What a great reaction, thanks Bob!
Kenni Holman is the name of the flautist in this video, one of the original ‘Hornheadz’ performing with Prince, now Hornheads, as far as I know. Like all of them he’s a great session player, touring and recording extensively with some of the world’s best, chops out of this world…
And that overblown growl! It’s so good, I think, that Cory and DL decided to feature him in this vid, for once…
Aron supporting and driving that track so beautifully, with his tasty and subtle textures…
Jonah’s keys adding so much atmospheric vibe, -love the way he delays his chords and melodies across the bar, so chilled and dreamy…
Cory just so subtle and beautiful….
Yet with all this laid back vibe, the whole thing’s still so in the pocket….
I could listen to this track for another half hour, for sure lol!
Talking about bad, have you listened/reacted to Jonah Nilsson’s solo project, his cover of “Bad”?
    Totally worth watching too 🔥
Thanks again for a beautiful, heartfelt reaction 🙏

@@TheSpiceLord Heh yeah, I was gonna say, he has a monster sax solo in another track from this album, and several more smaller sax and/or flute solos. He's an anchor in this album! And the backwards leather Newsboy cap is such style... love it!

If you want to see more of Kenni, listen to his tenor sax solo on 'Turbo'. An astonishing musician.

"Ring Of Saturn" is a Percussionist's dream song. I love everything about this beautiful composition.

I've been really enjoying your reactions lately. I like the subtle way you're mentioning musicology. Enough that it adds something but not so much that it gets confusing.
Anyway, check out some songs of Cody Fry, I think they would really suit your channel. My suggestions are 'Better' and 'Want Me Back'

The flute/sax player's name is Kenni Holmen. He used to play with Prince. I believe a couple others in the horn section did, also.

It has a Chuck Mangione and Steely Dan feel. Yet it’s very Wong and Loopified.

Thinking of Lee Ritenour and Dave Grusin in the beginning, then there´s some Chick after that... Cool reflecting-feel kinda song!

And the back vocals are a reference to Pedro Aznar from Pat Metheni's group

Flugels and flutes! Again, channeling their inner Mangione. 70's jazz yacht rock at its finest. Such a great song.

For sure on the Manguone and 70’s vibe.

Correct. Cory’s side recorded in the US, Dirty Loops recorded in Europe. It was video blended.

Hi bob! Found your channel at 2 am, been binge watching most of your videos... Just couldn't stop. Anyways, great job! Keep it up!
My suggestion: Oogie Boogie's Song by VoicePlay. Geoff Castellucci's performance is absolutely ridiculous, I thought you, being a fellow bass would enjoy it a lot!
