Well you see, if Sonic 06 was the reason Sega doesn't care about Silver anymore, then really, the deeper reason wouldn't be that they think 06 is ruined by Silver, but that he has a bad reputation from that game, which of course they would prefer not to carry over to other games
@@Fafr and they are forgetting that SEGA ruined 06 themselves and ruined this franchise too Now they try to forget what theyve ruined in the first place ... F%** sega and L sonic team .
Hell, look at Project '06. Remove the glitches, polish up the gameplay, and you have a really damned good game. Silver was never the problem with Sonic 06.
While he wasn't "The problem" he was a contributing problem, his gameplay felt slow and with the horrible glitches his telekinesis powers were super buggy which was hard to ignore like the other two. Project 06 fixed most of these issues by making him faster and making his kit less buggy.
Give👏us👏a👏Silver👏game👏 I want to see the future I want to play as a psychic I want to see more character development for Silver I want to see how Silver’s past actions affect the future I want to see Silver make friends in the future I want to see Silver save the world *without* Sonic and *without* going to the past\present There are honestly so many gameplay and storytelling possibilities with a Silver game it feels like a no-brainer😭
I agree with all of those things we literally know nothing about silver except for that he lives 200 years in the future and he has psychokinesis I wanna know more about silvers past like what was crisis city like before it got destroyed and how he met blaze etc
A 3D Sonic CD esc game would be cool. Switching between the past, present and future as Silver acts as a sorts time cop, keeping the timeline in check in the background while Sonic has his adventures
Same he’s truly an underrated character. I love his optimism and refusal to give up even when all seems lost. He’s also such a unique character with his psychic abilities.
To tell you the truth: Silver was the reason, why I ever wanted own Sonic 06 after so many bad reviews. I wish for years, that he could finally get his own game. I love this guy. He deserves more.
I'm a Gamma fan and I actually appreciate that his story was allowed to end in Sonic Adventure. While I don't think bringing him back would *ruin* him, and you *could* tell good stories with him again, I'm quite happy with what we got and content to let his story end in the way it did.
I could not agree more with everything you said in this video. Silver is my favorite Sonic character EVER, and it always breaks my heart with how he is treated with the higher ups at Sega. His design, powers, character, THEME SONG, I really love everything about this white hedgehog. Dreams of an Absolution is also one of my favorite Sonic OSTs to ever come out, right up there next to Ice Cap Zone. Thank you for making this video and letting people get to know this amazing character a bit more, great work!
Honestly, the best way for Sega to give Silver a second chance, it's by remaking Sonic 06. Out of all Sonic games, Sonic 06 is THE game that is the most in need of a remake, because at its core, Sonic 06 is good and the fan mod fixing it is proof of that.
I believe that if we’re getting a “Year of Shadow the Hedgehog”. Then I believe that one day, we will get a “year of Silver the Hedgehog”. We just need to have hope🙏🏾
@@sabretoothtiger4314right! It can’t be coincidence. Since the year of shadow is celebrating the anniversary of SA2 or Shadow the Hedgehog 05 since Shadow were in those titles right?
Nah I want him to be the main focus of the fifth or sixth movie. I want a Sonic Heroes movie before the '06 movie (But I want an '06 Movie before any Riders movie, even then Riders should never get a movie but a show would be okay)
Most of the fandom these days treats him better than Sega themselves. From the time I played 06 I absolutely loved Silver, he became my favourite from the get-go
Silver wouldn't fit in Unleashed's story though; it'd feel really forced. If we want the character to improve, we can't just arbitrarily throw him into pre-existing games just for the sake of screentime, the character deserves more thoughtful consideration than that (otherwise, he's never going to truly blossom into something coherent and 3 dimensional).
@@DLxxx I think you didn't get it , SEGA should first make a small separate campaign for Silver in Unleashed to test the audience reaction , (SEGA don't trust Silver because people hated him in 06 so they should test his popularity in a small thing first) and that's will prove to them that we want Silver , after that we could potentially get his solo game or him being playable in Sonic Adventure 3
@@haiderraad468Right, but unlike Generations (which features Shadow, and has very little story to intrude upon), Unleashed already tells a complete, fully fleshed out narrative. Even if you were to give Silver his own campaign, you'd have to tie it into the main story somehow (in order to justify the packaging it woth Unleashed), and I don't see that happening without it feeling hamfisted. I think it would make more sense to just remake older games that already included Silver, like 06 or the Rivals duology. That might be a bit riskier, but if done right, it'll still be better for the character in the long run.
@@DLxxx Silver's Campaign doesn't have to be connected with Unleashed's Story , they can for example showing him in the future having troubles with dark gaia from the future or something like that , because believe me they will never remake 06 so his campaign in a remaster title is the best way to start his return
It would have made perfect sense if Silver were made as a bonus character in Sonic x Shadow Generations instead of Shadow himself because it revolves around timeline and traveling gap.
@@kowabonga3552 Up until the late 2010's, the general consensus was that fans HATED Silver and mocked him for his choices, design, or voice acting. Silver has been my favorite since near the beggining, but I don't think you can blame Sega for being hesitant in this specific instance. As far as they're concerned, he's too risky to put a spotlight on again without comparison or mention of 06 (which Sega is afraid of).
@@mazkeraid4039 Absolutely! They screwed up in ways thay will haunt them forever, but Sega is a company well known for self sabatoge and poor foresight. You can find some cool documentaries that do a really good job covering the company's tumultuous history.
In an ideal world, we would get a Silver solo spinoff game lol, but I completely agree! Silver has such a HUGE fanbase, and I think giving him just one time in somewhat of a spotlight would be FAR from doing SEGA harm. Give my lil' boi a chance SEGA!!
I really miss SIlver. I wish he somehow returned majorly in some more 3D action Sonic games a lot sooner instead of sometime in the future. Despite my wish and how long it has been, I still do not believe he will not return in a very, very new and surprising 3D game. I am never ever giving up on him. He was some character in my opinion. Some Silver fans and I will wait sometime longer and afterwards will see him majorly again, I know it.
I dont feel like Sega has anything personal against Silver. Everybody has been shafted in recent years. It's only lately they've been increasing their use. I do think that Shadow is a safer bet to test the waters of other characters to have the limelight, so I'm hoping they are gradually increasing other characters prominence Even so, as my favorite character in the series, I really hope they bring him back. I remember reading that Silver is actually very popular internally at Sonic Team, but haven't been able to use it (presumably because everything after 06 focused on Sonic and Sonic only)
I personally got involved in the Sonic series with the Mario & Sonic Winter game. Silver became my favorite in the Sonic cast, and I then watched the cutscenes of Sonic 06. Watching his story first instead of being introduced by a horrible boss and gameplay is likely why I didn't have the bad first impression that ruined his image
I just played Sonic P-06 and Silver is hands down the most exciting thing about the game imo. Absolutely love him and the fact that Sega is sleeping on him is insane. So much potential there.
Great video man, Silver has always been my favorite Sonic character. I feel Silver could work great in a Sonic Unleashed rerelease where he has a side campaign that involves him going into the past to witness how the ancients aided light gaia with creating the gaia temples, since it was shown Frontiers the chaos emeralds came from the ancients. Make Sonic X Silver Unleashed happen Sega!!
Silver the hedgehog was the reason I came back to the sonic series after the GameCube line of games. the games don’t feel the same without being to play as silver
06 was the first mainline game after the Gamecube games and is also the only game with Silver playable in it. You're basically saying you came back to the series after an astounding zero games and then left because no other game plays like Sonic '06. What?
*@evdestroy5304* That is not totally correct as Silver is playable in side Sonic games such as the Riders games. Pretty sure that's not what they're saying. They're just saying they came back for 1 game where Silver is in and he's the reason why they came back to the Sonic series but they never said they left again after Sonic 06. Only that playing as Silver was cool and you can no longer do that and that it's a shame.
silver is definitely a character who gets a lot of hate (personally I think people hate him just for the fact that his debut game was sonic 06). I personally do think he has a lot of potential as a character and the Archie and IDW comics have shown that silver can be a well written character to adapt. it’s a shame that sega hasn’t really done alot with him other than a few guest appearances in a couple of sonic games. he’s yet to have any cartoon roles and I kinda doubt we’ll see him in the movies anytime soon then again though I could be wrong
yeah, i really wish he’d get a chance to star in a show/cartoon too. it may be just my own personal opinion but they could’ve used his character in sonic prime to help nine with his redemption arc instead of the weird canon ending nine got. to start off, silver would’ve understood nine’s desperate need for a “perfect” world and being willing to do about anything to achieve that.
You are making a good point like I always question why do people make silver an idiot like silver isn't one he is a kind-hearted hero from the future like he is not like an idiot (unless he actually is but I don't want that)
I don't hate Silver but do I hate he's essentially used as a ball and chain to my 2nd favourite character in the franchise (Blaze), from folks shipping them to 06 unnecessarily retconning her backstory to be Silver' "support/mentor". In all honesty they're detrimental to each other since both are MC material in terms of design, powers and lore yet pairing them up actually weakens both. It's so bad, that as sad as it sounds I'm actually glad whenever Blaze interacts with others without Silver being around and vice verse for Silver.
After Tears of the Kingdom, I feel like a similar approach to physics would make Silver feel so unique and fun to play with the ability to move around objects freely, but I also fear that SEGA doesn't have the time or dedication to working on a physics based game like that.
I feel like all the Hedgehog characters should always take the frontline in the franchise, Silver should always be prominent in the story especially considering how powerful he is compaired with Shadow and Sonic. Here's hoping for a better role in future games!
Honestly I think the solution is to retcon Silver so he's just sticking around in the past now, it just makes sense. No more confusion, he's here now. Hell, you could make a whole subplot about it. All we need is some decent plot relevance in a game, and he'll be redeemed in the public eye. Then the momentum is there.
If we ever get Sonic Adventure 3 it would actually be epic to have a full story for Sonic Shadow and Silver. The Adventure games with the chao gardens are still the best.
giving silver an open zone game would be a golden opportunity. silver's powers and abilities fit the open-zone style so well and i'd love to see him as part of the main cast and as a playable character again.
Thanks for the video! I love Silver as well. I really hope, he will appear in one of the Sonic movies with Blaze. I think it could be a good plot to reimagine the 06's story in a film. (...without Elise :'D)
the difference between Silver and Sonic is that sonic saves people and saves places, even the world or the universe, but only whenever it's necessary, or whenever he is made aware of it, the rest of the time he is very much a chill guy just enjoying his life, being free and hanging out with his friends, whereas silver very much lives for the idea of saving others, it's like a part of his personality, he is a hero because he couldn't help it, it's simply in his nature to do what is right, Sonic is just a guy that chooses to do the right thing when he is needed
I used to hate Silver a lot at the beginning, I won’t lie. But later on I ended up really loving this character. Especially if you read his comics, they’re so good.
You know what’s wild? Silver can canonically keep up with Sonic and the crew on foot. In both Rivals games his main method of travel in running and we see him run on foot beside Sonic in Generations 3DS. I would like to see him run normal in a 3D game then kinda glide/fly for his boost if he had one.
I agree, it would be so cool to see Silver get another chance. There are aspects of his character that I really like, such as his naive and hopeful personality. It contrasts well with Sonic's snark and Shadow's aloofness. Silver is just a desparate kid that grew up in an apocalyptic future, so I don't fault him for believing Mephiles easily. He saw a chance to finally get out of that hellhole and he took it. Heck, there are no people in sight in Crisis City, so Silver was probably delighted to even see another person. Unfortunately, the likelihood of him having a central role again is very low. Because of his rocky start in 06, Silver remains a disliked character in the eyes of most people outside the Sonic fanbase (and some people within the fanbase, but more Sonic fans like Silver nowadays). The idea is that since 06 was bad, and Silver debuted in 06, that means everything about Silver must be bad too. The reason Sega doesn't push Silver out into the spotlight is because he's just not as marketable as Sonic or Shadow. But I can't really fault them for it, because if they did release a trailer for something like a Silver spinoff game, they'd probably get a lot of criticism.
While I highly doubt Silver will get a game (sadly), I think it could be possible he’ll get a DLC of sorts in a future sonic game. The game I think is likely for this to happen is sonic X Shadow generations because that game gave silver atleast some sort of love when he got a boss fight and appeared in a few cutscenes.
I like Silver, I find him to be my favorite of the trio. I love his story in 06 and his awesome psychic powers that make him more unique than the other two
5:49 That’s what I’m saying. They were a whole trio. Past, present and future. I admittedly haven’t given Silver much attention myself until recently. But after having looked back at 06, I personally think he should’ve gotten his own solo game like Shadow, exploring his timeline and learning more about his origins. I would’ve liked to have seen that. 1:48 Also wanted to add that it gave us some of the best CGI cutscenes too (at least for me it did). Silver himself also has one of my top favorite themes in the series.
To be fair Sliver was not the only character to not be playable. It was like that with Rouge, Vector, and other characters until Sonic Superstar, frontiers, and Dream Team
Literally my 2nd fave character in the franchise and he gets done so dirty. I want him back in the spotlight again whether its by himself or next to sonic and/or shadow again
He’s gonna get another chance in Sonic Movie 4. I guarantee it. Shadow ALSO is getting another chance in sonic movie 3 and because of fan popularity he’s now getting his own game and likely going to be in “Sonic Frontiers 2”
Silver is my favorite character in the series by a wide margin. I recognize Sonic 06 as kind of a bad game, but I fell in love with his character in it and ever since have wanted to see more from the character. I get so excited whenever I even see a small mention of him or when he's just a side character. The IDW comics were such a treat for me because of how much spotlight he got and I really think of all the characters besides Sonic, he shined the brightest. I desperately want him to get some sort of solo game or comic series. He's just such a fun and compelling character to me.
I wonder if silver could be the second playable character for shadow generations. Since we haven't seen any act two stages, there's so much 06 stuff in the game, he was a rival battle in the original just like shadow and he was one of the most popular character mods for generations.
Shadow generations is a perfect chance for like a teaser silver level or something. Think about it He was in white space like shadow and sonic, meaning he was affected by the time eater reality erasure, THAT WOULD BE PERFECT
I loved 06 I was younger and didn’t notice any glitches I’m not gunna lie and it was cool playing as all those different characters the story was amazing and I didnt get stuck on the levels at all
As a shadow fan, I always wanted more shadow games and him to be more involved in Sonic games like tails and knuckles. I also like knuckles and Sonic second and want a knuckles game too but shadow will always be my favorite but saying all this, I would still love to see more of silver and even a game all about silver too. He has a lot of potential to be a fan favorite and a really great character
Man-Ray: What is the character's name? Gully: Silver. Man-Ray: And why is that his name? Gully: Because it's the color of his body. Man-Ray: Right! So Silver is a...? Gully: White hedgehog. Man-Ray: [so angry he needs tickling]
I agree with everything you said in this video! I always say this but I’ll say it again… SILVER NEEDS TO BE RELEVANT AGAIN! Sega should give him more credit where credit is due! He is one of the most relatable and loving characters in this franchise! HE DESERVES BETTER FROM SEGA! I do appreciate all the love the fans give him tho. I think that’s the only reason why he hasn’t been forgotten and why Silver is getting more love and attention. More than Sega has ever given him after 06 that’s for sure
Honestly i feel like in order for silver to even make sense in the current continuity is to change his backstory. Rn they say that he keeps coming back in time cuz his timeline keeps getting messed up but that makes 0 sense cuz silver got sent back in time by mephilis at the start. I think it would be so easy to just make him from Blaze's dimension
P06, a fan game with excruciating detail put in to keep the game the same minus the glitches, is what Sonic 06 would’ve turned into if they had the time to develop it. Many people who’ve played it call it one of the best Sonic games, and it’s kinda crazy to think that this game could’ve been considered one of the great and Sliver could’ve been a well loved character. He’s still awesome and the cover of IDW 64 is my wallpaper so yeah they need to give my boy a chance.
My first time seeing silver was either sonic dash, mario and sonic at the olympic games, or super mario bros z (i forgot if hes in that but i think he is) and I've personally always liked his design
Silver and Knuckles are my FAV Sonic characters! I don’t really like Sonic but I do tolerate him, but Silver I wish he had more spotlight 😩 I voted for him in the Super Smash ballot to be included in the game 😭
*But because Silver doesn't have his own game, Shadow has tons of them. In Forces he didn't shine as much as he seems, damn we really want a game about Silver.*
Silver does not have to be a time traveller. They could ignore his entire history, just like they ignore what planet sonic lives on. Sometimes he is on earth and other times he is on the anthropods planet. Silver can introduce a new dimension to sonic games if they create airborne stages. By the way, It is not only Silver that is not getting a chance. All of the others are not. Imagine the variety sonic games could include if they properly invest in the characters.
Okay, Sonic fans, we need to stop this. I love Silver the Hedgehog, he's my best friend's favorite character, but we have to start understanding limits or else we're going to tank this series sooner than Sega can try. Not every character can be part of the exact main cast, that's beyond delusional for these types of games, especially given the background and storyline of these characters. Heck, the main cast already consists of people who shouldn't be on the main cast. I love this series with every fiber of my being, I love every game, with rare exception, has come out, even or even especially the ones that people have hated, because I enjoy what each game and each character brings to the table and not just petty about gameplay or minor story issues. But we can't have this awful mentality that just because someone is a favorite character means that they have to be reoccurring frequently or even at all.
Silver the Hedgehog is a time traveling hero from the future, a future that seems to change as he returns to it given that IDW is canon. It seems as though the future is safe now, so this argument is less of a big deal, but when we were talking about this before, it doesn't make sense to bring him in as the main cast. Silver brings a whole story plot with him, a dying and ending future, so any game he returns in is going to be burdened with that storyline no matter what, it couldn't not be about his story specifically if he's in it, because it's about the entire world eventually ending. That's how it has to be, given his character and what he brings. That's fine, seriously, it is fine only see him only once in a while, we don't need him every game. Sega clearly doesn't want us to forget him, he was in one of the most recent games, but the whole Sonic Forces, though not nearly as bad as people say, didn't handle his story too well alongside the rest. He should not be part of the main cast, especially before IDW was canon, because it would have never made sense. However, now that IDW has solidified that silver remains in the past since the future seems to be saved, which to be fair has both freed the character and also has provided an empty space for his purpose, he's going to be around more often. Now you could make a decent argument for this, but we still can't expect literally every character we like to be on the main cast, that's greedy and honestly just not very good idea. It's not logical, with this type of series. There are other series that can have characters in frequently and a lot of them, but this series never has really done that outside of sports games, so you have to keep it realistic. We should want the occasional game with Silver the Hedgehog, preferably playable, but we shouldn't be expecting that game all the time. We only recently started getting games more than once or twice a decade now, Sega has only recently started caring about canonicity, lore team, IDW, Sonic Prime, all only recent that they started truly caring, and now we have more games coming out the past couple years then we've literally had the past decade, not to mention more Sonic content in general. It's not going to be another decade before we see silver all things considered, but it isn't and shouldn't be every other game, I just don't think that's a good idea.
I mentioned that we already have characters in the main cast who shouldn't be in the main cast, or who are big characters that shouldn't be considered characters expected to reoccur frequently, and with this, I honestly meant some of the favorite characters of many people, myself included. Shadow the Hedgehog, Blaze the cat, even Knuckles the echidna, they all have things that honestly don't make sense if you bring them in even remotely half the time. Shadow is a bit different, he's got no real reason why he wouldn't come in, other than his personality and overall character motivation not really lining up with Sonic on most things to have frequent adventures with them, but even so the character just doesn't feel like they should be in almost every game, though that's also hard to say where he fits in terms of the main cast. The main cast in most people's opinion is typically going to be considered Sonic, Eggman, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, technically Orbot and Cubot, and maybe Sage going forward. Shadow is one of the largest supporting characters, but he really isn't part of the main cast of core characters. Even Knuckles I don't think should be, not that his placement and iconic character doesn't fit the bill, but his story really doesn't make sense to reoccur very often. He is a Guardian of the Master Emerald, it makes zero sense to have him frequently, unless you build story, which then doesn't fit his personality currently very well, where he has a backup plan to keep it safe and protected, but again doesn't very well follow his personality even if that has somewhat light and recently. The comics were the only piece of media that was forced, even back in the Archie days, to hold to that Guardian Master Emerald position while the video games ruined the character frequently and did whatever they wanted, up until Sonic Frontiers where they finally started paying attention to their own characters. Not that I hated Knuckles in the past decade, but the whole intrigue and interesting part of his character was that he is a strong badass, yes, but that he was a Guardian, characters and their positions matter to the interest tied to them, it's not just their personality or powers, their background history and motivations matter, without them, cool design but I couldn't care less. Princess Blaze the cat is princess of a kingdom from an alternate dimension that is not a parallel dimension who has powerful fire abilities and similarly mystical emeralds that grant her a super form at her beck and call, who is strong, powerful, mostly independent, intimidating, stoic and serious, and has a hard time breaking out of our shell to get closer to others and trust them, all the while apparently having a fear of heights and debatably a probably not canon anymore boob envy. Weird last part. I like her character because it's cool all the way around, but zero parts of that make sense to bring her in all the time or consider her part of the main cast. Honestly, as much as I really really love her character, she should have been a one-off, even more than Shadow. She is the sole royalty of her kingdom, you can't just go everywhere you want if you're a princess who's leading, at least in the comics Sally was a princess but she wasn't leading the people. Blaze leads and protects her people, she can't just go off on adventures for very long, it would have to be portrayed rarely and relatively short. She's from another dimension, the whole point of both of her games was the concept that hers and Sonic's dimensions don't mix very well, so it's fascinating that another world can be tapped into only by either sets of emeralds, which she and she alone can traverse regularly if she's so were able. She does not fit very well to be part of the main cast, at all. These three characters are some of the most beloved characters in the entire series, specifically silver, knuckles, and Blaze, because they all come with baggage and powers with unique stories and motivations, and interesting personalities, but over half of that is lost if you make them part of the main cast without addressing their main purpose in universe. Shadow to a lesser extent, especially now though he has issues with Sonic, for some reason we aren't actually very sure of since before it wasn't the same, but the shadow from the original early games in the shadow of now are quite literally different people, memory loss, even if remembered later, was only reattained after he built and set off for a new. But the other three? They just don't fit the bill. They just don't. I love knuckles, but he is a guardian, and that is extremely important to his character. I love Blaze, but her guardianship, and being a princess, and being from another dimension, all very important to her character motivations and purpose, to add her infrequently would be a disservice to the character. It's the same argument people use for using Darth Vader too often, it loses what the character brings to the table if you see him all the time, just in a different sense. Silver is a bit more usable now, but he needs to build a purpose again, yet overall I do feel like he could eventually earn that status if they build it in the right direction, but right now the games have done nothing except rely on IDW to build that, not that they've had really much time anyway. Will have to see where it goes, but Blaze and Knuckles don't make any sense as the main cast, Shadow doesn't fit too well, and Silver doesn't fit too well yet and definitely didn't at all before IDW.
Silver didn’t make Sonic 06 suck Silver does deserve another chance he’s one of the best Sonic characters his telekinesis make things cool and his consistent determination to make his future a better place and he doesn’t give up Project 06 gave Silver a major redemption he kicks butt Silver does have potential his powers have no limit.
Funny enough as a kid i didnt run into any of the game breaking bugs and genuinely enjoyed the game although never beating it. (Think i beat silver and sonics story). Game had potential if they did it right. I find silver to play as because its not just like sonic and shadow where you run fast. He’s unique and has his own power that makes him fun to play as
He's a time traveler. That alone is the issue. You can only do the 'from the future to the past' thing so many times before it gets old. They should just make him stay in the present and learn about a world he wasn't able to experience.
I think they are slowly making characters playable again, but definitely don’t know if they will every give any character a big spotlight role because of backlash from Shadow The Hedgehog and Sonic 06. Along with Sonic always having to be the main hero which come on give the others side games like how Mario does again.
When I first saw Silver in Sonic 06, I was curious to who the new Hedgehog was. When I looked up his story on TH-cam, I fell in love with Silver. I loved his powers, his backstory, everything. He's become my favorite Hedgehog. I was disappointed when Sega decided to just shove him into the background rather then becoming one of the main characters. There's so much they could do with Silver. I wish they would do it. I hope they do someday.
ok.....with shadow getting his own solo adventure with generations. shadow is getting another chance after shadow and 06. maybe one day sonic team will give silver a chance......maybe
Omg it's so annoying, 06 was amazing, I want nothing more than silver and mephalis to come back but they just ignore them so much, we're extremely lucky he's rarely returned, generations finally giving us gameplay as a boss but still, make him playable
It doesn't help that Silver only been in games that flopped for reputation. 06 is infamous, and Forces doesn't have a good fanbase either. If they make a Silver for the other sonic games, it could help him out a bit.
Last summer Silver became my third favorite character from the Sonic franchise beside Sonic and Shadow, and 1 of the main reasons why I want to download P-06 when Chaos X has the final product available is so that I can play as that adorable telepathic hedgehog in a Sonic game that isn't either a spin-off game or a mobile one. I'm sick of the fact that those are the only kinds of Sonic games that he's currently a playable character in. I really hope that Paramount will make a Sonic 4 movie that can have the elements of 06 that were good ones adapted into it while changing the unwanted parts to be better or not adapting those parts in at all. If he gets put into the SCU (Sonic Cinematic Universe) then it would be more easy for Sega to see how much of a loved character Silver is from theater audience reactions, and learn that they should treat him better in future mainline Sonic games instead of continuing to leave him out of almost every single one of them! That studio might do it because it is easy to see that there is more hyper-realistic fanmade movie images of Silver online than any of the other characters who haven't been put into the already released Sonic movies. So it can be kind of easy for Paramount to see that he's the character who the fans want to see on the big screen next after Shadow gets the spotlight in the third Sonic movie.
Sega are forgetting that Silver was never the problem with Sonic '06. The problem was the glitches and quality, which never affects characters.
Well you see, if Sonic 06 was the reason Sega doesn't care about Silver anymore, then really, the deeper reason wouldn't be that they think 06 is ruined by Silver, but that he has a bad reputation from that game, which of course they would prefer not to carry over to other games

Would y'all believe me if I said the first time I saw Silver wasn't in Sonic 06 but in Sonic Tennis when he's standing in the background

A 3D Sonic CD esc game would be cool. Switching between the past, present and future as Silver acts as a sorts time cop, keeping the timeline in check in the background while Sonic has his adventures

It's amazing man, composition, lyrics, beat everything
Honestly silver needs his own game
Thought i wasn't the only one who thought the same thing!
Honestly, the best way for Sega to give Silver a second chance, it's by remaking Sonic 06. Out of all Sonic games, Sonic 06 is THE game that is the most in need of a remake, because at its core, Sonic 06 is good and the fan mod fixing it is proof of that.
Sega can't even re-release the classics without fucking it up
And retitled it Sonic Adventure 3 with a featured chao garden
at this point they jsut neef sonic 4 to be based on sonic 06 and feature silver and then do something like silver generations

whats crazy is despite the fact that silver is one of only 3 hedgehogs with the ability to go super, but he's still often forgotten.
Most of the fandom these days treats him better than Sega themselves.
From the time I played 06 I absolutely loved Silver, he became my favourite from the get-go
I know right silver is also one of my favorite characters tied to shadow
We Need Sonic X Silver Unleashed
Best idea for sega, @SonictheHedgehog this guy is cooking
Silver wouldn't fit in Unleashed's story though; it'd feel really forced. If we want the character to improve, we can't just arbitrarily throw him into pre-existing games just for the sake of screentime, the character deserves more thoughtful consideration than that (otherwise, he's never going to truly blossom into something coherent and 3 dimensional).
@@DLxxx
I think you didn't get it , SEGA should first make a small separate campaign for Silver in Unleashed to test the audience reaction , (SEGA don't trust Silver because people hated him in 06 so they should test his popularity in a small thing first) and that's will prove to them that we want Silver , after that we could potentially get his solo game or him being playable in Sonic Adventure 3
@@DLxxx
Silver's Campaign doesn't have to be connected with Unleashed's Story , they can for example showing him in the future having troubles with dark gaia from the future or something like that , because believe me they will never remake 06 so his campaign in a remaster title is the best way to start his return
It would have made perfect sense if Silver were made as a bonus character in Sonic x Shadow Generations instead of Shadow himself because it revolves around timeline and traveling gap.
Sega is to dumb to give the fans what they actually want, unfortunately.

I do think that Shadow is a safer bet to test the waters of other characters to have the limelight, so I'm hoping they are gradually increasing other characters prominence
Even so, as my favorite character in the series, I really hope they bring him back.

@@ceter342 I don't think so cause it sounds serious and they modified to precise "mainline" game so it's almost certain it's not :/.
silver is definitely a character who gets a lot of hate (personally I think people hate him just for the fact that his debut game was sonic 06).
Silver could've been that for a Sonic Adventure 3 2006 release but sega messed that up
Honestly I think the solution is to retcon Silver so he's just sticking around in the past now, it just makes sense. No more confusion, he's here now. Hell, you could make a whole subplot about it.
All we need is some decent plot relevance in a game, and he'll be redeemed in the public eye. Then the momentum is there.
Silver is extremely popular. Ban together and tell Sega you want him to have his own game. Be proactive.
Plz let “Year of Silver” be a thing in the future ❤️
Thanks for the video! I love Silver as well. I really hope, he will appear in one of the Sonic movies with Blaze. I think it could be a good plot to reimagine the 06's story in a film. (...without Elise :'D)
And I'm amazed that Pete Capella is keeping up with his role of Silver the Hedgehog.
The revisionist history I’ve been seeing with 06 is mind blowing
the difference between Silver and Sonic is that sonic saves people and saves places, even the world or the universe, but only whenever it's necessary, or whenever he is made aware of it, the rest of the time he is very much a chill guy just enjoying his life, being free and hanging out with his friends, whereas silver very much lives for the idea of saving others, it's like a part of his personality, he is a hero because he couldn't help it, it's simply in his nature to do what is right, Sonic is just a guy that chooses to do the right thing when he is needed
I love your video about Silver~ if SEGA does give him a chance they better write him correctly than ruin him. I love how he was in 06.
Silver is my favorite character, I'm still waiting for a remake of 2006 since 2015 :(
I like Silver, I find him to be my favorite of the trio.
What I love about Silver is he can transport through time, fly with his shoes and coordinate chaos emeralds together to save peoples lives from dying.
Shadow's character arc in 06 is the exact same as in heroes but without the existential dread of maybe being just a clone.
Think about it
He was in white space like shadow and sonic, meaning he was affected by the time eater reality erasure, THAT WOULD BE PERFECT
I wouldn't mind Silver being Blaze's "Tails"
I loved 06 I was younger and didn’t notice any glitches I’m not gunna lie and it was cool playing as all those different characters the story was amazing and I didnt get stuck on the levels at all
As a shadow fan, I always wanted more shadow games and him to be more involved in Sonic games like tails and knuckles. I also like knuckles and Sonic second and want a knuckles game too but shadow will always be my favorite but saying all this, I would still love to see more of silver and even a game all about silver too. He has a lot of potential to be a fan favorite and a really great character
As a character, Silver really flew under the radar for me. Until I read the comics. And oh my god bless his heart.

I think the idw comics are handling silver quite well i really hope sega takes inspiration from the comics for silver to be a main character.
he's having it rough right now, but i'm glad at least the comics are one thing that give him attention
Silver deserves his own game and story
Silver is apart of the big 3 for me personally (sonic shadow silver)
It's for things like this that i'm glad my introduction to the character was Sonic Rivals, hence why i never get the hate for Silver
I would gladly pay/pre-order full price, day one for a dedicated Silver & Blaze game.
It's rough being a Silver fan. Especially after the kick incident. Ifykyk
Sonic 06 needs a remake. It's really not that bad I love everything about it except the glitches
I like Silver too. He's cool and his powers are super creative.
I love silver & i miss him too, he deserve another chance.

At least Silver has more love given to him than the freedom fighters, unless someone buys them i doubt we'll ever see them again
My first time seeing silver was either sonic dash, mario and sonic at the olympic games, or super mario bros z (i forgot if hes in that but i think he is) and I've personally always liked his design
I want to see a MGR inspired silver game..
Heck YES.
Silver and Knuckles are my FAV Sonic characters! I don’t really like Sonic but I do tolerate him, but Silver I wish he had more spotlight 😩 I voted for him in the Super Smash ballot to be included in the game 😭
Oh boy if sega knew how much silver gets love by the fans then they wouldn't mistreat my baby boy!
*But because Silver doesn't have his own game, Shadow has tons of them. In Forces he didn't shine as much as he seems, damn we really want a game about Silver.*
The another chance = Sonic Movie 4
Great video! I agree he does need that second chance, and I'm excited to see if he will be in another game!
Will have to see where it goes, but Blaze and Knuckles don't make any sense as the main cast, Shadow doesn't fit too well, and Silver doesn't fit too well yet and definitely didn't at all before IDW.
bud this is his video if you have a problem go make your own, no one cares about what you have to say
I just want silver to be a main character in a good sonic game
Give him just one more chance, one new glance, and he will make of you another believer.
Poor Silver. I love that guy.
Friggin haters.
Funny enough as a kid i didnt run into any of the game breaking bugs and genuinely enjoyed the game although never beating it. (Think i beat silver and sonics story). Game had potential if they did it right. I find silver to play as because its not just like sonic and shadow where you run fast. He’s unique and has his own power that makes him fun to play as
And as a kid sonic kissing a princess honestly flies over your head
We need a game or series called adventures of silver and blaze🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I am disapointed that Sega not give a second chance at Silver. His chara design is so cool😊😮.
“Sega Has FORGOTTEN About Silver…”
*Has a crying Silver and some crossed out logo in the bg, for the Thumbnail.

ok.....with shadow getting his own solo adventure with generations.
shadow is getting another chance after shadow and 06.
maybe one day sonic team will give silver a chance......maybe
I wonder if sega is aware of sonic p06’s existence. They need to take notes
