- Deanna Elise Moore is a certified NLP (NeuroLinguistic Programming) Master Practitioner since 2005. She came from 5 generations of Jehovah's Witnesses, spent nearly 20 yrs as a regular pioneer and was about as deeply brainwashed as you can get. After leaving the cult 10 years ago, she recreated a new life and currently lives on 40 acres in Ecuador, practicing healing through NLP therapy and plant medicine. Currently, she's creating easy to follow programs to help exJW's THRIVE after leaving, helping people truly de-programming themselves from what is holding them back.

The governing body is not inspired, they make mistakes, they vote for "new light ", and if anyone disagrees with them, they kick them out, shun them and label them as apostates, and they're not apologizing, ever, what a loving arrangement 😢
I think that the gov.body votes on new light and new rules. I think each rule or new light needs two- thirds majority, according to Ray Franz book. I wonder how God reacts to that since God «inspires» them?
@@Jatoli and to disagree with their "man-made" rules and doctrine, you'll be disfellowship and label an apostate, what a loving arrangement, so seeing that this is how they run the "organization " isn't it clear to see that watchtower is in fact a "cult", in the most suttle way ??? 👀
@Jatoli According to Jeffery Winder's talk at the 2023 Annual Meeting, new light is only introduced if it's a unanimous decision. If it's not unanimous they figure it's not yet God's timing for the change. So, seems like they've ditched the 2/3 rule.
Yes 100% and that attitude goes right down to the individual KHs
What is stopping you from getting off your backside and going from house to house with your version of 'truth' if you're so keen for people to believe your opinion?
The fact is that you don't even have the integrity or conviction of believing your own lies - you're a coward and a liar - you hide behind your TH-cam channel whining and complaining - you're not bringing any changes.
.. meanwhile there are over 8.8 million faithful witnesses sharing bible truths in some 239 lands in hundreds of languages - also over 7.2 million bible studies being conducted in fulfillment of Jesus' words - Matthew 24:14 and Mark 13:10 > Matthew 28:19 & 20
You have no share in this divine work - you have nothing to show - you have no accomplishments - what's your excuse?
You are a fraud and a coward - your silence is overwhelming - just sayin' ..
Free speech is a wonderful thing! Lol! 😁
Incredible story. She had a strong family circle but but look what happened to her in this dark, horrible, toxic org. Imagine what happens to those who have weaker or zero connection. Deanna, wish you all the best wherever you are.
Hi
We were really in a cult.
@Aqua,
I wasted over 30 years in this mess. 😢

Wasted years !! Sounds like that song by Wilf Carter: "Wasted Years".
Yep 👍🏻

One thing i can't understand is why God allows it.
I fully understand why people become atheist after leaving the Watchtower cult.
I still believe there's a God..
I just can't understand why he sits back and does nothing to stop all evil manipulation in this world.
Especially "governing body" lying scum.

Deana if you read this, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Listening to this healed some part of me, made me feel less alone, and inspired me to be insanely optimistic about the future. Thank you, thank you ❤️
Watching this, all the laughing, it’s a trauma response. What we’ve gone through as women, as “sisters”, it’s horrifying. No doubt, the elders called her crazy.
The craziest part, watching this you learn, while marriage is supposed to be this beautiful thing, it’s absolutely detrimental to women in this organization. We have absolutely no help, no rights. Even our families are more concerned with the organization, then the welfare of their own daughters.
It’s sad.
Right, the laugh is a trauma response…
Amazing ! well done Deanna! they didn't destroy you, you found yourself.
Thank you both

You go girl 😊❤
This reminds me learning Spanish when I was 20, I coud read the Bible and the Truth book, pray and give talks… but my vocabulary was mainly theocratic:) this was at the end of Franco’ s era… later I travelled to Spain for tourism, and I had to learn every days words:)) I left 40 y ago and moved to a country with no apparent jws, but recently I stayed in southern Spain and tried to have a conversation with a chart keeper, mainly to test if I remember the biblical words:) of course, I did not tell anything about my DA, he was a nice guy, but eventually he gave me a so silly argument against evolution, I had to stop this nice experience:) et bonjour à la France…
@@disassociated1731 thats exactly what happened to me 🤣I had the "live forever" book memorized in spanish, defend all the crazy beliefs...but don't ask me about the weather because I didn't understand🤣
I cracked when you said: if someone is drowning, you want to save them with a Watchtower”, you are starving? Go to the meeting!
😂😂😂. So true!!! 😂😂😂
Thank you so much for this experience. Having a lot of husbands, as a JW you are looked upon of. That is the JW culture!
You do the right thing and you are still marked from the rest of your life.
Loved this interview and I will share it!
Look for therapy!👏👍 best recommendation ever!
Thanks again!
Wish you the best and yes, outside there are wonderful, kind, GOOD people!
By the way, how can you be contacted?
And I always say:

With a crushed ❤️ and broken spirit i must say Thank you and may we all heal.
❤. We need it.
Wow! What a story. I admire Deanna's optimism despite everything she's gone through in life. Sending love ❤️
You HAVE to stay optimistic and laugh...or else you get depressed. Laughter is actually a GREAT trauma strategy
I am a JW since 1982 but not closed to anyone in particular. My husband is my only, best friend. Married since 35 years un a mixed marriage. We stick together. My husband is in his country n moved in his country since 1993. Never regret it. I am my own person. My relationship with Jehovah gives me freedom to hear what others are saying about JW because I want to know what others are thinking of our org .
Love the lifestyle change in Ecuador. Sounds like a complete healing and change. Love to hear it.
I’m a born in JW at 22 I disassociate in 1978… I knew I was going to lose my JW family because the Love was Conditional…Deeana said it right you don’t have a family when they’re already been lost to the WT Organization…So true Thousands of families destroyed by this Cult…😞
This was harrowing to listen to, how shes managed to keep moving forward is a testament of the determination and strength. this cult cannot fall apart fast enough.
You literally have to laugh your way through it. I admit, there were many times my laughter sounded more deranged...like The Joker 🤣but still the opposite is crying, depression and suicide...like so many of our people that have left
I was a JW for 40 years so I understand their “ discipline” rules. When I started attending a nondenominational church, the first thing I wanted to know was if they disfellowship members. The pastor told me that he was not the God police! If someone is sinning ( as we all do) what better place to be then at church. I proceeded to ask HOW the congregation would be kept clean? He gave me an example of someone “living in sin” that is coming to church regularly. What ALWAYS happens is they either get married or they end up leaving on their own. God has a way of keeping things clean. I’ve been at church for over 15 years now & it absolutely works that way.. every time!! The only time someone would be asked to leave ( our pastor is a mandatory reporter) is over child abuse , domestic abuse, murder, ect of course! Those kinds of things get reported to proper authorities. We are at church hoping & praying for people who are far from God, that they will come to church, be loved and learn to follow Jesus!! We are there to help, not disfellowship & judge.
There are pastors and priests who do evil things and remain in the church. That was just a lie.
@@MS-sr6mj - I didn’t say it would happen immediately, but the darkness ALWAYS comes into the light. I know many members who “ try” to keep things secret.. but in time, it’s always exposed. All in God’s timing.
@@MS-sr6mj I don't go to church or anything like that.
But i like the comment you responded to.
The point you make is a weak one in light of the information presented in the comment you responded to.
Because no matter what position a human has we all sin.
We all make mistakes.
Remember Bill Clinton for example?
He was President of the US, we all sin all the time.
Maybe the best place to go is church,
It may be wishful thinking, but i hope Jesus can help me and you out one day.
jack this is one hell of an interview in my personal opinion. much love from the sister islands of the caribbean
Deanna you are such an articulate intelligent woman with an awesome inspiring story. You need to write this story. Also you need to start your own business helping people. You will wind up having a successful life, I just know it!😊
Its good to see Deanna telling her story on various exjw channels. ❤.

Being called an apostate is like being called a racist. Once that accusation comes out, all rational discussion is lost. It's a great fall back position by JW's.
I never thought of it that way, but you’re 💯 right! Plus most sins need 2 witnesses, with the apostate accusation the words of one person ruin your life.
I know 94 years old JW's sister that she is still waiting for Armageddon,,,
Tell her it’s just “around the corner” any second now😂😄😁

@@juliabann2238 Not only her, 6 members of her family too..... Somehow they don't see that is a waste of time , it's so crazy,,, GB should go to HELL very , very fast ,,,
I can see Deanna as a very bright and aware child with a loving disposition. I think her sense of humor has helped her survive the hell she was thrown in starting with the 1st marriage. Her 2nd hubby was thrown into hell when he married her. The sexual abuse and alcoholism rampant within the organization seems worse than in the "world." The commentator made a true point that those not Witnesses are affected detrimentally by the religion. I know my brother growing up was deep into JW and began to withdraw from our Mother (not a JW) and Father (JW but not so active) seeking the company and advice of the spiritual elite in the congregation. Their advice was mostly crap and did not have his best interests at heart and was not what they adviced their children. 😢
Thank you Deanna, for sharing your story!
I could, in some degree, sympathise with you, because I myself had the same feeling, "the Congregation have to keep clean", and had (as Elder) 7 years of Hell (from other 4 Elders) on my "waking up" way.
I'm sure it'll help many of those on the way of liberation from this CULT!
All the best to you in the life!
Jack, henk you also for exceptional work with your channel, and wish you also all the best!

Appreciate this interview so much. After 25 yrs out, NOW I’m learning about all this information because I was never brave enough to search other sources of information. That’s how strong the brain washing can be… specially for those who baptized at 13 yo… shunned unjustly at 30, when I never intended to leave the organization.
Now I’m having like a 2nd chance in life, embracing freedom, happiness and peace.
So happy for you to have made it out! 🙌🏻
Dziękuję Jacku za tak wartościowy wywiad. Pozdrowienia dla Deanna

As a kid my parents always said “ you’re going to serve Jehovah as long as you live here”. “ You’re going to the Kingdom Hall as long as you live here”. It wasn’t two weeks after my 18th birthday I moved out with the little money I had . Anything was better than being in that cult .
Wow! The best Ex-jw-video I've seen in years, lovely Deanna speaks so clearly, reasonably and with compassion. Tears are running down my face. I've never been a jw, but married to one for 12 years. What you're telling Deanna would be a great revelation to my Ex-wife, but she shuts down any attempt to wake up. Watchtower destroyed our marriage. Now I'm so impressed by your journey at last you found your paradise healing people with natural substances, plants and fungi. I wish I could visit you and your husband one day!th-cam.com/channels/zPU7cPUFkY5DSsye_DA5xg.html
"A healer is someone who holds space for you while you awaken your inner healer so that you may heal yourself." -Maryam Hasnaa.
Horrible - horrible - horrible. I'm so sorry Deanna.
Crocodile tears for a fake story. Believe me I’m her son.
Thanks for doing multiple interviews. This one really resonated with me. My experience was very different, but exactly the same! They take good people & hurt them deeply. Interesting that I found the same dynamic of running into a very evil man & his wife, who tho they hold no appointed position, are supported in the congregation, & clear to the top, in their evil ways, by donating large amounts. We were completely duped, thinking that "Jehovah's org" is clean & righteous. It breaks my heart for the innocent ones just trying to do whats right & decent within an evil, filthy, demonic cult.
These elders are over the top with power, if you’re in there crosshairs they will scrutinize everything you do! You will be watched. They are not shepherds, they are German shepherds barking, and growling orders at the rank a file to make sure those they feel are weak fear them.
Deanna & Jacek, Thank you so much for this video. Deanna, my heart goes out to you for all the unfair and cruel treatment that happened to you over the years--thank you for sharing your story. Being in for 30 years I saw women treated so badly and made out to be the one with negative actions. But it shows how deeply the mind control was for me that I did not always speak out--by the time I was PIMO for 10 years I was changing a lot of my thinking and how and what I said to people. One young woman who I had not seen since a toddler, and I had a conversation about her mother who was one of my close friends. She said to me with tears in her eyes, "No one has ever said anything good about my Mom." Because the dad was the son of an elder he got away with abuse. Truth came out that he was very mentally abusive 30 years later. Only one of the sad stories of the said influence to people's lives. Your story of overcoming such circumstances is inspiring and gives a lot of people hope. The whole video is excellent and the last twelve or so minutes really pulls it all together.
Thank you 🙏
Hi Deanna, you may not remember me, but I knew you. Wow, what a horror story! I am so sorry for what you went through. I would love to speak to you sometime to catch up.
I hope that your life has gotten better since having left.
This is really amazing, I feel like she and I are kindred spirits, although I've come out of the Brighamite lds cult instead. I was married 3 times, although twice were to my first husband, who was the abusive one. Had the children, he abandoned us and drained all the bank accounts. Not in the DR, though, although I do have a connection to the DR in that my grandparents served as mission president and wife for the missionaries in the area back in 1998.
My current husband is 20 years older than I am. AND I have gotten involved in plant medicines, including ayahuasca, the last year since leaving the lds church!❤
After watching this there is no way I can go back to the cult.
The story about how her first husband proposed to her (when she was 17) was sort of familiar. I have a relative that is a missionary. He "observed" his future wife for a while. And then he pulled her aside and told her his goals and how he'd like her to be his wife to share in these goals. They also didn't kiss until the wedding ceremony. I find this so un-romantic and mechanical. Also, Deanna's morning after the wedding surprise is shameful. This is why non-JWs begin a sexual relationship and even live together before there is a family commitment. We learn a lot more from a person when they can be vulnerable. They can be vulnerable when they have an intimate relationship - and I don't mean sexually intimate. I'm happy for Deanna for finding her passion in life.
I think she needs to be a witness in cout inUSA. With all the lawsuits happening in Pensilvania i think this is an exelent story!
Yep, they (GB) don’t care!
Wow that was an experience. Love how you came through all you have been through with a smile.
Very few can
I am so sorry that you went through all that. I totally understand how you feel. I felt the indifference and no support when I desperately needed the congregation to support me -a single mother with 3 kids. People looking down on me and not associating with me- leaving a narcissist lazy manipulative husband and pursuing higher education- how dare I do that…I kept wanting to go back. I tried a different congregation. I kept going home crying after every meeting. I lived in Utah too. I finally stopped going and suddenly I felt sooooo much better. My life took a different turn, therapy and getting higher education, bachelors, masters really helped.
I think this might be the best interview ever
She is truly amazing 😻 isn’t she?
I have left this organization for about 7 years now and clearly understand this interview, thanks for great video.

What is NLP?
@@kenmayo7974
NLP is the process of relearning your thought patterns that Deanne coaches now,
she spoke about that during interview.
@@kenmayo7974 It stands for NueroLinguistic Programming. Its a tool that I use to literally rewire your brain so that you can let go of the trauma, old beliefs and create a future for yourself.
@@kenmayo7974a pseudoscience at best. neuro linguistic programming. The training is usually just a short few days course.
Most psychologists think it is a pseudoscience and the fact that there is a lack of regulation and monitoring throughout practitioners careers is troubling.
@@kenmayo7974neuro linguistic programming.
My previous message seems to have been removed but I’ll try again with slightly less questioning language. It’s a questionable belief that is poorly regulated and certification can be obtained after a course lasting only days. Many psychologists don’t believe it is correct which isn’t surprising when this woman said illnesses are due to your mental states and beliefs and can be cured by reprogramming your outlook on things.
Unfortunately if you are suffering from a genetic defect, virus or bacterial infection no amount of trying to change your beliefs is going to help.
Deanna calls her family "righteous". I do not fully agree with that when it comes to pursue the love of Christ, and I don´t think she does either nowadays. Jesus cared for every single individual sheep before the flock. JW put dogma before caring love, which is exact opposite to the teachings of Christ. The way Deanna has been treated is disgusting.
Duuuuuude stop marrying! If it isn’t obvious you aren’t meant to be a wife idk what ia ll

Thank you Jack and Deanna! I honestly have no words for this story. The real God of the bible doesn't have an organization.
The real God of the bible loves you Deanna. I'm so sad that people twist the words of God. These men are so evil and the judgement that is coming upon them is unbelievable. James 3:1 My brothers let not many of us want to teach knowing this that our judgement will be much stricter. In this religion people try to make themselves righteous this is not what the book says. Amazing and powerful interview, much appreciated! Maybe God was getting you out of that black abyss of a cult. You are too precious Deanna. Such beautiful person.
Thanks for this interview. There is life after the WT. I studied psychology, Inner child Therapy and community development. Amazing wealth of knowledge but I tell you even today I find it difficult to forgive the cult for damaging the unconditional love that we should have for our children. It takes a long time to clean out the mind, oil the gears to work in different patterns and embrace hope. Faith comes from a relationship with the Father AND the Son, in fact the Son is the one who has authority over all mankind, He is the way, the truth and the life. John 6: the whole chapter. From cult at 20 to freedom at 75, born again for 9 years now with peace of mind. Thanks for sharing Deanna's story because it reminded me of the struggle to break free. I only pray that as the WT crumbles the people trapped inside will see that it is not born, created, governed or approved by God or His Son. God hates religion but stands by His word.
This is some of the most eye opening information. Settles everything. I will never doubt I made the right decision not to ever go back.
I love this woman’s story, I’ve always been fascinated by human resilience. This idea preached by the JWs that humans who leave the organization will inevitably fall apart is perhaps one of their greatest fallacies.

Hi my Sister Deanna, Our good lord Jesus, said: Whatever we sow, will will harvest. And how tough it is to brake a pattern when we have been programed by the JW's I've been in for 30 years and are preparing my self for exit. Funny thing is that the slandering of my name began 28 years ago. So im lucky i dont have any friends inside, my family has been there for me and now im slowly preparing my vife and kids.
Best interview I’ve heard this year! Thank you for telling your story. I don’t regret walking away from those toxic people! They hurt me, and I am still in therapy for all of the trauma they caused in my life! God is not backing these people.
Wow your story is incredible! And Ayahuasha is what woke my up. I was a gay ministerial servant struggling to stay faithful to "Jehovah". Then i started working in an organic supermarket and the produce guy was a shaman. He invited me to come drink Ayahuasca with him because he saw how much i was struggling with about everything in my life. At first i refused because it was a "drug" and i was terrified of getting possessed by demons (as a good JW of course). But i got to a point where i was so down and low that i eventually accepted his invitation and thank god i did. Very first thing Ayahuasca showed me were 3 of my previous lives so from the get go my world view was shaken to it's core and i think instantly i realized that I've been lied to my entire life by the JW's.
Second thing Aya thought me was the absolute importance of deeply unconditionally loving your self. Nothing of what the JW's teach. This was July 2014 by November was mailed them my withdraw letter and lost every single person in my life being a 4th generation Witness.
So Deanna your story is amazing and keep producing Ayahuasca for others to use! It saved my life!!!
So much ❤❤❤❤❤❤

What kind of drug is this
Unfortunately these stories are a dime a dozen in the JW church. Really wish this was a unique story but sad to say it’s not
Help! I need to get out! I’m crying as I write these words because I feel like I am being disloyal to Jehova. I’ve been in and out twice but my programming makes me come back! It’s insane. My rational brain tells me that this is not right. But I love Jehova so much but I can’t see him whilst I’m here. I have never felt so disconnected from my spirituality and my abilities as a healer. My life is so similar to Deanne’s. I had tears flowing down my face as she told her story and it felt like she was talking about me. I would really like it if she reached out to me.

Absolutely unbelievable what she went through, I’m on my 3rd and final marriage! The whole family Pimi is very real to me!! Lovely woman ❤
I am so sorry you have not met a Spirit filled Christian who could have helped you to heal and find the real God and his peace and love. You don't need drugs to find your spirit, just ask Jesus.
No kidding!
Tylenol is a drug. Plants are plants. You don't need a spirit filled Christian to lead you anywhere. The human is an animal on earth. We would not live if we did not inhale the exhale of the trees. Every individual has a natural spirit with which plant medicines allow you to participate without interference. Life is a spiritual experience that humanity has domesticated itself out of.
Her parents are victims too
They were doing what they thought was good for their kids
Of course
It is not
what a story so where is God in all of this ~considering there are starving kids in Africa
Why was everyone being so petty in this story? I’m sorry about everything that happened to you it’s sad and pathetic how they’ve treated you.
It’s because the story is fake. She’s my mom and this story is full of crocodile tears, warped truths and outright lies.
Well the good news is that Jesus is Lord God Almighty clothed in unsinful humanity and He is the author of *eternal life* to all who trust Him alone for salvation.
He paid for all the sins of all the world at the cross (past, present, and future). That payment is put to your account when you have believed on Christ alone for salvation 💐❤️💐💘.
*This means that saving repentance is realizing that you are a sinner deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn (repent) from whatever you trusted in before, if indeed you trusted in anything; to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ alone for salvation.*
Incredible story. You were almost destroyed by the JW organization. I worked in Haiti for ten years and they need a lot of support. I met a lot of good people there. Ou ka fe en pil bon bagay pou moun siau.
m toujou gen anpil bon zanmi nan republik dominiken, m sonje yo anpil 💔
We were lied and sweet heart. We are spirt, soul and flesh body. We have to ask JESUS CHRIST to live inside of us, ask HOLY SPIRT to live inside of us and pray asking for our soul healing, ask God to help us forgive everything done to us and you don’t have to do anything else. Y Believing with faith and we will be a totally new human being. When the REAL GOD fights for you, you life will has 360 degrees turn and will never want to go back. JESUS is alive and REAL, I am not talking religion.
I just booked an ayahuasca trip to Ecuador and this video popped up. Wtf! Im coming to see yall!
Wow that’s awesome
This is the best experience I have ever heard from a former JW. And she came out eventually, after years! Everything she says about being a JW and in the organisation is true. I recognize it. And NOW, she is a very wise and reflected person.
