the wise men giving gifts. Regarding the word pagan…..pagans never celebrated Christmas. Most people today celebrate Dec 24th not about Jesus but simply celebrate to participate in a great holiday. Non Christian’s are tired of Christian’s trying to this and that about Christmas. This is why now for many people Christmas is not about Jesus but just to have a happy holiday. this is why we no longer say merry Christmas but happy holidays. The point is what ever you believe Christmas is a wonderful holiday and should be celebrated what ever it means to you. For some it just means a holiday for fun. I feel sorry for all of us who missed out on Christmas and Easter. Jehovah’s Witnesses have NO RIGHT to remove the celebration of the birth and death of Christ. Yes, I think this is one of the many things JW’s deprive their children from celebrating. It’s about family reunions, gifts and taking a few days out of the year and show some love for each other. Forget the word pagan……we all love Christmas trees, presents and family reunions. As you can see I wish I had celebrated Christmas growing up. Lol. This has been a fun video. I saw your Christmas video and wish you do a thanksgiving and Christmas video. You are like an extended family to me and your viewers. There is no other ex JW channel like yours. When I watch your videos I feel like you are so real and right in my living room giving good advice. Other channels are some what distant and not so personal like y’all. Thank you

    worth mentioning:
1- In the meetings people read all kind of topics: death, drugs, sex, sickness, and anything in between, kids get to listen to this like if they were adults.
2- kids get obliged to comment in the meeting and say "Yes" yet, they dont really have comprehension of what they are saying but they have to say it.
3- some of these parents get agressive with their kids when they start crying and they take them to the back...
4- there's a Caleb video where they are telling him not to celebrate birthdays, cause is bad, then another video about not to spend your savings on icecream instead give it to the Hall.
    the list goes on...smh!

She also told me I better attend, or else
Every Sunday, we supposedly do family worship
Yesterday, we watched the latest JW broadcasting

In the Baptist faith, we never force our children to accept our beliefs or get baptized. We teach them about the faith. Whenever they have their own understanding and make the choice to accept Jesus as their Savior and get baptized, then it’s their decision. For our sons personally, they were both young boys when they expressed wanting to be baptized. We made sure that they had a clear understanding of the choice they were making. We didn’t coerce them. When we were satisfied that they understood, we allowed them to be baptized. As a parent of course you want what you feel is best for your children. However, it is ultimately their choice because it’s what they have to live with and what they will be accountable for. Thanks for another honest, informative video 😊.

It's always best to lead by example. I was raised by parents that it was do as I say not as I do in a very legalistic household, I absolutely had no respect for them because they were the biggest hypocrites. But I was a single parent with two children that raised my kids by example and today my children are upstanding citizens that have accepted the Lord and I have a close relationship with both of them.
