Great info! I had one like the longest extension a while back. Thing was so good that one of my so-called buddies didn't return it after he borrowed some of my cameras.
I haven't noticed any wind noise from them, the lattice design does a good job at cutting through the wind. I have not had any come loose, and the kit comes with a wrench that helps really torque them down. Even just tightened by hand I've only had the longest extension slip a little on me, and after cinching it down it stayed put.
Good review man!! You covered everything pretty well, but I do have a question. The people who use the plastic version of these have very wobbly footage and honestly it's kind of annoying to look at. Do you find the same issue with these?
I only ran into gittery footage when I had the longer extensions on a mount that wasn't very rigid. For example the longest extension is 25cm, and on my GSXR's mirror mount the video had some pretty gittery moments when I hit rough patches of road. When I had the longest extension going into a short mount stuck to my gas tank the video was good though. All of my recordings have Hypersmooth on 'Normal' by default, and it generally kept the video smooth unless the mount wasn't rigid, or the time I tried stacking all 3 extensions which is about 20 inches tall... that one had pretty awful video. I think if the mount is rigid and you dont go overboard on length, they are pretty solid. The 8" plastic extension that failed on me was mounted to the tank on a pretty hot summer day last year and the video looked like it was on a piece of rubber.

This product is Exactly what I was looking for! Thanks bro.
Thanks man! Perfect summary.
how wind resistant are they? do you find them making a lot of wind noise or getting loose with more speed? great review

This actually gives me an idea to compile a bunch of random ways of mounting these up and see how good or bad the footage is.
