    I have this deck and I absolutely love everything about it more so the guilding. I know the guilding is not for everyone. You are corageous for cutting the deck like you did, I don't have the guts to mess with it like that.

      I am so glad you enjoy your deck! There are a few decks that I do enjoy the gilding on, seems to depend on the type they use for me. 🙂 Thank you for watching. ❤️

    Such a great idea! I know you didn't like how the blue and gold sides turned out so much, but I thought it gave a off a really pretty shimmery effect! 💙✨

      Thank you so much, I'm coming around to it lol. I think I just had an idea of what it was going to look like and when it didn't turn out that way I was unsure about it all. 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️

      It has been. I think I just got it in my mind that it was going to look a certain way and when it didn't come out that way, I was disappointed lol.

    Love it so much without the gilding. Great job. Sucks that one card bent but the colors you chose look nice.

    I find shuffling decks with thick gilding difficult. I have really small hands and struggle enough with the standard size of tarot decks. Some of the larger and or gilded ones make it almost impossible. Thanks for sharing!

      Depending on the cardstock, I struggle with some standard size decks too. 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️

    I don't think I'd ever have the guts to remove gilding! The one surefire way to not get me to trim a deck is to put gilding on it, I love it too much! I have had some decks with cheaper gilding lately where I do feel that it's sharp, but I put up with the pain for beauty 😩 Did the blue end up transferring?

    • @DawnMichelleTarot
      @DawnMichelleTarot  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It hasn't transferred at all, which is fantastic. I'll definitely be using stamps for my blues from now on I think. 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️

      @@DawnMichelleTarot That's amazing to know! I love a deep midnight blue but I've never gotten it to stay - I'll have to see if I can get a good inkpad here in Korea. Thanks for testing this out!

    Ok well the gilding is the only reason I haven't bought this deck... and since your trimming video with the Druidcraft Tarot inspired me to do the same, now I'm worried I'm going to do this as well. But man, I really hate trimming decks, it's so annoying hahaha.

    Beatiful as always, thank you! Quick question - the amazon link currently says this deck will be published in September, but Cathy's site says it became available in May, and clearly yourself and other people purchased it. Does anyone know what's going on? thanks!

    • @DawnMichelleTarot
      @DawnMichelleTarot  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It was originally released in May and then it was discovered that there was a misprint on one of the cards. I believe they pulled the remaining decks and are planning on doing a second release later this year with the corrected cards. 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️

      @@DawnMichelleTarot oh jeez! Well 1st I edged them, and they bled so badly. So decided to trim. I didn't set up any kind of guide, just tried to use the lines on the guillotine! Ended taking off too much on some sides. Nevermind, I still love them and I have replaced them too. Thankyou though! If I'm brave enough, I know how to do it now! XXxx

      I hear ya there, I've had that happen too! In fact, I have a basket of deck mods that went poorly that I need to try to fix lol.

    I just de-gilded my Star Tarot deck based on the instructions in this video! It was the first time I modified a deck, but this deck really left me no choice. I think I got a deck that had the worst gilding possible. It made the deck completely unusable, the cards wouldn't move independently of each other and there was a big section of the deck corners that the gilding just flat out damaged. Even after removing probably too much from the sides and doing a good job on the bottoms and tops, the deck is still rather unwieldy. It's just impossible for me to riffle shuffle and it's not really easy to hand over hand due to the overly thick cardstock. How are people actually working with this deck? I *love* the art so much! I want to use it, but the cardstock makes it practically unusable. The cards don't even slide well so you can't even fan them out and pick them that way.

      I know what you mean, I ended up rehoming my second edition and sticking with my first edition (which I also trimmed and also has bad cardstock but it’s better than the second lol)
