But the dollar weakening hurts their US treasury bonds unless they purchase more of them which they will. The goal is disinflation and not deflation.

That is short-sighted as Brazil and India obviously do not want to play the game where China is a BRICS leader. Collaboration exists even now, but a common currency means another US-model where the US is replaced by China. Why would they do it?

Other countries currencies are slightly more worthless, so those countries buy US treasuries and bonds because it’s better value and this strengthens the dollar.
