Wow! 👏🏽Fast track 2019. Ghana 🇬🇭 and Ivory Coast 🇨🇮 joined hands to set the floor price of Cocoa. Mr President, am amazed by your vision. May God bless our Homeland Ghana 🇬🇭 and make her great and strong 💪🏾.

The man sounds solid. I am so ashamed of the misunderstanding/puppet we've had in Bulgaria as our PM for over a decade now, who choked the economy and chased away more people than ever. I haven't heard anyone in our government speak like Mr. Akufo-Addo in my life. So it's very humbling to see what leaders the people of Ghana had. I think most European nations can only dream for people of such mind and (seeming) integrity. I hope Ghanaians appreciate his work as well. But knowing that the powers that be cannot stand independent nations, I am saddened... God bless the man and the people he's served to keep going forward!

Broooo!!!!!! I said the exact same thing the moment I found out the NDC had come back to power. Its so dumb how we allowed them to take over again and caused so much problem. They halted so many good economic plans the previous NPP administration had put in place. Saddens me every time I think of it but God knows best.

Getty Odoom infrastructural building in itself is a component of industrialisation so it can be done if and only if Ghana is determined to go that path. America began industrialisation when the country didn't have even a half of what Ghana has today over hundred years ago so Ghana can do it. Ghana's problem is fiscal discipline, cutting waste of resources and most of all tackling corruption. If the will power is there as a country, trust me it can be industrialised.

It is good to increase the price of cocoa beans but that aint enough. producers of chocolate can just shift that increase in price to consumers of chocolate...You cant fight for a fair share of the value of the global chocolate market by raising price of cocoa bean in the long run. In the short run...you are happy. But in the long run...you will still be fighting for a fair share. What needs to be done is to try and produce the chocolate yourself and sell it...thats where the value is. Not in the raw cocoa beans. Building a chocolate industry and exporting chocolate will lead to a higher economic growth than exporting cocoa beans. You can have the resource but that is not where the value is...this world is brutal...:). Agriculture is good...but there aint any rich economy solely based on agriculture...we need to industralize, make finish products and export them...that is how one fights for a fair share.

I always say that, the Westerns don't have a problem. We Africans have a very big problem. Number one: they print the money we spend for Africans. Secondly, they process our resources here in Europe. Let me ask the African Leaders that, processing our product here in Europe, are the going to bring everything they processed without stealing some? We Africans living in Overseas working, are we paid as the citizens of the country in which we live in?? We must think of our country. Though we live in the diaspora, but we cannot destroy our Motherland. It's time we do everything by ourselves. Yes!! Let's do everything by ourselves, BC.we are not babies.

When the president talks about the need of the mindset of Ghanaians to change it includes all of these. Infrastructure is key to our development but until we realise the need to create opportunities that warrant the need for such infrastructure the sacrifices and determination needed to achieve our goals will be lukewarm at best. We’ve had cocoa for over 50 years but until now we’ve not really debated the need for value added incentives. So now that we are awakening to such vision and opportunities we will start gearing our thoughts and resources be it private or government towards the infrastructure needed, I believe it applies to all our stakes. I’m quite excited for our children, the future is bright.

Cocoa farmers should be interviewed randomly on their plights in the farm, leaders talk as if they know how to plant cocoa seed and when to harvest. It takes the natural breed of cocoa 7 years to mature, the hybrid ones takes 4 years but that one has a genetic problems, after ten years it looses it's viability.
Go to Wassa, Bodi, Asafo, Asawinso, etc and see for yourself whether cocoa loans reaches farmers, they trek miles away to various villages to dry their beans.
Cocoa loans end up in Administrative offices for paper work, pot belly accountants and Administrators enjoy monies they know nothing about, how many COCOBOD employees had seen real cocoa pod before, 1 out of 50.
I was expecting farmers to have common aboboyaa for ups and downs, but not even bicycles. Cocoa is still done the traditional way.
You his face, bluffing and talking, let's give him 20 years, still the same issue. The problem in Ghana are these two demonic parties NPP/NDC. We need a change for just four years.
CPP has proven to be god of Ghana, NPP/NDC is family parties.
There are over 300 dead state companies, non of the leaders are failing to revive them?
Ghana was manufacturing cars, matches, car parts, sugar, corned beef, tyres, glass, metal parts, aluminum, textiles, etc, these companies are dead in the bushes, Akoffo Addo is spending mony building new ones, 11million sacks were imported by Hackman Owusu and his family, whilst Kaase Jute Company is still in the bush, that's my opinion, think and let's think together.

The youth are always confused when old aged leaders speak English instead of acting, the only time Ghana was compared to that of Belgium was from 1955 to 1967, I am surprised the youth of today, out of ethnicity do not follow policies and charge incumbent leaders to act.
"Promise and fulfil", that is what white developed nations do. Akoffo Addo talks too much, just 2 years $40nillion loans, Dr. Nkrumah never took loans and never touched any resources of Ghana, yet he developed every region in Ghana with an industry and housing.
Please, I have only witness just two leaders in Ghana, Nkrumah and Kuffour, for Akoffo Addo, I was expecting him to be strict on his appointees as a lawyer, but you see, 11 air-conditioners in 4 rooms, he says there is no evidence, a clear corruption, the president has denied.
Is that the leader we were waiting for? Ghana youth don't listen to words, talk is cheap
