My gosh, I'd love it if they made a Douay Rheims version with the deuterocanonicals or an RSV.... so beautiful... I love the art mostly. Gustave Dore... I hope to someday draw as well as him. Only through God and hard work could that ever happen xD

How many Gustave Dore’ illustrations are there? I wonder if it is 221 or the whole 241. I have a Humble Lamb Bible which has 66 illustrations.

Is it a leatherbound?
@@LaggingLeland Not leather. The cover is a hardcover with the beautiful cross on it. If you got it leather bound, it would definitely be an heirloom

@@KitchenCounterCrafts Yep! It's a really nice Bible, though, but that's a deal breaker. I ended up going on ebay and found a Like New, Windsor bible, white leather bound, red lettering KJV with old masters illustrations for like $15 shipped
It’s a beautiful bible, I bought it for my own personal study. I could do without the illustrations though, they add two-hundred pages extra. I wish the Catholic Church would use KJV.
I’m so glad you got it and I really appreciate you watching!💗 I can see how the illustrations add a lot more bulk… but aren’t they magnificent??? I can sit there and just look at the details. They are a useful tool for memory and locating scripture in the Bible- especially for those who might be new to Bible study.

You made me double check!😅 if you go to the video, you can see the Table of Contents- no apocrypha
Why wouldn’t you want the apocrypha to be included? It’s an extra batch of books that you can learn a lot from.
@@LaggingLeland They Shouldn't be in the Bible because they aren't considered to be scripture. So what you learn from them might be false teachings. Stick to the 66 books every denomination agrees on.
@@mrkoolaid8728 I’m not even trying to be rude but Catholic and Orthodox consider them canon, they are two of the original Churches and they consists of over a billion combined Christian’s
@@LaggingLeland There is over 2 billion Muslims just cause a lot of people acknowledge something doesn't mean they are right. They don't believe in Sola scriptura they hold to traditional over the word. Which is why they have different cannons cause they accepted different books in those traditions. The other books aren't accepted because they were written outside of the cannon timeline after the old testament but before the return of Christ. Also some of the books that are regarded as apocrypha contradict other parts of the Bible, the Bible doesn't contradict itself which helps to show it isn't truly scripture.

@@KitchenCounterCrafts I been looking into buying the 1611 version and I finally ordered this exact Bible thank you for this video I’m so excited for it to get here I been also looking into studying the apocrypha it was one of the books removed from the Bible I know a lot of the King James Versions have it I just have been struggling to find one with it
