- In this video, I set up a gotek floppy emulator the Atari STe refurbishment project. As it is set up, it can also be easily used in an Amiga as well.

Very helpful video to see all the steps from a "blank" Gotek, flashing firmware and putting it into the Atari.
I did the same with my STE, also with OLED and Rotary (plus speaker), even with the same small USB drive (it's a Sandisk right?). I hate using normal size sticks for this purpose, it just looks ugly when they stick out that much!
I agree, nice to use the small ones to keep it as flush with the computer as possible. It also keeps them from getting damaged. How does the speaker sound by the way?
@@powerofvintage9442 It's only a small Piezo buzzer, like you got in many PCs. But for track activity it's more than enough.
There's a version of the Gotek frame on thingiverse, which has a mould for the buzzer (have that in my STE).
Followed this step by step but I'm just getting E34 on my Gotek. Haven't installed any mods but the Gotek just refuses to read any USB drives. I have done research however I'm getting multiple and some times conflicting information on what the issue may be.
Can you send me a photo of what files you have on the USB drive? contact.powerofvintage@gmail.com
@@powerofvintage9442 I sent an e-mail with 'Gotek image from TH-cam video' as the subject'. I am being realistic that I am either overlooking something or I'm just doing it wrong :).
@@powerofvintage9442 Thanks for all the help, I do feel a little silly after reading your E-mail but everything is working now.
Good video. Are you going to do the sound mod? Then it will (kind of) sound like a floppy drive when reading the image files.
Not sure, probably not with this one. I've been thinking about adding one to my external Gotek drive though.
Dude do you sell the bracket thing that's 3D printed?
nah, it's on thingiverse. If you need one shoot me an email.
