I’m surprised you could undo the wheelnuts with that short bar. My little Isuzu has the nuts done up to 500Nm. I need a torque multiplier to get them undone!
Hot tire and hubs can be a dangerous thing. I keep a laser thermometer on the truck for this and other issues during the workday. Summer and winter ( sometimes-50f /-60c in northern USA)

You mentioned in your walk around about checking hubs on the hot days... not a truck driver myself, but do a lot of driving in the outback and spend a lot of time around road trains on those outback QLD roads. Just wondering what you are looking for (heat i presume) - but what do you do if it is hot? Is it a case of waiting till it cools, or something else? Hi Rob. On a hot day the hubs are going to be quick warm but that's expected. I'm looking to see if one is easy hotter than the rest. If it is then I will keep a closer eye on it. If it's hot enough to make water sizzle on it then that's too hot for comfort. I would jack up the able and check the bearings and brakes.

The air wasn't building in the truck so after some troubleshooting it had to be the governor. When you take the governor off, the truck was able to build up air therefore it must be the governor.

I run Michelin Tires. My summer wheels are stored until June 1 when my winter wheels come off. I run siped tires year round in case of thunder storms. A tire is mounted on a wheel. No when they are tenchioned to the right then you don't need such a long lever.
I'll put that info about the salads at the Caltex Cobar to good use in future, a mate and I pass through there on our motorcycles periodically.

Yeah I've seen those thermometer but I only need to know roughly how hot it is so touching it is fine for me.
You should do a video on changing a tyre. Half out there wouldn’t even know how to use a Jack let alone how to change one.

I got a trailer tyre that will need changing when I get to Perth, if it lasts that far. Another 100km to go.
Grab yourself a quality Temp Scan mate , it'll get temps off all sorts of hard to reach things .
Maybe I'm old school but I don't need to read a temperature. I just need to feel how hot is it.
