Fun fact: Before Windows, Microsoft made an office suite for Macintosh taking advantage of the new GUI. So you can say that MS Office is older than Windows itself.
Even at the time, IBM PC had the advantage over the Macintosh. IBM PC: 1) Bigger size removable monitor. 2) Expansion card add-on capability. 3) RAM removable and upgradable. 4) Internal HDD storage. 5) Tons of 3rd party software support. Apple Macintosh: 1) Single size tiny 9" non-removable built-in monitor. 2) No expansion card add-on capability. 3) RAM is not removable or upgradable. 4) No internal HDD storage just only a single 400k remy floppy disk for storage. 5) No 3rd party software.

1:37 what they don't tell you is that the Mac has no hard drive, no storage capability, only has black and white graphics and you can't upgrade it. IBM is upgradable, expandable, has actual graphics and a lot of software
Because the Apple Macintosh had no internal HDD, you needed to have a 400k floppy disk in it just to boot up. On the other hand, you could turn on your IBM PC, and because it had a built-in HDD, it would boot up without having to use a floppy disk.
The computer itself was ... not the best at the time, not even close. The Operating system, however, now this is where a revolution starts.
