Bingo. IBIS was the main thing that was expected from Mark II as the more expensive cameras were getting it. Without IBIS, this is just a casual refresh that doesn't justify the added price. Almost half of the Mark I price added on top just for the 10-bit colour and 4k60 and the new UI that SHOULD BE BACKPORTED TO OLDER DEVICES as a software update. zv-e10ii has a gyro, which lets you do all sorts of stabilization in post. For video, that's a huge advantage. You don't always want to be lugging around a giant gimbal.

just because you own it dorsnt mean its great. Actually the 6500 is pretty old by now, even the 6400 is better aside from IBIS, let alone the 6600/6700.
Beginner question: Does Eye AF work with lenses that are not Sony? Is Eye AF just as good and precise with lenses from Sirui, Tamron, etc.? Is there anything specific to look for when purchasing a lens to ensure it is 100% compatible with Sony's Eye AF?
I think the main difference is that the a6400 is more focused on photo rather than video. This is a basically just an improved video and vlogging camera for a more affordable price but yes I think everything missing here can be found in the better a6700
If you can afford the mark II, just buy the a6700. Vs. Zv-e10 mark I, The mark II, losses the mechanical shutter, but gains the newer sensor that can do 4k60, 10bit HDR, less rolling shutter, can preview luts in camera. 10bit isn't worth it for TH-cam, what you need is stabilisation which this camera doesn't have. Overkill for Zoom calls, I know.
Gerald Undone said it would overheat after 22 mins at 4k 60fps in ideal conditions (indoors). The overheating is currently the only issue for me to not buy that camera and you are telling me it doesn´t overheat. I´m so confused now
How about a comparison between the MK1 and MK2 16-50? your second rant was about no ibis and no new OSS lenses but the zv-e10 II comes with a new OSS II 16-50 lens? would be nice to see a comparison as no review yet has really mentioned it! :D
The Mark ii is completely changed from the baby ZVE10, the new grip, bigger battery, fulltouch display, more practical features and lot more, the older model was super powerful too instead of just vlogging, the Mark ii will be a powerhouse and upgrade on the previous e10💪🏻❤️🔥
I have owned the A6700 for 3 months I am happy with it has all my needs. Anyway, I was curious of the ZV-10 II as I expected the price the features are improved 10bitt, 4k60 but without IBS, Shutter dials, and no mechanic shutter. I knew, they limited the ZV line because, if it has all the features you should probably pay more than the normal. The ZV-E II is a good camera for new beginners for making films, photos, and vlogs. I'm not a vlog guy but if you wanna vlog In my opinion use the DJI 3 wide lens, easy to carry around.
@JasonVong just thinking when it comes to ibis yet it may seem like a huge downside for a vlogging camera not to have its own stabilisation mechanism inside the body maybe the tech team and engineers considered that more and more people would be using a very compact gimbal anyways?
The square frame that appears on older Sony cameras during clear image zoom is to indicate that it can’t do tracking auto focus anymore. That’s what I thought anyway.
no mechanical shutter is a dealbreaker for still photography with most led lighting. I found that banding with the old zv-e10 went away when i turned off electronic and silent shutter. i use the first version with adapted vintage lenses and a focal booster to get (almost) full-frame field of view as an excellent budget still camera that does great video. There were compromises for a $6-700 camera, mostly with the options and ui, but this new version with electronic shutter only would be a downgrade for me as a mostly still photographer who does some video.
Only issue is overheating. If you only shoot short 4k60 clips (less than 15min) then it's a fine camera. Stabilization is good enough even if it's software only.
Bought the ZV-E10 two days ago before realising the II is releasing soon! Thanks for this video. I create mostly fitness content and talking head reels. Very new to the camera world, I got myself a Sigma 30mm f1.4 lens, I was wondering what you recommended as a tripod for mostly gym/fitness content and if I should stick to only prime lens or should I get a zoom lens?
For stabilization I use a high end gimbal stabilizer mount. Advantage that I can transfer to my other cameras (or even my phone with an adapter). Now excuse, me it's waaay past my nap time. I am 68 years old and need my nap time.
This camera is targeted towards entry level streaming. In that term, its an amazing upgrade. Apart from overheating issues with Gen 1 cameras, the Mini-HDMI connector is notoriously fragile on Sony cameras, which led to constant disconnects. Would have wished to see a segment how the USB-C cable has fixed this
No IBIS / low crop EIS is a massive deal breaker if you're shooting 10 bit since catalyst browse doesn't allow exporting 10 bit. Would need to pay for catalyst prepare

unless the $400 difference is a big deal for you, i dont think theres a compelling reason to not get the a6700 over this unfortunately without ibis /:
I wonder if this is better than the FX 30?
2:22 surely this could be fixed with a firmware update?
If it had the ai chip with ibis this would easily be my favorite camera. Zv-e1 auto disqualified for having 12mp
i was waiting for this to be my camera i learn on, but ill probably just buy the A6700 and wait for mark 3 hopefully with ibis and a viewfinder
What’s the point of a viewfinder when you have a screen?
EVF is incredibly helpful out in a bright sunny day. Can't see the screen even with Sunny Weather Brightness turned on
Gerald Undone said it would overheat after 22 mins at 4k 60fps in ideal conditions (indoors). The overheating is currently the only issue for me to not buy that camera and you are telling me it doesn´t overheat. I´m so confused now
I have the 6700 and that zoom rocker is an on off and inside my bag it always turns on and drains battery and overheats by the time i realize it
How about a comparison between the MK1 and MK2 16-50? your second rant was about no ibis and no new OSS lenses but the zv-e10 II comes with a new OSS II 16-50 lens? would be nice to see a comparison as no review yet has really mentioned it!
What sensor does it have?
And what about the A6700 Overheating ????
You can wrong..love that slogan sir love it enjoyed your video have a great rest of your day... lol THERES NO IBIS i needee that laugh
Would have wished to see a segment how the USB-C cable has fixed this
but when using a gimbal - i dont care it its oss or not, or do i?!?
WHEN WILL WE GET CAMERA WITH 10 YEAR SOFTWARE UPDATES
No IBIS / low crop EIS is a massive deal breaker if you're shooting 10 bit since catalyst browse doesn't allow exporting 10 bit. Would need to pay for catalyst prepare
Why are you using 30fps now?
Bro, Pls compare this with your favorite A6700
