That graveyard is very old but still I find them beautiful the little robin was so sweet I always see them when I visit my parents grave. Thank you so much for always getting great views from the tiniest holes!!. love to you and Sue 👍👍😍😍💐💐
So sad to see the cemetery is so neglected, and it could be so beautiful if cleaned up. I feel sorry for the remains of those people whose bones have been exposed. I know it would be a lot of money and time to make things right and there's probably no family left around the area, or they just don't go there to visit. The modern way of thinking about cemeteries is much different than those times. Like you said, cremation is much cheaper and most people won't go to visit anyway so they don't care if the stones crumble. But I think channels like yours and Sue's and others are making people more aware of the history and beautiful monuments that are residing in cemeteries and graveyards. Maybe it's even spurring people on to look into their own family history. Thank you, GV, for making people realize that these places are worth looking at.
Hey GV heart breaking that these graves have fallen to nature's way. This is why I'm being cremated. Love the videos thank you for bringing these graves to light. Take care sweetheart. 🌹🌹🌹
Yes you are right. When people buried their loved ones they are looking at a stone structure and think this will last forever. But unfortunately mother nature has taken its toll on the mausoleums and the remains inside. As the Bible says from dust ye cometh so shall ye return. Thanks GV and Sue for another great adventure, God bless you both, OT.
When you're buried in a vault, crypt or mausoleum your body goes on an adventure lasting potentially thousands of years. Every day, a little bit at a time, something new happens to it, and hopefully people will see your remains, pay some respects or learn something about life. To me cremation is dark and cold. You get turned to dust and bits of bone and stuck in a box or scattered in the wind, cutting off nearly all chance for anyone to ever see you again, and nothing changes.
Unlikely, unless you are mummified like an ancient pharaoh. Some of those vaults weren't even 150 years old yet, and there was nothing left of the bodies or coffins, the vaults themselves will likely collapse within another 20 years or so. Cremation isn't dark or cold, it's actually kind of hot.
Just wanted to say a little thank you for everything you do, GV, and for the respect you give to those who have passed. I totally get how seeing some of the vaults and their occupants in rough shape might make people lean towards cremation instead of burial. But like you often remind us, in the end, it’s all the same: "We come into the world with nothing and we leave the world with nothing." Take care and God bless! 🙏🙏
A thought just occurred to me that we are all "children" when the span of our lives is compared to eternity; so each of us deserves a teddy bear on our grave.

It is always sad that our ancestors thought there would always be family that would take care of these burials that cost a small fortune at the time. Some families just die out and some are still around, but can't afford repairs. Very sad to be sure 😔 Best going forward to just bury in the earth or cremation. Thank you for bringing us on your adventures, so interesting, as always ❤
They pile them up like cord wood, the coffins. The place is falling apart, to be sure. What a sorry sight! So much in disrepair. Care Less. 😢 Thanks, GV
These people paid good money to build their vaults. Surely the town could appoint a board to maintain the graveyard. Do fund raisers, like a pub crawl, garage sales etc to go to the maintenance?
When you think of the price of coffins and they end up like these one's, it definitely makes me want to be cremated. Ending up a bundle of bones scattered around isn't a nice thought. Could someone not be hired to look after the graveyards and keep the grass down and do repairs, i don't honestly know. Interesting explore GV .😊 xx
Lovely video! That little robin seemed really friendly. I, too like birds and always feed them in the wintertime. Graveyards provide an excellent habitat for wild birds.
