Since everything was so experimental and unique compared to the WWII weaponry we always see (PPSH, MG42, Thompson, STG, Kar98K, Grease Gun, Sten, etc.) It was a breath of fresh air

Imo, bf1's operation mode is the best 'push game mode' among games. The theme, the map designs, the sound effects and atmospheric. It's perfectly balance and fit
Yeah BF1 had the perfect combo of atmosphere, level design and a sense of survivability (not like the one-shot instant death that the newer games have) - but more importantly it was FUN. I've played the 2042 technical session and I'm totally underwhelmed - yeah, it's got good level design, but it's souless, too many instant deaths and instantly forgettable - it ain't no BF1!
Thanks for pointing that out. I think Jack is making a statement with this video. They need to create the same atmosphere or 2042 won't do well. The main reason BF5 failed was because it was too bright and the lighting was just terrible. I am seeing the same shit in BF2042, they could at least make the environment a bit more dark and gritty

This was my first Battlefield game and its my favourite, i genuinely think DICE is never going to top this game. I've played BF4 which lots of people say is the best but i honestly don't think its that great, its good but nowhere near as good as BF1.
Doesn't even need to be WW1, this game, clearly had incredibly talented people working on it, who poured everything into it. I'm sure BF2042 will be fun, but even from we've seen I don't think it's even going to compare to this.

It's had the longest development time with multiple studios working on it at the same time, whereas BFV had the least development time and was rushed. It wasn't supposed to release when it did, it was planned for later, but higher ups decided it would be better to release sooner.

Downloaded BF1 because it’s in the PSPlus collection on PS5. Man, does it feel good playing Battlefield again. Haven’t played since the January after 5 launched. Having a blast, plus In The Name of the Tsar is currently free on PlayStation!
BF1 just did so much right. It was a gorgeous game. So much atmosphere. It felt raw & gritty. Gameplay was fun. I have so many memories of epic battles on Frontlines as well. Truly an epic game.
Somehow I just can't see a way how the new bf is going to live up to the atmosphere of bf1. The sounds, the visuals, the grittiness. That's mostly what's keeping me from feeling hyped for 2042.

That 'KECHING' ping when you get a kill is nostalgic beyond words. Loved sniping on this game for that alone. Made a change to the modern era battlefields, layering prone bodied wondering if you got the kill off

The sound design in BF1 is SO GOOD! The stationary weapons are so good. Jack, you should really play on the LEB server. It has 200% damage and more importantly, standard issue rifles. Its so satisfying

Just got into the game 2 days ago, i played the beta, but never continued moving forwared, i was missing out, having tons of fun and so glad to see dozens of full servers with 50 ping, having a blast playing with some mates.
I loved sniping in this game. The physics were fantastic and popping heads was SOOOO satisfying. Also the physics really made each rifle very unique and depending on your play style they really all could be great in a particular player's hands.
Isn't it weird that it's an pre alpha or alpha and not even in a beta stage yet? So graphics and other things will be turned down low (and I assume at their lowest?)

I can honestly say I actually remember the first time I played an operation in bf1. It was one fo the first play sessions when bf1 came out. St Quentin scar. Probably everyone in the lobby’s fist operation. So we played as closes as we ever were going to how dice anticipated. Running through the trenches. Laying down being scared to move for a couple moments with new friend I had met. Closest a video game ever got to a war simulator

I loved sniping in this game. The physics were fantastic and popping heads was SOOOO satisfying. Also the physics really made each rifle very unique and depending on your play style they really all could be great in a particular player's hands.
I enjoy all of your videos becuase of your personality, but in terms of the games themselves this is the only game I enjoy watching you play

Isn't it weird that it's an pre alpha or alpha and not even in a beta stage yet? So graphics and other things will be turned down low (and I assume at their lowest?)

Battlefield one had the most realistic atmosphere of war more than any other game !! It was so evocative and stirring. I was a massive fan of forest!
I can honestly say I actually remember the first time I played an operation in bf1. It was one fo the first play sessions when bf1 came out. St Quentin scar. Probably everyone in the lobby’s fist operation. So we played as closes as we ever were going to how dice anticipated. Running through the trenches. Laying down being scared to move for a couple moments with new friend I had met. Closest a video game ever got to a war simulator
This was my first battlefield game and I loved it
