the armored core 30 minute missions will be in line with the HG 1/144 gundams, the 30 minute mission kit shown in comparison to nightfall is a bit shorter than the average HG 1/144 gundam. in universe lore wise, this means the AC is about 1/72 scale
From my understanding, all the 30mm lines are designed around kit bashing and customization. I wouldn’t be surprised if all the body parts use modular connections and weapon hard points.
So from what I can assume is that the 30MM kits will basically be like in the game, you swap around the basic parts and it just works like it does in the games. If they didn't they wouldn't have chosen to make them a part of the 30MM branding, since 30MM's are all about mixing and matching parts from different kits in the first place. For parts I suspect that, depending on how well the line does, they'll do more kits like the Orbiter one, where it has one weapon and the AC model itself to cut down the overall price. Meanwhile kits like NIGHTFALL or LIGER TAIL will have a higher base cost, but just come with more stuff in general. This does of course come with the problem of "what if I wanted X specific head/arm/leg/core but its only in this one more expensive kit" but I guess we'll learn more how they want to handle it over time.
Yea, that's what I'm assuming too. I've only used the 30mm weapons and parts so I don't have a lot of experience with their full models. That does make sense though.
Bandai putting their Armored Core kits in their 30 Minutes Missions line was basically to allow their AC kits to have the level of customization and interchangeability that the 30MM line already had. All of the kits in the 30MM line have universal joint structures that allow the heads, bodies, arms, and legs to be interchangeable between different kits, so e.g. you could have the body of a Portanova with the arms of an Alto and the legs of a Rabiot. In fact the joint structure for the 30MM line which is for mechs, is also shared with the 30 Minutes Sisters line which is for armored girl models, and even shared with the upcoming 30 Minutes Fantasy line of male knights, resulting in some incredible customization options where you could put an anime girl's head on your 30MM mecha. So expect the ACVI kits to not only be compatible with other 30MM ACVI kits, but also compatible with the rest of the 30 Minutes Label (the umbrella term for all the above lines) parts. All these is before the fact that the 30MM line uses the same 3mm attachment holes for the majority of their accessories, and we already see the same 3mm holes on the promotional material, indicating that you could use the 30MM weapons sets on the ACVI kits, and even have the kits use Gundam weapons.
they are not to scale at least in the promotional stuff we see in the video, the 30MM figures are 1/144 scale and in line with other 1/144 gundam model kits and armored cores are known to be quite a bit smaller, like 2 thirds the size of a mobile suit give or take.
They’re 1/100. The old AC model kits made by Kotobukiya back in the day was 1/72. Those were around the size of master grade gunpla and this is sized between master grade and high grades so it checks out.
the 30mm line of kits is all about simplicity and customizations the whole line is called 30 minute missions which a somewhat all right builder can build the base kit itself in ~30 minutes, I can absolutely see them releasing the rest of the kits because the whole line is about kitbashing and making customs
As ludicrous and unrealistic my dream is, I can only imagine all the parts for each model somehow being released in various kits for me to somehow remake my AC in reality
Normal 30MM models are 1/144 scale, but for the ACs to be bigger than the Examacs, it would have to be significantly larger scale. I did some rough math with unconfirmed numbers and cane to the scale of the ACs to be roughly 1/60 scale. Also its worth mentioning, like 95% of all bandai model kits are not pre-painted, so most of the color separation you see is achieved with seperate parts sandwiched together to get its layering.
They're likely a larger scale due to how small ACs actually are (NEXTs, the largest ACs, barely stacked up to the RX-78-2 with the smallest examples of ACs being a bit over 15 feet tall). 1/72 or similarly large scale seems likely, especially since the old Kotobukiya kits used the same scale.
They probably won't be 1/144 scale. They do that with mobile suits because the average mobile suit is about 18 meters tall. Meanwhile, Armored Cores (at least in AC6) average around 10 meters tall. So if they were in 1/144 they would be absolutely tiny compared to their other models.
Do we know when the handler Walter ac is supposed to release? I REALLY loved his boss fight and getting my little grubby augmented hands on one would be so epic

It's detailed for sure, but Koto kits are generally on the unpleasant side for me to assemble, excepting a few lines like the Hexa Gear. I prefer Bandai's line for this franchise. @2205Razors I've mostly done Bandai so I'm not super familiar with Koto's. I've heard they used to be really fragile, but have improved some. I think the term was "hand grenade" lol
@@LikelyFeral My only experience with Koto's AC line kit was helping my brother assembling White Glint. Granted, it's one of the older kits so my experience may not apply for their newer releases.
