If you’re new to my channel, my name is Alex Hormozi. I’m the founder and managing partner of Acquisition.com. It’s a family office, which is just a formal way of saying we invest our own money into companies. Our 10 portfolio companies bring in over $200,000,000+ per year. Our ownership stake varies between 20% and 100% of them. Given this is a YT channel, and anyone can claim anything, I’ll give you some stuff you can google to verify below.
How I got here…
21: Graduated Vanderbitl in 3 years Magna Cum Laude, and took a fancy consulting job.
23 yrs old: Left my fancy consulting job to start a business (a gym).
24 yrs old: Opened 5 gym locations.
26 yrs old: Closed down 6th gym. Lost everything.
26 yrs old: Got back to launching gyms (launched 33). Then, lost everything for a 2nd time.
26 yrs old: In desperation, started licensing model as a hail mary. It worked.
27 yrs old: "Gym Launch" does $3M profit the next 6 months. Then $17M profit next 12 months.
28 yrs old: Started Prestige Labs. $20M the first year.
29 yrs old: Launched ALAN, a software company for agencies to work leads for customers. Scaled to $1.7mmo within 6 months.
31 yrs old: Sold 75% of UseAlan to a strategic buyer in an all stock deal.
31 yrs old: Sold 66% of Gym Launch & Prestige Labs at $46.2M valuation in all-cash deal to American Pacific Group. (you can google it)
31 yrs old: Started our family office Acquisition.com. We invest and scale companies using the $42M in distributions we had taken + the cash from the $46.2M exit.
32 yrs old: Started making free content showing how we grow companies to make real business education accessible to everyone (and) to attract business owners to invest or scale their businesses.
34 yrs old: I became co-owner of Skool.com to help the many people who want to start a business online do so.
Today: Our portfolio now does $200M/yr between 10 companies. The largest doing $100M/yr the smallest doing $5M per year. Our ownership varies between 20% and 100% ownership of the companies. Many of them we invested in early and helped grow (which is how we make our money - not youtube videos).
To all the gladiators in the arena, we’re all in the middle of writing our own stories. The worse the monsters, the more epic the story.
You either get an epic outcome or an epic story. Both mean you win.

Absolute gold. For an entrepreneur, you've condensed years of learning into 55 min. Ivy League business schools do not teach this at all. They teach theory from professors who have not ventured out into the marketplace for the most part. Thanks for sharing -- will definitely be rewatching many times.
This is one of those videos that, not only is it incredible that its free, but even being an hour long it feels too short. Very valuable information. Loved the frameworks & the parts of identifying bottlenecks

That's very practical and smart goal, a wise man once said do everything you can to get outta debt, one of his tips to getting rich
Just do the right thing, by trading with an expert, I trust me you will be a millionaire and debt free
You don't make money on forex or crypto by holding your coins rather you trade to make gain.

I just graduated from a university with a double major in Marketing and Philosophy. Going through some hard times right now. So often so many business masterclasses are watched are packed with fallacies pushed by fake personalities with fake stories. This was a truly invigorating experience - this is real. All of this stuff exists on a continuum, it’s not binary. The thing that’s stuck with me the most from Alex is really just that all you need to do is gain the right skills, beliefs and character traits and you will succeed

It's so true. A large part of success is personal growth. That's why lottery winners are broke within a few years. Their bank account changed but they didn't, so their bank ended back up where it should to reflect their behaviors.

The rich are money minded. That is one thing I learnt from the start. I have always wanted to build wealth. I have set out $167k that I had been saving since 2020, and I want to put it in the stock market so I can grow my wealth. Any recommendations?
It is really good that you do. I know a lot of people who have made a lot from the stock market. But you need to spend a lot of time studying the market if you want to be a pro, or you use a stock advisor who really knows what they are doing.
For real, people underestimate how much they can rake in from the stock market. Started with $127k just before the pandemic hit. Many people's portfolios tanked, but I rode through with my financial advisor, and even made more than $86k within just five months of starting, and it's been an awesome ride since then.

The adviser I'm in touch with is ‘Helene Claire Johnson'. His strategy works hence my result. he provides entry and exit point for the securities I focus on.

I run my own photography business and this video was very inspiring. I have felt very stagnant recently and realized I just need to keep moving forward. I haven't made a million dollars yet so, I got a ways to go. The fact that you also own a photography chain doing 1.1mil a month! INSANE. I'll be there soon too though!

This video was divine. You clearly articulated in the most logical way everything I have been feeling for the last 3 years. Step by step I have discovered some of this understanding through trial and error but if I could have only seen this video 3 years ago I would be so far ahead now!!! Thank you for helping me better understand my limitations. I cannot tell you how many times I have been around others much more successful than me knowing I have a stronger conviction (belief) and greater (skills) but I was lacking one major thing. At a ripe young age I feel myself leaning towards this path more than ever. I haven't really got my feet wet in becoming an entrepreneur yet and I find myself stuck at the how part of it all. With little to no money in this current economy it seems to be tough to scale a business at the moment. I took a valuable lesson from this on longevity, I was so set on the get rich quick scheme just like everyone else because it seems to be shoved in everyone's faces. Obviously I learned that is definitely now the case, in most cases i feel like getting rich quick is fate with a little bit of self luck. Learned a lot from this and as I continue on my journey from this simple life to the top is to wish and hope that everyone fulfills their dreams and never ever give up.
I recently discovered Alex while on my first vacation in many years. I spent many hours in a sauna listening to his business videos. I was so blown away and impressed. Literally the day I got back I made drastic changes to my real estate team on its 3 year anniversary. His videos highlighted the vulnerabilities in continually starting new businesses and he lays out clear, concise logic on why. I’m excited to see how I can use what he teaches and eventually help others in the same way.
Hands down best channel that doesn’t try and sell you anything besides himself and power of knowledge. I’m glad I found this channel, I’m hooked and can’t stop watching all the videos.

Alex: I think I can speak for everyone here when I say that I am grateful for everything you've created, contributed and shared with your clients and in turn, for us as well. I remember MANY years ago being targeted by your Gym Launch ads (I had a gym back then) and I was so skeptical of you.
It was an insecurity and limited thinking, ironically that same thinking was baked-in to how I ran my own gym.
Now? - I thank you for exposing and expanding my beliefs over the past year. The amount of knowledge (that follows with application) that you and Leila passed on to us with these videos is something that I feel guilty for watching for free every single time a new one is released.

Dude! I've learned most of everything I know how to do on youtube. Sell homes, sand a table, Paint, stain, shave, Tie a tie, change a tire, jumpstart a car, change oil, code. A whole bunch of other "extra-curriculum" activities (when I was young) this is the greatest video on this platform ever!
