Laptops and PC's both have similar problems so i recommend buying a special voice mod piece that has an aux cord slot in it.

I've used voice mod for ages with out a problem, plus I dont think twitch would allow a plugin for voice mod on twitch if it was harmful to the user

@@dejan1995 Code is what developers use to program software. It's then compiled and translated into binary for the computer to understand what to do. It's what makes software do certain things. It's pretty neat.
@Void Strike MEDIA It's not malware. I just find it odd that some applications run code when you're uninstalling it so it can take you to their website or make you take a survey. That's why you should be careful with what you download onto your computer. In this case, you're okay. Just look up some tutorials.

@@andresleon8892 Of course. If you want to meet on Discord or something, I can help you through it. The reason it still used your mic after closing the window is because, by default, closing the window only minimizes it to the tray like Discord. You have to go in the settings and turn that setting off.

Thanks, the reason I was skeptical of this was because my computer was constantly slowing down and taking a while with everything.
It’s probably cos it runs in the background, otherwise you would need to open it every time you want to have it working.

why does my sound disappears when i download voice mod, but if i uninstall it it appears again, can you tell me what's wrong?
If you want to use voicemod in skype or discord, you should go to the settings -> sound -> microphone output -> and select voicemod.
Also you may have lost the sound because in voicemod you chose dynamics instead of a microphone

@@Lveky oh you just uh, go to sound and then put your headset/speakers as default, thats it just click on the sound and put your speakers/headphones

It worked but when I took out my headphones that has a mic on it it started doing a static noise, I put it on mute, tried to find the files, deleted it, it took almost an hour cause I think it slowed down everything, plus it was on my first laptop so I was so scared

This happened to me. Voice mod has a Twitter and they mentioned this. They have an update link that fixed it for me on their post.
It’s cause they have it a huge update and couldn’t instal it on its own you need to do it manually

I downloaded it and it was glitchy so I deleted it but even though its deleted it still has the ear rape voice effect and I cant get rid of it.
delete your microphone driver than restart it
i updated it and so when it opens now it makes a really loud noise even when my computers on mute. and voicemod automatically opens when i open my computer so i don’t know what to do

You have to turn off open on startup in task manager, there will be a tab in task manager that says "startup", go to voice mod and disable the open on startup function. Hopefully, this helps with that.

It seems to take a lot of information and send it off even if you've paid for it.
But is this why I don't hear anything anymore on my laptop, because I can't hear it right now?

I got voice mod and my games kept crashing whenever I played on them and they never crashed before, and I also got many "protected u from a suspicious program" notification. It didnt happen to my friends, but I dont rlly trust voicemod anymore.....
You most likely downloaded a fake voicemod.
2 things
1 cpu can't handle the load
2 your virus protection was flagged because the software is constantly monitoring your microphone. Just tell your virus protection to shut it lol. Unless it says quarantined ur fine
I deleted it and got it again and it isn't doing that again, but I used a link that my friends sent me so I think they accidentally sent me the wrong thing 😅

Hey, the same things happening to me. My pc mic doesnt work anymore. Anybody here know how to fix?
@@species. I had the same issue. I fixed it by troubleshooting the microphone settings. Windows then said that there was a file that was deleted and that it was now replaced. After that my mic worked again. If this doesn't work then search it up on Windows support, there could be another fix there.

oh thats because when u install voice mod it extracts some driver things to ur speaker + mic to change voice when yours extracted it got bugged, boom speakers gg

@@lightwork_17 it's been two months since u wrote that comment and you got no replies. It means that voicemod slowly took over Dylan Ting's PC and is now controlling it all. He probably has no access to the PC, since possibly voicemod doesn't let him open it. Voicemod was made smartly and it can operate when the PC is shut down and closed. It is possible that the virus wouldn't show in the first days and attack later on, so you'd think it's just a fun little voice changer app.

Open your task manager by pressing crtl+shift+esc and if its actually running youll be able to see it and you can just press end task. try that. :)
This does not give info for is this a mouse control virus. This app opens up at boot. And kills your cursor controls

I used a burner laptop to test out clownfish (I know this is not the same voice changer but it is still a voice changer) and I had the exact same issue. What I did was go to my microphone settings and troubleshoot it. Windows then said that there was a file that was deleted and has now been replaced. After this I restarted it and it was fine. If this doesn't work then go and search it up on Windows support, there may be another solution there.
My little brother downloaded it and it ruined his audio. After completely removing it from his pc it got a tad bit better. This was last year. Haven’t downloaded it since and I’m still kinda sceptical about it

For anyone reading this now thinking about installing this program, DON’T. It completely destroyed my laptop’s audio drivers and uninstalling the application did not fix it.

i think that voice mod can be a hazard to work laptops (non gaming laptops) but in some cases just all laptops. you probably need a good pc, i use voicemod on my pc and i haven't had any problems with it. the only weird thing i noticed was that if i have "hear myself" enabled, and then close voicemod i can still hear myself. i just reopen voicemod, disable "hear myself" and then close it again and everything is okay. also, does anyone know how the subscriptions work? i want to buy the 3 euro every 3 months subscription (cheapest option) but then cancel my renewal after. i only seen that the way to do it is go to voicemods feedback, but does it rlly work?? 😓😓
The reason why you can still hear yourself is because you have to go into task manager and end the task(I think) thats normaling how you close apps running in the background. I don't have the app so I can't say, debating on getting it
the reason you can still hear yourself is because clicking the X minimizes it to system tray. just click the carrot icon ( ^ ) in the bottom of your taskbar and right click voicemod > toggle hear myself or you can click exit to fully close it.

To anyone wondering, yes it is a virus. It gave my sister 3 TROJANS AND SLOWED HER PC DOWN. We couldn't delete voicemod so we had to reset her whole pc deleting all files.

There is no viruses on the website, though the files that you can download have viruses.

@@prsnble popular clients like impact and future are proven to be safe. There are also open source clients like salhack where you can check the code yourself and see that it is safe. However I'm not saying all clients are safe. Some clients that are not open source have backdoors.
