One design aspect I always loved about BF1 that I think was erroneously lost in later BF games was that you could tell what class an enemy plays was from just a quick glance: Assault was barebones, Medics had crutches, Supports had big backpacks and Recons had either long coats or ponchos. Along with restricting specific weapon types to specific classes you allowed the player to quickly gauge how much of threat an incoming player was very quickly and concisely. With 2042 that seems to have been completely lost.
I still play it to this day. This game is just so full of fun and joy. P.s my favourite weapon of all has to be the MG15n.a low weight the sound of that gun firing is music to my ears
The random bullet deviation allowed all of the weapons to be viable. For a WWI era game the automatic weapons would have been far too OP without it. I think it was balanced beautifully with the RBD and even with the Sweet Spot sniper mechanic too. I always felt able to go a whole round with just one gun from the start if I wanted, any gun, even secondaries and shotguns! BF1 rocks!

Every now and then I revisit. Can’t ever completely leave this game alone. Besides random bullet deviation (dumbest shit for a shooting game ever) this game will go down in history. Most atmospheric multiplayer game I’ve ever played.
A war game where you feel like you're at war, but can also make great video game plays. It struck the balance just perfect. Classes has great identity and playstyles. I love it and still play regularly. Never did go for the peacekeeper tho....
The timeline of BF3/4, the aesthetics and weapon design along with heavy kits of BF1, the V1 rocket of BF5 and the memory of never repeating BF2042 ever again. Combine all that and that would be a good BF game imo.
I played battlefield 4 after cod mw2 today and... Homestly The graphics were so good i was shocked how a game from long ago looked better than a new one with "modern technologies", and i loved how it played, everything felt balanced everything was great and there was destructability, i also loved the time to kill, it was a few shots, and it was better than mw2 cuz both newbies and prod could kill, as it only took a few hits, and takedowns that simply happened whenever u hit a enemy up close, unlike in mw2 where you have to get behind a enemy and probably die by some other dude who came by And then i also played 2042, "thats just cod but slower, and bigger (and bigger in not good way) The game mostly became cod but, you had enormous maps, which were a bad decision in my opinion cuz u were still slow as hell tho the game seemingly tried to make faster pace, time to kill was kinda the same but everyone got kinda spongier, as i explained it "the time to kill is kinda the same, but its not as fun now" (plus you need to get behind someone to takedown like cod) So i deleted the game rather quick Tomorow ill download battlefield 1 cuz... Bf4 is just too dead online wise
I love battlefield 1,it's one of my all time favs. I'm playing on the ps4 but it's very hard to find any servers (for days) sometimes. I have to wait till the weekend comes, but also than i can't find servers everytime sadly.
I wish it wasn't so frickin hard to unlock guns bc only good players still play so it's hard to unlock them because they usually require you to use certain guns or do certain things to unlock them
Battlefield 4's gameplay + Battlefield 1's atmosphere, graphics and sound design (and a bit of MW's gunplay) = The perfect Battlefield experience imo It would be that simple for me honestly...
The one thing I loved most of this game is artillary. I LOVED everytime I was able to get to a cannon and spam against the frontline. Maybe isn't fair, but this is war after all.

I was a call of duty kid in 2016-17. My best friend bought the game and wanted me to try it. I refused. It wasn't call of duty, so I wouldn't. He convinced me to at least watch the opening campaign mission (Harlem hell fighters) and I immediately fell in love. No call of duty could be that immersive and still play so well. Long live battlefield 1!
I go on a splurge playing this game for days on end and then i take like a month off multiple times. When I comeback its still a live game which says a-lot about the community. I absolutely love this game
Battlefield One do be a Cinematic Masterpiece, you can play a single game of Conquest and felt like you've seen the most epic and traumatising movie on WW1 ever, it's so great.
That martini Henry looks pretty fun to use. It is also very fun in Hunt Showdown, speaking of Hunt you should really give it a try! It would be a fun vid!

The one critique I still give BF1 is the weapon variant system. Dice could have added quite few more weapons instead of coming up with 2 or 3 variants for the same weapon along with an attachment system. I know some people will say "but its WWI". There was actually quite a few attachments in the game locked on certain variants, Bipods, monopods, 3x and 6x scopes, glass optics, 1x sights, barrels, magazines, brakes, suppressors along with unique attachments for certain weapons. You didn't 3 different variants of the M1903 Springfield to have a Pederson Device or 3 different variants of the MP-18 or M1907 SL for selective fire. K Bullets could have been an attachment for snipers instead of a gadget and put in an auxiliary attachment spot along with the bipod, monopod, Pederson Device (Springfield only) and different bolts.

The M1917 Trench Carbine is very underrated. Such a great gun with a big magazine.
Some sad news. Battlefield BC1, BC2, and bf1943 are all being shutdown this December. Not just consoles. BC2 on PC as well.
