For Skyrim SE, the only change I'd recommend is disabling God Rays. The visual improvement is too small for the performance and battery hit. The game runs extremely well when it's disabled.
Can you include The Finals in your next testing? It’s the one game I still struggle with to not get packet loss alerts that makes the game unplayable. So curious what others are using as settings or how they’re getting the game to work properly.
Great video! Planning to purchase a Steam Deck Oled in the future and love to see this sort of content, also know that it takes a lot of work to make these videos. Keep up the great work!
Nice video, do you use tdp limit by any chance? Would be great if you would also show at what max tdp the game performs well in order to prolong it's play time.
Hey. So normally I don't use tdp limit. If I want to save battery life I usually cap the framerate. This video is just a cut compilation of the longer videos on my channel. But I try to use a tdp limit in future videos.
@steamdeckstreaming I prefer Complimentary Shaders. I've found that it gets pretty good performance, and is impressively smooth, though may require a little bit of tweaking.
@@malakcoccode if you use your steam deck connected to a Monitor, there is just a very small difference, because the OLED has a slightly better CPU. But not much better, only about 10-15% more FPS.
Hey. Thank you very much :-) You can just buy the game on Steam. Then start it with proton experimental. Here you can find some tips if it doesn't work at first: www.protondb.com/app/1250410
Bought and tested eafc25 on my sd lcd yesterday. And was shock with the result. Low setting hv a lot of stuttering, while on ultra its good. Bit of stuttering here and there but overall a better exp than playing on low setting weirdly enough.
Yeah, I noticed this too sometimes in my tests, which was very weird. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that this game is unfortunately in no way optimized for the Steam Deck.
It most games it's the OLED unit. But for some it's the LCD Steam Deck, like for example at the beginning in Baldurs Gate 3. For the OLED you can expect about 5-10% higher FPS.

@@mrdavid2664 you just Download TOTK optimizer in desktop mode. Then launch it, select the patches and settings you want, save it, and exit. I hope this works for you.
@@troublebear3600 I'll try my best. In the meantime, maybe this here what I've found will help you: "Using the lowest in-game settings 1024x768 with TSR set on low, linear upscalling (theoretically FSR 1.0 should work better but not in this case). Foggy street areas run decently (stable 30fps). The Nexus mod improves the framerate insignificantly. Same as the less complex interiors. But anything with heavy folliage and lighting effects borders between the slideshow and playbility (~15-20 fps). The Forest, Rosewater Park, second half of Hospital, Toluca Prison were the most tanking performance locations. I barely noticed any traversal stuttering issues. Could've been fixed in the latest patch. The game also runs very stably. Not once did I have a crash." (www.protondb.com/app/2124490)

I'm dissapointed I have to download windows just to play COD, time for Steam to wake up and make windows the default on future consoles...Linux was a cute idea but obv. it isn't working moving forward
Yeah, it's sad that this is the only way to play COD on the Deck. You can also try to stream the game via xcloud, so there is another way besides installing windows on your Steam Deck.
strongly disagree steam os is way better for handheld pcs than windows its more convenient lighter and easier to run while giving a better experience also its valve not steam valve is the company steam is the program
