The little cutscenes added to each level opening are great. Gives the characters a bit more life considering how stiff the models were in the original game outside of CGI cutscenes.
In general, the new animations and expressions are amazing 😄
@EfraArt_Mix I agree. With these amazing 60fps graphics and opening level cutscenes, it feels like I'm playing this exclusively on the PS5.
What about lip syncing? That's another major issue.
@@Jakesterpop1 i Belive chaosX did a demonstration of a cutcene in that when Sonic and tails speaked the lip sync was perfect.
literally, the one at 6:45 was so good. it's so small, but seeing silver comment on the scenery considering all he knows is the end of the world? makes me wish the original game had more stuff like that.

Silver was originally made because Sega wanted a gameplay focused around the Hovok Physics Engine. We all know how that turned out due to it being rushed.. but having proper physics goes such a long way! Combined with the new controls, attacks, and animations It's such a delight. Amy was a personal highlight, her new moveset is fantastic and so much fun!
I will have one more video out today, and then upload a full playthrough of the game + all upgrade locations tomorrow.

The ball puzzle is less tedious and Amy looks cuter in this remake😊
Now all we need is boss battles, story mode and the Story Finale!

Seeing Blaze and Silver speed through the beginning of Flame Core was straight badass.
They opened that level up with a bang.
Dude silver is my literal favorite sonic character and to see my boy reimagined like this just makes me happy as heck

For real! Silver straight up got 3 of THE MOST cinematic looking stages in this entire project, lol. That Tropical Jungle opening was so clean it low-key almost made me tear up ✨️🌴✨️
The amount of passion that’s gone into this project is unreal. Not only does it look more polished, but some of the content that didn’t even exist in the original like the improved move sets and level openings are built in so flawlessly.

Silver's campaign has to be by for the most improvised. He's much faster and you get to use more of his Psychokinesis. Also seeing Amy's gameplay here is what Sega has to do when she becomes playable in Sonic Frontiers later this year.
Edit: although not likely, if we get another Sonic Rush type of game, Blaze needs move sets like in the campaign
The updates of Sonic P-06 just keeps getting better. Glad to see Blaze in action.
So far, I like how Blaze is like a cross between sonic & knuckles in terms of movement in P-06, yet has few abilities that make her stand out like her Pyrokinetic moveset as well as accelerator tornado that acts like a double jump to gain new height, her fire spinning move. Amy seems greatly improved in this mod compared to her original base game counterpart, being more closer to her adventure self in terms of gameplay, as well as having some abilities from that game like the piko hammer spin or jump. She also has increased speed to her movement.
15:07 So the Lotus of Resistance gives Silver the ability to curl & spin while jumping, as well as extending the his teleport dash. This seems very useful in situations where you want to jump on an enemy for extended air time to hover to the next platform within range.
25:22 The Flame of Control(I don't know why it's called that, maybe in reference of Silver trying to contain the destructive fiery power of Iblis) upgrades Silver's Psyho Smash, that can now do damage to enemies within its radius, as well as giving him the Psyho-knife move that he uses in generations. Which essentially shreds enemies' health bar.
I’m loving how these guys made Silver look like the better character to play as, and I also can’t wait for them to also do the boss fights as well
Vanilla 06 is one of my favorite games of all time, to see a fan remake nearing completion brings joy to my inner child that grew up playing the game!
I know you meant the original version, but for a second I got an image in my head of Cream's mom just running around wiping out robots and flame monsters.
Loving all these new changes. All that's left is the last story, bosses, hub world's, town missions, and cutscenes
If someone told me few years ago that Project 06 will make Silver that fast, I would not believe him. Now, it is finally happening!
So beautiful.. I love how aesthetic work of ChaosX recreate Sonic 06 to fullest potential. Adding exclusive cut scenes is great touching. Sega could hire this guy but ChaosX decline to work with them. I respect his decision for that. Keep it up!
If sega were to hire chaosx and he accepted it, and chaosx made a remaster of 06 for all consoles, the most you will hear is hate and people going like "SONIC FANS MAKE BETTER PRODUCTS THAN SEGA GUYS1!1!1!1, so from a bussiness stand point its so stupid.
I think what I love best about how Chaos X improved Silver is that he doesn’t seem slow anymore. Like once he gets a running start, he uses his powers to levitate and move faster, and he’s able to curl and spin like he’s going into a spin dash when he jumps after getting the upgrade. I just think it makes his character a lot more fun to play as. And the upgrades to his powers really make him seem a lot stronger than in the vanilla version of the game. I hope that if SEGA makes Silver playable in future game, that they’re watching this and taking notes. Great video!

The little in game cutscenes really made the quality of life changes shine. I played all of the episode’s acts and right away, it just gets better and better after each update. I really hope Sonic Team takes this into consideration for people to play this on consoles.

One of the most awesomest things I've ever seen in my life. Silver is awesome in this. Sonic and Shadow are amazing in this to. Amy and Blaze is just phenomenal. I just played the Silver Release last night and it's Freakin Awesome! Sonic Project 06 is starting to feel like an Official Game and feel like Sonic Adventure 3 or a better Sonic 06! ChaosX and his team is are absolute goats for making this remaster
I LOVE what the team did with Silver's story! The stage intros add up to the hype you're about to go through, and gameplay, graphics,
S++ tier. The new upgrades are fantastic, and that upgrade for Silver's full power... Just amazing. Overall, I love what they've done with everything so far! Amazing job from ChaosX and their team!

Other than some minor issues and adjustments that would help things, everything looks great. It plays smoothly and I love the extra cutscenes that show off more of what Silver is thinking in those moments.

I love how Sonic P-06 improves everything from the original game, the gameplay is much better, the animations are far more smooth and the level design is just great, this fan remake really has a lot effort put on it which makes it amazing.
The improvements are amazing but can I just say that Amy is already 100x better here with the speed she can now run and her attacks 🙌

It’d be amazing if sega got wind of this remastered version of the game and maybe would pay this guy who fixed it up and re-release it. Kuddos to you my boi! Excellent job. I remember around ‘05/‘06 when it first came out, looked pretty cool and knew this was a whole new Sonic. It was unlike any of the other previous Sonic games, not just because it was a next gen release itself, but the new atmosphere of it seemed completely unique and super attractive . I always knew it deserved more..I’d buy it again and wouldn’t be ashamed to do so!

The tweaks made to sonic and shadows campaign are really good as well
I just realised that in the opening cutscene of Silver’s story, it took place at night, but in the beginning of the stage (Crisis City) it suddenly turns to day. So it doesn’t make sense that Silver hurriedly goes after Iblis and it takes the entire night before the stage starts. Thankfully this stage fixes that error
15:08 I haven’t been keeping up with the project recently, but I did keep up when it was first gaining traction however many years ago, 3 now? Time flies. Anyway, not sure what the lotus of resilience is, but that’s a very great idea! Also, I don’t know if all those beginning clips before the stages are from save files, but you guys are really good at digging!🤩
At last, I was waiting for Silver's story gemeplay! I wonder when will the boss battles come out.
The new update is amazing and was absolutely worth the wait. It also fixed the weird stutter issues that I had in Aquatic Base. Did you have those too before?
I only did with V-sync on. I did notice some of my stuttering issues went away though. Seemed really stable fps wise outside of a memory leak I had once where I got 1 FPS. lol

The combo timer is REALLY tight with Silver, almost feels like the original Sonic 06 where the combo timer was straight up broken so it only counted enemies you defeated at the exact same time, instead of those you defeat in a short time before touching the ground again. I really hope when the scoring system gets an overhaul so each level has it's own S rank score instead of all of them being 50K, that Silver's combo system is overhauled as well.
Though I think a change that's objectively bad is making Silver's speed hover really limited in range. In the Shadow release, you could speed hover for as long as you had meter, so if you knew the stage and were feeling risky, you could use it to skip over chunks of platforming over bottomless pits. Like 4:15 for instance, you would have been able to clear that if the dash hadn't been nerfed. But now, the distance you can travel with it has been so shortened that it feels almost as useless as the speed hover dash in the original 06, but actually uses MORE meter than in the original.
And not to mention how sometimes throwing a grabbed object at an enemy just... doesn't damage them for some reason. Iblis lizards will sometimes just slide across the ground with no reaction when I launch a steel crate at their head at 90mph, it feels really bad and inconsistent.
Kinda telling that for all ChaosX's technical and game design prowess, even he couldn't make Silver's gameplay very good. His slow movement and reliance on physics objects to effectively fight enemies stands out all the more when some levels have you play as Blaze and even the vastly improved Amy, as they're so much more fun to use than Silver. I think something that could really improve his gameplay is if the Y button let him to a psychic melee, like a punch or kick that's extended using his psychic abilities, that doesn't use meter. So you can still fight even without physics objects or having to spam the jump and ground slam to stun enemies.
If there isn't one already, I'd love to see a mod letting you play all versions of all stages as any character, Blaze's momentum-carrying, invincibility-frame having flame claw attack on the B button is way too awesome and fun to only be restricted to a collective like 5 minutes of gameplay.
With the speed hover, once you gain the Lotus of Resilience 15:08, you get the original version that allows you to hover for as long as you had meter.

One change I would like to see is not having the text box show up, just the text, like how it is in Sonic Heroes. It gets annoying seeing it pop up and back down so many times, especially since they’ve added more monologue into the game
I think that may be an option in the menu, or if not that'd be a good option to add.

Tbh when 06 first came out I never really cared for Silver. But thanks to Ian Flynn and his work on both Archie and IDW I have found a new appreciation for Silver.
So does anyone else have frame rate issues from time to time? Specifically in Kingdom Valley and Aquatic Base? I don’t know if the bloom effect is a bit too much for my pc. Which is weird because the Shadow update didn’t give me that problem.

I was kind of hoping that they would have gotten rid of that pool ball puzzle in Dusty Desert. It took me forever to get past that second pool ball puzzle in the original version of 06

I'm glad they actually made amy viable (since she's one of my favs) and she was actually easier to control for me than silver due to the keyboard
