Finally a car dealership reviewer that knows how to drive and isn't afraid to rev the engine! You make this car look very good! I did notice you lugged the launch when testing 0-60 but your rev-matching more that makes up for that!
Good to hear! I’m in highschool, and me and my mom have worked our butts off for this very car. After leaping from veloster to veloster, we were able to find a rally edition with only 60k mileage for like ten grand. Cant wait to learn to drive it!
I think that the 1.6 turbo I4--along with the 3.3 V6--are the best engines Hyundai make. I'd love to see them in more of their vehicles, and I'm really hoping (in vain, I'm sure) that a higher-revving version of the 3.3 comes in a RWD rebirth of the Tiburon.
Best thing about the car is that massive Hyundai depreciation lol. Just picked one up for $14,500 with 16,000 miles on it. Perfect condition. Well worth the money imo considering the same model year and mileage fiesta st would be in the 16-17 thousand dollar range (where I live at least). Biggest complaint: fuel economy has not lived up to epa numbers. I average 20-22 mpg and I only use 93 octane. However I do live in a hilly city so that probably has something to do with the poor numbers.
They're pretty solid from what I've heard and getting better every year. Though I have a friend who had a Sonata from when they first started getting big around 2012 or 2013, and he had nothing but problems. Wouldn't start, turbo blew, suspension issues.
Just letting you know that the Base Non turbo Manual Veloster handles much better than the Turbo models, also the Rally and the Turbo have synthetic exhaust pumped thru the sub woofer.
The Veloster is pretty lackluster overall. Could have been an amazing car with a better drivetrain and suspension. Anything Rally edition should be AWD imo.
+Ovi Wan Kenobi I though this can was AWD when I got on the website. I was like "*WHAT* an AWD model!!!" then I was disappointed. They do have Veloster Turbo with AWD in the WRC, but it's not production.
this made me subscribe. nice. seems like a nice car, this coming from a honda nut not all that happy with their last 2 gens. this has that decade long warranty too right?
I want the commentary, its just; ok, if im watchkng other vids, I have a few things that I want to know about the car and i usually skip to those parts when im watching saabkyle or motortrend, but here I have no frame of reference and i have no idea at what point you usually talk about the transmission or styling or practicality. I want the commentary, and i appreciate everything you give us man, just my stupid little complaint that i hope will help make it a bit more organized to watch.
+Noel Jacobs because people don't understand that it's meant to be a sporty economic car that looks cool. They expect it to be a sports car or something b/c it says "rally"
oh god... please stop the commentaries. Im sorry but i loved it when you just drove the car. You sound beautiful but those engines sound better. Oh and by the way... (just to piss yall off)... First...
+Kellan Larson Dude, he makes like 3-4 videos for each car. Silent walkaround, night drive, city drive, canyon if sporty. AND a review with commentary. Really nothing to complain about
***** Youre going to make me start drinking at 7 in the morning. Im aware of all of the other videos Winding Road puts out. Im talking about these recent commentary videos. Theyre popping up more than older style videos. Im not bashing the commentary, but its hard to focus on the car (Which i clicked the video for) than it is to listen.
Kellan Larson So you're mad and disappointed that you clicked on this one? Just don't click on "POV Review" videos and you're good. It's understandable if you are not interested in his thoughts about the car and just want to watch some POV driving but when he uploaded his first review majority of comments asked for more and he's delivering both. Now, if there's no upcoming just POV drives of Veloster Turbo then ok, that would be a shame. Case closed
I like this guy he sounds like a chill dude
HE SPEAKS!
so?!
finally haha
They speak during review and discussion , Other people also drive..

Mine has been 100% reliable and fun so far....about 9k miles. It even got me thru the heavy snows this winter!! Never missed a day of work!

@@georgebun6130 Its a very fun car! Enjoy!
@@georgebun6130Same, im getting this car when I turned 16 hopefully you still have yours 😅
Love the reviews Chris !
Now that's what i call a good car.
That's a nice looking car!
TheGuyWhoCommentsOnTH-cam 9
Holy hell! A Guy who can Talk!!
There quiet when they do drive they talk during Review or Discussion and other stuffy
Sounds good
8:01 - 8:08 Wow 0-60 in 7 Seconds not bad at all.
torsion beam rear suspension might explain the rear hopping. Fiesta ST seems to have better control of that I think
A simple $170 torsion beam will solve that problem!
love your voice! hahahha good job!
Now I'm listening...
They should make an AWD 2.0T version.

nice car, it sounds like wrx sti :)

A nice car, but I advise you to experience Sonata 2016
Would you say Hyundai is a reliable vehicle at this point in it's current lineup? I've read a lot of good things. A few bad like any manufacturer.
They're pretty solid from what I've heard and getting better every year. Though I have a friend who had a Sonata from when they first started getting big around 2012 or 2013, and he had nothing but problems. Wouldn't start, turbo blew, suspension issues.

Interesting car, I like how they decided to spend money on matt pain instead of climate control, that's pretty hot-hatchy.

Not too shabby...I thought Hyundai was going to discontinue the Veloster...?
+Craig Cundiff I believe they are, this is like a swan song for it
tell all your friends haha :D I like the engine sound and driving but the lack of features a little bit annoying
You said all season tires, I think you meant to say summer tires.
2 liter??
Muscle Toe ikr the veloster is a 1.6 liter turbo
I've only ever been in the non-turbo version of the Veloster, but I found the road noise to be quite bad.
Where is AWD???????

+guilherme muquem They don't sell the V40 in the U.S., yet, anyway.
What a pity...
Without the hyundai vehicle in Japan.
Why is it a bad car?
+Noel Jacobs because people don't understand that it's meant to be a sporty economic car that looks cool. They expect it to be a sports car or something b/c it says "rally"
The interior reminds me of cheap Gshock-knockoff digital watches ugly teenagers would wear. Especially the matte metallic blue plastics.
finall he speak hhhhhhhh
Mancoster
posa
I don't like this interior... not sporty
True

+Wold OliviO but .. but ... but it's Rally Edition!

50/50 would be the best scenario

I think your title is wrong. It should read "POS" review, not "POV"...
Do you even know what a POV is?
+bikephil Hey KKK member do you know what POV means?
+MilesfromTomorrowlandFTW EatBulagaFTL TSN POE lol
bikephil Lol so you don't know what POV is?
bikephil What's up with the hate? Did your mother never teach to be kind to strangers?
it sounds bad, interior looks very poor, strange exterior...
