    Ahhh Gabor ! The man I call the "gentle genius" Thank you . Only a man that has suffered deeply can truly understand the suffering of others. Xx

      He is not a genius, but far from stupid. What he did in a nutshell is put the works of psychologists and other experts together and claim they're his own. This is, of course fraudulent, alas legal. TH-cam is replete with "fake experts."

    Wow - Dr Gabor - Plans in your schedule for venturing the Bay Area of California?
    Read all your books, helped me to understand me, my family, friends and intragenerational traumas with family members and relatives.
    I am 60 and Native American, so lots of big and little T's in the family mix. Working on my traumas, but some members of my family and friends are either addicted of auto immune illnesses. I have escaped that so far....especially with diabetes of which all my relatives suffer.
    Just thank you for all you do and I will never give up on me, myself & I ❤
    All the best, Janelle

    There are Three (3) issues I would like Dr. Gabor Mate talk about.
    1. I have two ADULT sons who are estranged to each other. Thou I know I may have sadness in my heart due to a want to be all together. I find it hard to not be effected by it.
    2. I develope Essential Head tremors (unconscious involuntary head shaking) when emotionally overwhelmed. This proves mind-body are one. Would TRE exercises help?
    3. Lastly I too like many would like to hear you talk about scarcity mindset or money / financial trauma.
    Something I know Dr. Mate has not personsonally experienced as I heard from him say so on one of he's youtube videos😢

    Thanks for honoring free speech.
    Early trauma occurred in far too many children ... that were taught that an evil devil and demons exist to infiltrate human "souls" ... and that those wicked evil "souls" will suffer for eternity in a supposed afterlife. .
    Gabor is an Atheist ... and from my perception ... he would do a "world of good" by making plain that religion caused and causes horrendous mental problems ... starting in childhood and dragging people down through the rest of their lives.
    From the book Suicidal: Why We Kill Ourselves … author Jesse Bering.
    "Unless you’ve been there yourself, you’ve no idea the balm such a thing can offer to a secretly suicidal soul who, his whole life long had been laboring under the unlikely premise that he had a soul to begin with.
    What a burden! Without a soul, there’s no afterlife, there’s only the theater of the now."

    Meditation, working out, healthy diet, walking in the nature etc... can help temporary, but in the end the darkness won't let you go just like that. It is continuos struggle every single day.

    What I don't understand about Gabor's insistence on trauma is that according to himself he experienced trauma but he still had an amazing life. Look at how healthy he is at 80 years old. So who cares if you've experienced trauma, just live.

    • @DanielBepunkt
      @DanielBepunkt หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You have not recognized the content of his talk. Trauma isn't something you can deal with how you want... One thing seems obvious: You never experienced trauma by yourself. I hope so. Or, the worse: You have experienced it and are so full of fear that you suppress it. 🙏

    • @hablabamosa
      @hablabamosa หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@DanielBepunkt How do you define trauma and how does it appear ?

    • @DanielBepunkt
      @DanielBepunkt หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@hablabamosa I don't have a definition. But trauma means that you couldn't handle a situation and it got stuck. You could not flight or fight in that situation. It was overwhelming. So there was only one way to survive: freeze. And if you get triggered in your later life you automatically freeze. That is what your subconsciousness has learned, your bodily reaction. You have no control over it. The body reacts before you get conscious of it. That is necessary in a threat to life: no time for thinking about it. And in the later life the learned pattern reacts automatically because the body has learned: This way I was successful, I survived. 🙏

      I am a student of Compassionate Inquiry and have listened to hours and hours of Dr. Mate. He has done a massive amount of work on himself and has learned to be completely authentic in his curiosity and courage. This journey is not just as simple as "just live and I know you have that belief, however, the only way I have observed now working with people with trauma for years and years, decades and decades, is getting the wise accompaniment through the heart of our childhood traumas in order to be able to just live. Be well

    • @VALiantiosous
      @VALiantiosous หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      "just live" is not an easy thing for those of use who are traumatized. even the most basic acts of simply living are incredibly hard. be grateful you don't understand this. even though from the outside he has lived an amazing life, you do not know about his daily struggles. you don not know about every year or decade of his life. you don't know what he has sacrificed due to his trauma.

    The animal we inhabit needs an owners manual. Jesus and God are a pathetic attempt at what this animal actually needs to survive/evolve. Either we evolve or de-evolution will consume us.

    Why did God ask Adam and Eve in the garden where they were If He is supposed to be omnicient?
    Did he not know? Of course He did. He was opening up the lines of communication and giving them opportunity to be honest with Him and themselves because He knew that their heart condition was to hide from the truth after they felt the shame from their choice to follow the path of death. The question remains for all today. Where are you? Why are you hiding?
