What'd that thing weigh? A couple of tons? I think that thing had lead inside The Mac that lady picked up in the video probably had its insides taken out so she could pick it up and carry it!
Why do you say "This didn't age well"? Microsoft has been one of the top software publishers of Macintosh software since the Macs inception. A large percentage of their retail sales is Macintosh software.
I can see we are in the same age boat. What I meant was, what alot of people forget, Gates use to work for Jobs. Pre Apple vs MAC. That was my only inference.
@@wll1500 Yes, the original Macs were both overrated "for the time" AND they haven't aged well. Give the teenaged 80s me an Apple GS and I'd be much happier than I would with one of those tiny monochrome screens...
It was a long time ago compadre, they all sucked compared to today. What was a better option at the time exactly?? A Radio Shack computer? Why would a computer from the 80s age well???
@@scotthughes7440 If you had read my post Hijo(since you apparently like to throw Spanish words around), you would see I brought up the Apple II GS. Outside of Apple, you had the Amiga or the Atari ST all for much less than the $2500 Apple was trying to sell the original tiny screened monochrome Mac for. But some computers do age better than others and the Mac 128k didn't age well at all...
It's crazy to think I am using an old Macbook that's 10000x more powerful than that as a dinner tray.
I know right. Tech sure has grown in such a small time period. Imagine where we could be a year from now.
When you’re ready to travel, it can “easily” go along. 😅

@@sayyedal-afghani The guts of the CRT monitor certainly were removed. That’s the heaviest part of an old Mac. 😌
I remember like 20 floppy discs to install Pagemaker
I know right!
Best part is the lady riding her bike in the middle of car traffic with her beloved macintosh in the basket
There was room for the manual as well.
Always nice to have your manual at hand.
I know: I always read the EULA
Gates looks like he was 12 in this video, I kept waiting for his mom to show up.

A lot of nice aquariums were made from these things.
I love my MacBook Air but the original Macs were very overrated.
Facts
not for the time
