I started recently my journey on filmmaking and i´m so excited that this camera just dropped! It´s perfect for my needs and i can´t wait to put my hands on it! Great video
Yes, I agree. It can be overwhelming when you first get a new camera. I’m actually making a beginner camera course that may help you learning your camera. What lenses did you pick up with your ZV-E10 ?
What a great comparison! Thanks for that! But one thing is missing: the ZV-E10 has a mechanical shutter and, according to my information, the Mark II does not have one. In addition to the ZV-E10, I also have a Sony a6700 and when it comes to taking photos of fast-moving objects, you need the mechanical shutter. Rolling shutter effects are weaker in the electronic shutter than with the ZV-E10, but they are still clearly visible in photos as long as there are fast-moving objects.
@@thefilmalliance I'm more of a photographer than a filmmaker. But thanks to your channel I'm starting more and more small film projects. Your tip with audiio was great. I have started a lifetime membership.
Similar. I was looking at the a6700 as a B cam to pair with my FX30 but I think the ZV-E10 mkii might be the better buy. I heard some people talking about the mechanical shutter difference, but am curious on your thoughts on how much that makes a difference? Great video though!
@@thefilmalliance Clearly a lot of work went into this! I'm not planning on purchasing the ZE-10ii as I shoot with its bigger older brother the ZE1. Love your videos man, I learn a lot . Cheers

If in need of a new camera for vlogging, im getting that osmo pocket 3. This was a good video. but man. its just getting crazier out here. most people dont use most of this. at one point I used my dji drone for filming everything lol. just to see if I could, it shoots 5.4k, and has log . and its has a stabilizer and flys! best $1000 camera you can buy. the only issue with that drone is no audio. cant wait to see how crazy it gets in just 8 more months.
Thank you for this video🙏🏻 I'm a complete newbie when it comes to filming and this video really helped me with my decision. I ordered the ZV-E10 ii today and I'm really looking forward to it. Do you have a video where you explain the best settings for cinematic filming? Specifically what the picture profiles and recording formats are and what's best? Best wishes from Germany
Your video is the first I’ve seen on the new Sony ZV-E10 Il. Great work and love the gizmo to check how quick they heat up! Really appreciate that info! Thanks for the great video!!
Thank you. The ZV-E10 was ahead of its time for sure, but the ZV-E10II is the new kid on the Block and time will tell if it will be a classic. I think it will be.
The "how quick they heat up" I can address. We run a studio 3-camera shoot with ZV-E10. We have the LCD screen open on all three, and all three use dummy batteries. The Settings have the high heat setting turned on. We did an 8-hour test of the camera's recording to an ATEM Mini Pro ISO, and there were no heat warnings and no shutdown. I'm assuming it would be different if they did not have dummy batteries and were recording internally. But for our studio setup, you could run them for days without any problem.
Great comparison, Joe. Wow, you are one thorough guy. I am using a Pocket 3, Insta360 X3, and a GoPro 11 and 12 for my outdoor action film and vlogging. I also have a Nikon D7200 with some very high end glass that I am still getting outstanding stills with. I am currently using my Pocket 3 for studio recording and am looking for an A studio recording camera mainly for the headshot and product showcase feature. I would then relegate the Pocket 3 to a B camera. I am leaning toward the mark ii because I usually shoot in 10 bit and color grade. That said, the Sony mark one with the tamron lens would be much more economical for the limited use I need one of those 2 Sony's for. My dilemma is the color issue. I know you use the Pocket 3 so I was wondering if you sell any luts that would work with the Sony and Pocket 3 to give me a more consistant color grade? I should also mention that I use Davinci Resolve.
@@thefilmalliance It's stucked to my ZV-E10 Mark I since I got both. Right now, I am torn between the ZV-E10 II and A6700. As a ZV-E10 I user and having done reviews about it, I would love to get it for review purposes. The battery size and newer features are so tempting for the Mark II such that I might sell off the Mark I for the Mark II. Not sure how it compares with the A6700.
Bro, you are among the very finest reviewers I've ever seen. Thank you for your clean, crisp and in-depth coverage. You've become my Go-to guy for camera stuff. One question: what's your fave lens on the new Mark 2 for vlogging esp when weight is a consideration? Thanks!
I just bought the ZV-E10 because I was tired of waiting for news of the mark II and of course because of the price which I knew would definitely be more expensive. But I really like the conclusion of this video.
Yes! Please do a comparison between the ZV-E10 II and the A6700. It would be very much appreciated. And phenomenal work by you and your team on the video by the way. 🔥🔥🔥
Great comparison, thanks for the hard work required to make this! For stationary talking-head videos like podcasts/interviews it seems like the mark i is fine and the mark ii wouldnt be a huge benefit
Great presentation, Joe. The Mk II looks good, but, for now at least, I'll stick to my Mk I and A6700 😉 but... it is soooo tempting! Yes please, do a comparison between the Mk Ii & A6700... Keep up the good work!
Thank you OK. Duly noted. I know what you mean about being tempted. It seems like every month there’s a new camera to be tempted by. For now I think you have an amazing set up and I would just leave it the way it is.
Very informative. Thanks. But still, I can't decide which one to get. I dont do vlogging on my channel. I only make DIY crafting videos and Product review videos. Can you pls suggest which one works best for what I do?
hey man , I get it. Choosing a camera can be overwhelming with so many options out there. There are quite a bit of factors you'll need to consider to be honest. I made a 'Which Camera Should I Buy?' course and a free quiz. Check em out
Great review! The biggest problem that I have for both cams is no viewfinder. Then the rest of it comes down to price. I would prefer the mark i because I’m new and I’m pretty sure my PC hardware won’t be able to handle the top performance out of either camera. First gen gets my vote
The difference looked pretty obvious on the waterfall and sky shots. I guess the mk2 is absolutely better for outdoor videography. Thx for the helpful review
Yes, I agree with you. I think the big difference comes from the 10 bit ZV-E10 II over the eight bit ZV-E10. we really start to see differences in the sky. The sky always looks a little overblown with the ZV-E10
Fantastic video, as always. Wondering if you will do also a comparison between a6700 and zv-e10II. I think btw i'm going with the zv cause i prefer more to do video, especially when i travel around the world
good idea. Yes, I definitely plan on comparing those two cameras. The ZV-E10II and the a6700 have the same sensor, so we would have to look at their differences from a technical standpoint
@@thefilmalliance it will be perfect. I'm a little scared about the absence of the ibis on the zve10 II, so i would like to know if the 400 extra of the a6700 are worth it
Love the Viltrox 13mm. Having the ZV-E10, I'd continue with it while waiting for Sony's update to the FX30. Reason being, the updates in comparison can be reflected in version one with skill, an external mic [rigged out], and color grading. New cameras hit the market so often that I prefer to wait for larger leaps in software before making a purchase. That said, the ZV-E10 II is a welcomed upgrade.
This was an excellent comment. I can see you are smart with your purchases and not an impulse buyer. I agree on everything you said and I’m excited for an update with the FX30. The ZV-E10II is a great little camera, especially for beginners nowadays. Imagine when you first started out having the option to buy this camera for $999. We live in pretty cool times. Thanks again for the thoughtful comment.
Joe, love your vids. Avid new subscriber right here. I'll get the ZV-E10 for sure, as im relatively new. Ill ask you questions once i do the study. THANK YOU for the great work and love.
Thanks, I think you’re going to love that camera. I started out with the ZV-E10 and it has been a blessing to have, use and learn with. By the way, welcome to the channel.
This is such an informative and incredible content to watch considering the fact that I just got the ZV E10. I’m really having a big ish on the rolling shutter speed. I am not a vlogger, I create commercial contents and every other contents that require me to move the camera. Do you have a suggestion on how I can go with the rolling shutter issue or just go for another camera. Please do suggest a camera within the ZV E10 price range. Thanks in advance. Awesome content btw, I’m definitely subscribing 🎊💯
Fantastic video. I am deciding between the Zv e10 and Mark II. Your quiz suggested the earlier version, but I really like the Mark II. I can prepurchase the mark II about anywhere, but no one has any actually in stock. Was wondering if you have a list of accessories recommended and compatible for the Mark II, and if they are interchangeable between the two. Thanks for your excellent content.
Although this the E10 ii would be a significant upgrade to my E10, (which btw is my first real camera), I feel that the recent purchase of the a6700 is just better. An added plus is the EVF that the a6700 has. E10 ii doesn’t have it, and personally, having an EVF is a definite must. Great video as always, my man. 🍻
Thanks for that. I agree if you are a photographer or a hybrid user, then I would go with the a6700 but if you're just a basic content creator, who wants great image quality then the ZV-E10 II would be your go-to camera
@@thefilmalliance~ Yeah, but with the lack of IBIS, mechanical shutter, and the AI features that the a6700 currently has, leads me to a hard pause on purchasing the E10 2. For now I’ll just stick with my E10, and a6700. I’ll kick the tires on the FX30 here and there until I’m ready to pull that proverbial trigger. 🍻
I interpreted your comment to mean that you didn't notice any drawbacks to not having a mechanical shutter in he ZV-E10 II when looking at the photography shots in this video. For street photography, a mechanical shutter won't affect the camera, except for capturing moving objects.
I like that conclusion. Those are both great cameras, and I don't think you have any need to pick up the ZV-ZV-E10 II, but maybe reconsider in a few months when it hits the used market.
I was waiting for you to cover this!!! Thanks for the depth review and comparisons of both cameras. I actually sold my ZV-E10 anticipating that the Mark II will come out. What was left out on the previous version I’m happy to see on the Mark II. I actually have the SmallRig cage from the previous version of the camera. Will that cage fit the Mark II?
Hi Joe I bought the ZVE10 and the Tamron 17-70 a few months ago absolutely love the step up from my ZV1 but after watching this youve got me looking at spending again to get a ZVE10ii body only to be my main and the ZVE10 as my second camera. Can I ask the overlays you use with the split screens look amazing have you created them yourself or are they purchased? They would be perfect for a project I'm doing. Great video as always 😁👍🏻
Hey Lee, that sounds like a great set up you got. Yes, the ZV-E10 II has got me really looking at my budget for cameras this year. Thanks for the compliment on the overlays. Yes - we created the overlays ourselves in Photoshop. At the moment, I am not selling them, but you bring up a great point about possibly making them available to my subscribers. I'll have to think about that one. Good luck on the project you have coming up
@thefilmalliance thanks Joe for the reply and yes I agree a pack of landscape and portrait overlays in that style could sell well they look amazing IMHO 😁
almost on all examples, from your pictures / videos, the E10 Mark II is killing the E10 ... unfortunately budget wise for me ... 😒😔Thanks for the great review
Great video ❤ Hi i want to buy a camera can u suggest which one is better camera with lens main purpose is for photography and videos when i travel. I'm thinking to buy one from below options Sony a6100y, a6400 and zve10 with kit lens of 16-50mm which one is best to buy. After watching ur video planning to go for zve10ii but it has not available in my region right now and bit costly.
Hey, thanks glad you enjoyed it. It depends on several factors you need to consider for yourself before buying. For that I would point you to the "Which Camera Should I Buy" course and free camera quiz I created. It will definitely help you figure out the best choice specifically for you. It's on my website and I left a link in the description of my latest video.
That's awesome. You know what is best for you. The AF in the ZV-E10II is better because it can focus on humans, animals and birds and has more autofocus points
Good video. Seems like a modest improvement. Honesty om thr intro with the waterfall i liked the original zve10 better than the mark ii. I wouldnt think it would be worth anyone upgrading. For someone like me who owns neither, im think go with thr cheaper one on sale or just pay more to go up a level or two to one of their higher series cameras. Thanks for posting. Enjoy yoir content.
Hey Travis, yes it was. It’s an awesome set up. Quick, portable, and great image quality out of the ZV-E10. I actually don’t own the Tamron 17-70. I just rented it while I was testing out the ZV-E10II. Do you notice when you’re using the polar pro ND filter, your white balances are all off?
@@thefilmalliance Cool - Hmm yes slightly cause when i use it alongside my Hoya UV on the other lenses, or K&F, seems a little different. Not far off though just matching wise a bit. It's the one with a Polarizer built in too though, unsure if yours is. And I kinda suspected that did it a little - I don't mind it's though it's not too bad for my workflow.
@@thefilmalliance For sure, yes white balance seems to have improved on ZV-E1 vs say my A7siii - but I just realized yesterday that the 'settings for white balance' aka the Cloud, Sun etc can actually change I think and arn't a locked in Kelvin. I always thought they were. So think now always gonna put exact Kelvin I need lol, Sony makes it extra hard not being able to set white balance while in Manual mode the old school way lol.
You refer to your upcoming ZV-E10 Mark ii course :) I look forward. Is it already here (somewhere), and can you help with a link, or is it still in production ?
I already have sigma 16mm 1.4 for streaming . Is the crop factor too much for this lens for vlog ? I dont want to get another lens, theyre so expensive
Thanks for the best ZV-E10 II review 👌👍 Can the ZV-E10 II do recording directly to a USB-connected SSD ? Will the recording work up to 4K30, or what are the limitations ? The large V90 version SD cards are very expensive. If the answer is yes, can you then afterwards connect the SSD to a computer and read the files directly, or will it be in another format, or the SSD is formated differently ?
I’m planning to use this for a beginner for TH-cam for in studio with lights on a tripod for filming and vlogging. What camera would you recommend? And what lens should I get? I was planning on getting the zve10 and getting a wide lens for the vlogging
Every camera has its different use for different applications. Have you tried taking my camera quiz? This may get you in the right direction. I would say go with the ZV-E10 II and Viltrox 13mm but that depends on the available room space and your budget. Yes the ZV-E10 is a great camera but for a few extra hundred $ you could have an amazing camera. What are your thoughts?
@@thefilmalliance hi there your quiz told me to get something else but that camera was a bit out of budget Ok so that lens is good for wide lens? For vlogging? How abt the kit lens it comes with? Thank you

Hey there, for what your doing, I’d say ZV-E10 II with the Viltrox 13 mm f1.4 and a good external mic. This will have your vids looking great and that setup will make you look legit. People will look at you as a pro so there's nothing to be embarrassed about :)
Absolutely amazing work, just bought this camera as my b cam to my full frame camera. So excited for the size and weight to be able to take anywhere with me 😊
@@thefilmalliance Well said! Pocket 3 with the creative combo coat around 700$. Even it's Image quality, low light is performance is excellent. But, there are some limitations of lenses. Spending 1k$ on Sony ZV-E10ii would give me more lenses options. It's a great value for money. I would be greatful to have your opinion on this. By the way I've been watching and learning alot from this channel. Thank you so much!
Very good in depth comparison, thanks for taking the effort to dive into so much detail! Question: I'm wondering if the ZV-E10 II has the Auto ISO min SS function? For some reason this was absent on the ZV-E10 mark I, which I missed in a lot of situations. Can you confirm the mark II does have this function? Cheers!
Hi i want to buy a camera tho i dont know and i have never used a camera im just a beginner. Also ZVE10 II is out of my budget. Should i go for ZVE10 ? This is my first camera and i would mostly click pictures and record videos mostly for youtube and fun.
In that case I’d say go with the ZV-E10. The ZV-E10II is great for low light and moving shots. The ZV-E10 would be a great in studio YT camera. I know a lot of people who use it for that only.
Hello, I bought my ZVE10 in March, and I enjoy using it a lot. What I did was invest in prime lenses. Here I only had the body, so I bought a Sony 50mm 1.8; after I decided to buy a Viltrox 20mm 2.8; after I bought a Sony 55mm-210mm; and now I bought a macro tube extension from Viltrox. Put all the prices together, everything cost me, including VAT of 23%, around 1200 euros. So it was even cheaper than the Sony 6700 body. Of course, you do not need to buy all these lenses. If you can find the camera with kit lenses, it is a good deal.
I hear ya, I agree the ZV-E10 is an amazing camera. I’ve had mine for almost 3 years and am still using it. But the ZV-E10II has better stabilization when handholding and walking.
@@thefilmalliance I will do that thanks , from watching your vids though , I think I’m leaning on the new one. The easier menu is better for a beginner , and these menus get wild lol
Hey! I’m between a6700, or this camera. I don’t know all the lingos. As I am a visual learner and kind of “learn as you go” person. I have to have it in front of me. I guess someone would consider me a beginner. But a willing to learn beginner! I am going to be shooting interview (testimony style) videos so majority of time it’ll be sit down videos. I also will be doing some street interviews here and there as well as a little bit of photography but not too much. I’ll also be doing sit down videos, small spoken word poetry videos and such. What camera would you recommend for this? I would be shooting inside of a church so they can be a bit dark inside. So I’ll need a good low light camera. Testimonies and videos will be pretty lengthy so I’ll need something that I can either buy a fan for if there’s any issues or that won’t shut down at all. I’m not gonna lie… this is all getting a bit overwhelming with so many different opinions and options. It’s hard. I took your quiz and got the FX30 as a suggestion but I don’t think know 😢 any suggestions?
It's disappointing that you didn't even mentioned the lack of a mechanical shutter in mark ii speaking of photography. For serious photography, the existence of mechanical shutter in mark i outweighs any improvements that comes with the mark ii.
Please tell me why the lack of a mechanical shutter will inhibit someone who is doing street photography. I didn't have any issues because I was taking photos of still objects.
@@thefilmalliance As you said, the lack of mechanical shutter inhibit you to capture any moving object without rolling shutter effect. Unless there is no cars and people in your "street", of course that also effects street photography. Not to mention flash sync and flashing LED lighting.
@@thefilmalliance Funny enough, I mainly do astrophotography with long exposure and travel selfy, so it's not a big issue for me. But I rarely shoot vidseos, so I don't want any compromise in still quality. That's why I bought ZV-E10, basically a better and cheaper a6400 without EVF, and will never consider "upgrade" to mark II.

Incredibly detailed video! Thank you for this huge work in letting us know everything we need to decide for the MK I or MKII.
Thanks Gabe. Which camera did you end up liking more? the ZV-E10II or the ZV-E10?
Thanks for the great in depth review. I watched probably 10 you tube videos over the past week and just ordered the ZVE10 2 from your channel.
Hi Kathleen, thats awesome! Please let me know what you think of the ZV-E10 II. Its my favorite camera right now
Hey bud! Awesome video, I think I’ll be buying the zve10 mark ii for my wife. Just wondering what mic you use for your talking head for TH-cam?
Thank you for this video🙏🏻
I'm a complete newbie when it comes to filming and this video really helped me with my decision.
@@radiomayapur wow such great info! I really appreciate your work you did and the detailed feedback. Very cool and helpful!
Happy to see you my man using the Tamron 17mm-70mm F 2.8 for this test. Well put together video.
Thanks, Abe, yes that is an outstanding lens, especailly when paired with the ZV-E10II
I’ll have to make a video on that and see what we come up with. The ZV-E10II and a6700 have the same sensor so it may be a close comparison
This is such a great video! It is so high quality and informative. I am looking into getting a first camera for video and this was so helpful!
Thanks, don't worry the ZV-E10 is still an excellent camera. I plan on continuing to use it even if I end up purchasing the ZV-E10II .
Killer review man. This covered everything I wanted to see and more- thanks for going so in depth! Beautifully edited/narrated too!
Thanks Graham, it was fun but challenging. Happy you got something from it
I'm waiting for your video, because you are the best reviewer I've ever seen!
That was nice of you. Thanks. Which camera did you end up liking more? the ZV-E10II or the ZV-E10 ?
@thefilmalliance How about the ZV-E10 II versus the Sony A6700? The prices are almost the same
Good idea. Ok will do that one soon
Yes! Please do a comparison between the ZV-E10 II and the A6700. It would be very much appreciated. And phenomenal work by you and your team on the video by the way. 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you, Ok we will do it. I appreciate the kind words. Are you planing on purchasing the ZV-E10II?
@@thefilmalliance Truth be told, I’m torn between a few options. But I keep coming back to these 2 and figuring out which one best fits my needs.
ahh, I know what you mean. OK Ill try to push one out soon
Coming here from the alpha 6700 review. Damn zv-e10 ii has an improved stabilization. Thats awesome.
I know right? Thats what had me scratching my head
I appreciate your work; it's excellent. Thanks for this video. Love from India!🥰
Great comparison, thanks for the hard work required to make this! For stationary talking-head videos like podcasts/interviews it seems like the mark i is fine and the mark ii wouldnt be a huge benefit
Yes I agree to that statement. the ZV-E10 will work for tripod use well and the ZV-E10 II for moving shots. Does that make sense?
@@thefilmalliance It does -- thanks!
Thanks for your video it does help me pick the right camera for a long term
Awesome video! What plugins do you use for editing? The two camera angles with your head shot? Video is great!
Thanks, we created those here in the studio
@@thefilmalliance Do you have a course or video for this?
Awesome compression thank you so much for it 😊 I was hoping that you make a movie about it and here it is 🎉 So fast, perfect timing
Thank you. Which camera did you end up liking more? the ZV-E10II or the ZV-E10?
We are glad for having waited so long to pull the trigger on the ev10 now that the upgrades were made on the ev10 ii like vertical view.
I had no idea Sony released a Mk2 version of this great little camera. Could be a very useful camera in many situations. Thx for the overview!
My pleasure. Which camera did you end up liking more? the ZV-E10II or the ZV-E10? I guess if budget is not an issue, I’m team ZV-E10 II
Nice thorough review! Who are the people editing behind you?
Thanks, those are our editors
Absolutely fantastic video. Thanks for the hard work you put into it!
Thank you man!
I'm a little scared about the absence of the ibis on the zve10 II, so i would like to know if the 400 extra of the a6700 are worth it
I know what you mean
Thanks, will you be filming moving objects? The ZV-E10 II may be better but we can work with the ZV-E10
@@thefilmalliance thanks for the swift response. yes, mostly contents like music virals, commercial videos and the likes.
As always, such valuable information. Great comparison!
That would be my next camera if it wasn't so expensive here in Sweden. I need to pick up one abroad... The camera has got everything I need.
Yes, I believe the ZV-E10II is the perfect camera as an Acam if you have a Osmo Pocket 3 or smartphone as your current b-cam.
I didnt see the lack of mechanical shutter in the photography section. Nice video tho❤
I interpreted your comment to mean that you didn't notice any drawbacks to not having a mechanical shutter in he ZV-E10 II when looking at the photography shots in this video. For street photography, a mechanical shutter won't affect the camera, except for capturing moving objects.
Should I trade my Sony a7sii for either of these cameras? I’m into vlogging and urban exploration. I’d like to know what you think.
good job. great comparison as usual, I think I'm gonna keep the old ZVE10 as a B-camera and use my Sony a7iv as A-Camera
I like that conclusion. Those are both great cameras, and I don't think you have any need to pick up the ZV-ZV-E10 II, but maybe reconsider in a few months when it hits the used market.
Hello, Joe! Could you make a video about cinematic mode and streaming, pls.🙈
And thanks for your work, it’s amazing!
This was incredibly useful, thank-you for your time and honesty✨💕
Underrated channel ❤
I was waiting for you to cover this!!! Thanks for the depth review and comparisons of both cameras. I actually sold my ZV-E10 anticipating that the Mark II will come out. What was left out on the previous version I’m happy to see on the Mark II. I actually have the SmallRig cage from the previous version of the camera. Will that cage fit the Mark II?
Hey, thanks, no I don’t think the old small rig cage will fit. They’re pretty different in body sizes
Hi Joe
I bought the ZVE10 and the Tamron 17-70 a few months ago absolutely love the step up from my ZV1 but after watching this youve got me looking at spending again to get a ZVE10ii body only to be my main and the ZVE10 as my second camera.
The only real question is "how much do you like jello?". If you love it, go for any of the previous gen 6000series, including the og zve10.
Good point. That jello effect is harsh in the ZV-E10 and much better with the ZV-E10II
Another huge reason to purchase a ZV-E10 is to use as a podcast camera, is there any difference between the 2 for podcasting feature purposes?
man, i feel so tempted. i can't always afford a camera but i need to save up for this one
Yes the ZV-E10 II is one I would save up for. The ZV-E10 is a good second choice though
Thx Joe for this video. You put a lot of work and passion in it and it shows.
Thanks Tim. Are you planing on purchasing the ZV-E10II?
Hi Joe no i will keep zv e10 version 1 and invest in beter glass instead of buying v2.
Would you consider zv e10 v2 VS Fujifilm xs 20 as close as the older zv e10 ? I am still considering shifting eco systems
Yes I could do that for sure
almost on all examples, from your pictures / videos, the E10 Mark II is killing the E10 ... unfortunately budget wise for me ... 😒😔Thanks for the great review
Great video ❤
Hi i want to buy a camera can u suggest which one is better camera with lens main purpose is for photography and videos when i travel.
I'm thinking to buy one from below options
Sony a6100y, a6400 and zve10 with kit lens of 16-50mm which one is best to buy.
It's on my website and I left a link in the description of my latest video.
what would you recommend between the zv-E10 and the zv1 II for someone creating content for barber shops, Restaurants and vlogging?
a video on the cinematic vlog setting is welcome!
Gotcha, I’ll be putting that in the roster. Thanks
Will your mark ii course be beginners friendly?
Ones with no experience with cameras.
Yes, I am spending a ton of time on the basics so you all can learn the "how" and "why."
ZV-E10 still is the best WFM for me. What about AF? Are they using the same system?
That's awesome. You know what is best for you. The AF in the ZV-E10II is better because it can focus on humans, animals and birds and has more autofocus points
Good video. Seems like a modest improvement. Honesty om thr intro with the waterfall i liked the original zve10 better than the mark ii. I wouldnt think it would be worth anyone upgrading. For someone like me who owns neither, im think go with thr cheaper one on sale or just pay more to go up a level or two to one of their higher series cameras. Thanks for posting. Enjoy yoir content.
Thanks. Yes it does have quite of few nice upgrades. You can wait for ZV-E10 II to hit the used market.
wow, zve-10 was ahead of its time - i see you rocken my same setup Tamron and the PolarPro filter @5:51 yew!
Cool, yes maybe I have to make sure I wasnt custom WB and locking in a warmer kelvin. Thanks for the reply!
I know it. Thanks for your input. I appreciate it
Plan to get this for video works. Perfect to pair it with my a6700
You refer to your upcoming ZV-E10 Mark ii course :) I look forward. Is it already here (somewhere), and can you help with a link, or is it still in production ?
Hi Jakob, its still in production. It should be ready in about a week. Thanks -Joe
I wonder if the market is going to be flooded with people trying to sell there ZV-E10 to buy the mark II. Im thinking about doing just that.
Great point. You can also wait for the ZV-E10 II to hit the used market.
I already have sigma 16mm 1.4 for streaming . Is the crop factor too much for this lens for vlog ? I dont want to get another lens, theyre so expensive
thank you very much for this huge effort video! The best comparison!
My pleasure, thanks for watching. So will you be preordering the ZV-E10II ?
This video help a lot for me😅 am waiting for this, will see .. when it will be available in india?? In usa available??
That’s great, it’s not available for pre-order yet. But it should be shortly.
Thanks for the best ZV-E10 II review 👌👍
Can the ZV-E10 II do recording directly to a USB-connected SSD ?
@@thefilmalliance hi there your quiz told me to get something else but that camera was a bit out of budget
Ok so that lens is good for wide lens? For vlogging? How abt the kit lens it comes with? Thank you

I'll was considering Pocket 3 but now I think Sony ZV E10 Mii would be a better option.

@@thefilmalliance
Well said!
Great point. You're enticing me to do an Osmo Pocket 3 vs ZV-E10 II video. haha
Amazing, in-depth review. Sony should be paying you big Benjamins for this!
Thanks, Dylan. It's not a promotion, though. I want you guys to be as well-informed on the ZV-E10II as possible.

@@thefilmalliance zve10 is fine for moving shots, especially with a gimble, zve 10 mark ii does not have ibis anyways
I have the original and I find it a great camera. Without IBIS it’s a no go for me on the series 2.
I hear ya, I agree the ZV-E10 is an amazing camera. I’ve had mine for almost 3 years and am still using it. But the ZV-E10II has better stabilization when handholding and walking.
I really don‘t get it why Sony didn’t put a dynamic stabilization into the ZV E10 Mark II. This is a must have for a vlogging cam.
Well, the stabilization they put in has been updated. Did you see the vlog test toward the end of the video? The ZV-E10II is not bad at all
@@thefilmalliance yes the stabilization looks much better than on the alpha 6700. I didn‘t know that they did an upgrade to the active stabilization.
Yes, and I think it’s way better. It’s close to gimbal like footage, but not quite there yet.
You recommended a cage. I want to build a rig on the new model. Will Mark 1 Smallrig cages work with that larger grip?
Which one should I buy as a beginner to help with a dog walking vlog
Every camera has its different use for different applications. Have you tried taking my camera quiz? This may get you in the right direction.
@@thefilmalliance I will do that thanks , from watching your vids though , I think I’m leaning on the new one. The easier menu is better for a beginner , and these menus get wild lol
I just want a 1080/60 livestream camera with USB-C with Rick solid AF. Can I get away with a used mk I EV-10?
I have a 6700 for client portraits and some video. I was waiting fo the zvE-10 M2 for a travel vlogging street camera. You think it's worth it?
DO it; the ZV-E10II is the perfect addition to your a6700
Dont they have the same sensor or am i just mislead?
Yes same sensor
I see. Thanks for the explanation. Do you photograph moving objects? Is that why it’s an issue with you?
@@thefilmalliance Funny enough, I mainly do astrophotography with long exposure and travel selfy, so it's not a big issue for me.
But I rarely shoot vidseos, so I don't want any compromise in still quality. That's why I bought ZV-E10, basically a better and cheaper a6400 without EVF, and will never consider "upgrade" to mark II.
I am planning to purchase either 6700 or e10 ii.. a comparison video would be helpful.
Ok that will be added to the queue

Great review. Thank you. 👍
Definitely, looking for a comparison to the a6700. By the way, Can this new ZV E10 ii shoot 10-bit Slog 3 in 1080p at 120 fps?
Okay will do. That’s a great question. It can shoot in s-log3 in 1080 but not sure if it reverts to 8 bit. Ill have to check when I get to shoot with it again
@@thefilmalliance Thank you! Will be waiting for the answer.
Hey Brad, Ok will do
Would like to see overheating comparison between a6700 a d zv-e10ii
Hey i was looking for a camera that serves a bit of filmmaking and talk head videos. Almost fixed zv e10, but then i read an article on google about mark ii getting launched. Great review and also now i'll preorder mark ii. Once again great breakdown and comparison of both the cameras.
Thank you, I think that is a great idea. The ZV-E10II exceeded my expectations while I had it.
Maybe it's just my dumb luck but my ZVE10 burned two sensors already just streaming and not even in 4K, so the new one generating even more heat sounds terrifying
