    Perfect subject for a video, these are the kinds of games I'm excited to play on my deck when I get one. Stuff like Dead Rising, Dead Space and a bunch of JRPGs from that era.

      Glad you enjoyed it, Dennis! TONS of games from that era should run just fine and I always love doing videos on games from this era since they usually run well and with stellar battery life!

    Mirrors Edge: Catalyst is great on steam deck, with pretty good graphics for a portable console. Not my favorite story, but nice for short sessions.
    Edit: The OG Mirrors Edge is $2 on steam rn!

      Good to know! I'll see if I can snatch up the sequel at some point :)

    The reason why people say the Switch is the best place to play the DMC collection is twofold: first because all 3 games are sold separately so you can just opt out of buying 2, and secondly because it's the only official release of 3 that has freestyle Style and Weapon switching backported from 4 and 5. Other versions of 3, without mods, restrict you to 2 melee weapons, 2 guns, and 1 style. This has been modded in to the original PC release of 3 and Special Edition, but unsure if the HD Collection port has had that modded in.

    • @YourPlayer2
      @YourPlayer2  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah yes I DO remember that now about the weapon switching! Thanks for chiming in to remind me, War :)

    Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 1 and 2 play phenomenally well on deck. Max settings 800p gets 60fps at 15w and if you play at ps2 settings (low, 400p it's honestly super nostalgic) you can get like 5-7 hours of battery.

    • @YourPlayer2

      I THINK I have the first one but have never played it so adding it to the list for a future video :)

    Is anyone else having performance issues with Mirrors Edge? I havent messed around too much with the settings, but the game typically runs at 60. Once i hit a room filled with breakable glass though- it drops to 8-10 fps. Anyone have any suggestions?

    Need more of these. I don't really enjoy much of new flagship AAA games, instead I played these games more but I owned most of games in this list, wish you have bigger list.

    Nice list! Crazy Taxi is so good! The soundtrack is stellar! I started to listen to Bad Religion because of that game back in the day! Fable is fun and hilarious! I can't wait for the new one! Prototype is a series that I've never played and frankly, I don't know why! It should have been right up my alley since it's basically a superhero game! I know they're available on the PSN store so I'll have to scoop them up! Great video and keep up the good work!

      Much obliged! It's just always so fun to look back on the 2000s in particular and I think that's because that's when I started having my own money to get games and 3D was really starting to come into its own. Glad you have some fond memories of the era as well!

    I really want the cutscenes to play perfectly on DMC HD collection. I've always really wanted to play through those games and Steam Deck would be perfect. Also I wish cloud saves worked with it too but it wouldn't be a deal breaker.

    7:24 I believe this is funny/ironic if I remember the story right :P but since you didn't finish it... Still, I loved that game, could be fun to revisit. I also never actually played the second game even though I do have it. I remember it used to crash immediately on startup and I didn't get it fixed at the time. Should see if it runs on the deck...

    Great Video! The steam Deck is a great place to play these again. I actually just finished Lost planet 1 for the first time on the deck a few weeks ago. I've been off and on playing the second one but unfortunately it's single player only. Aside from a few odd crashes it runs pretty well as far as the main game is concerned.

    Runs amazing and can get 5+ hours battery life. Vampire the Masscarade Bloodlines most fire CRPG ever. Controls translate great as well. Believe still says unsupported but first game I played on the Deck more than a year ago. Blast from the past.

    • @destynova4512
      @destynova4512 ปีที่แล้ว

      @YourPlayer2 I'm not sure how others in the series play. But Bloodlines definitely worth a playthrough as for 1 it's not really that long a game for what it is and well the Community Controls on Steam Deck suprised me how good they are for a game that was PC only and never made to play on a controller lol. Also interesting throwback to how amazing and awkwardly amazing the facial animations are as it was made with different technique before mocap was common place. And the dialog between characters not many games that come to mind that are like it but maybe New Vegas lol.
