The Sega Mini thing turned out well because a bunch of people actually agreed that AtGames' consoles sucked ass. So, SEGA finally responded and decided to actually care about us by making it themselves. Now, I know how much you hate the Sonic Movie, but SEGA and Paramount won't cancel it. You wanna know why? Because of it's dedicated (yet cringe) fans and plus the fact that no one really cares about Sonic's CGI design at this point anymore, Paramount already started on making scenes for the movie, so it's probably too late for them to turn back and spend another who knows what amount of days and delay the movie just because of Sonic's design. They're gonna have to go with what they have at this point and make something out of it, who knows? Maybe the story's decent? Maybe it might be a success because of those begging blood-thirsty Sonic fans that'll do whatever is possible (even steal their mom's credit card) just to watch the movie because they've been waiting on an official one ever since that fucking fan-film? It's great At Games have gone. And YES, this is SEGA's first official proper console since the Dreamcast 👾 I hope this is the first of more consoles! The games selection so far is pretty amazing.

i think that the year passed between the first announce and this one was spent by sega rebuilding their old console factory and if this product will be successufull they will release more console.maybe it could be wise to let develop a own digital software distribution service integrated with the megadrive mini so people could had buy new games and download into it internal memory

What I liked about the sega genesis from at games was other than the games already in the console, I could put sega cartridges in it to a save my progress when I shutdown. To me that was the best part. And that’s probably why I won’t get mini while I still have the AT games one. If Sega’s next one will be the one were I can put cartridges in and they recreate there gun controllers then I’ll buy it.

1:S&KCollection's music is mass-hated. 2:Porting it to Genesis is a pain, especially because SEGA can't just get Sonic 3 Complete's features without the permission of the authors and it will take a lot of time to port just that.
Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles is on Sonic Mega Collection (+) for GameCube, PlayStation 2, Xbox, and Microsoft Windows. Blue Sphere, Knuckles in Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 & Knuckles is unlockable in that collection. The 6 button Controller is only for the Japanese release. Europe gets the same as the Genesis. The Japanese Mega Drive mini also has a DX variant that says it comes with a mini cartridge and a specially made frame panel that can hold the mini-cartridge. ega did wait too long to announce and release a in-house Sega Genesis Classic Mini. However, there is another flip side of the coin, Sega releasing theirs in 2019. They're all alone! No other major game manufacturer releasing a mini consoles to compete with it's launch. It'll be the hottest mini console to be on the store shelves! Also, they didn't RUSH the cute sega mini console! Sega sat back and watched nintendo, Sony and all the other game companies releasing mini classic consoles and guess what? THEY LEARNED FROM ALL OF THEM! So Sega was able to take their time to create the replica sega genesis mini, partner up with m2 for the software emulation development and last but not least, contact several 3rd party publishers that own the rights to their past IP's on the Sega genesis to pay for their rights to some of the 3rd party IP's. So there is a negative side and a positive side to their launch date. i actually feel the positives outweight the negatives in terms of Sega waiting until the retro console dust settled for them to strike and it's a mighty strike indeed. ^_^ At the end of the day, it won't hurt Sega in terms of sales. It's not like anyone is saying that they won't get it, because it wasn't released at the same time as the NES/SNES mini. Sure, i would have liked for it to have been released at the same time as Nintendo's mini's so it would give it that extra nostalgic feeling of the console wars between Sega & Nintendo, like it was back in the late 90's. I think it has been "hidden" is mostly because of the copyright issues, but I also think because they're trying to make us kinda forget it in a way because of the whole hyper form. The hyper form will bring more copyright issues with "you know who", atleast that's my theory.
You talked about the Japanese game list, yet you showed the European game list. Also, we in here Europe are also getting the two 3-Button controllers, not the 6-Button controllers. Not to mention again the game list, which is the exact same as the US list.
Sega is actually super involved in the Xbox brand. The original Xbox was originally going to be a Microsofts version of the Dreamcast, Until the Dreamcast started to fail, and then they decided to make their own console with Sega’s blessings. Since then, all of Sega’s arcade hardware have had the latest version of the Xbox in it.
Puyo Puyo is pretty much Japanese Mean Bean Machine. Glad that AtGames are probably not going to do anymore Genesis port consoles in the future. Why would they keep working with AtGames?!
They lost the Genesis IP in 2002 after the debacle with CSK Holdings. AtGames brought the IP from them, but SEGA went on ahead an renewed the Genesis and Mega Drive Trademarks in 2012, not wanting to miss out, AtGames negotiated with SEGA to keep the 3rd party license to produce plug n' play Genesis SKUs, SEGA fired them and dropped their license in June 2018.

ega did wait too long to announce and release a in-house Sega Genesis Classic Mini. However, there is another flip side of the coin, Sega releasing theirs in 2019.
They're all alone! No other major game manufacturer releasing a mini consoles to compete with it's launch. It'll be the hottest mini console to be on the store shelves!
Also, they didn't RUSH the cute sega mini console! Sega sat back and watched nintendo, Sony and all the other game companies releasing mini classic consoles and guess what?
THEY LEARNED FROM ALL OF THEM!
So Sega was able to take their time to create the replica sega genesis mini, partner up with m2 for the software emulation development and last but not least, contact several 3rd party publishers that own the rights to their past IP's on the Sega genesis to pay for their rights to some of the 3rd party IP's.
So there is a negative side and a positive side to their launch date. i actually feel the positives outweight the negatives in terms of Sega waiting until the retro console dust settled for them to strike and it's a mighty strike indeed. ^_^
At the end of the day, it won't hurt Sega in terms of sales. It's not like anyone is saying that they won't get it, because it wasn't released at the same time as the NES/SNES mini.
Sure, i would have liked for it to have been released at the same time as Nintendo's mini's so it would give it that extra nostalgic feeling of the console wars between Sega & Nintendo, like it was back in the late 90's. But hindsight is 20/20 and i actually prefer for it to be this way!
But none the less, i'm happy and i'm sure everyone is about it's eventual released date for September.

I think it has been "hidden" is mostly because of the copyright issues, but I also think because they're trying to make us kinda forget it in a way because of the whole hyper form. The hyper form will bring more copyright issues with "you know who", atleast that's my theory.
You talked about the Japanese game list, yet you showed the European game list.
Also, we in here Europe are also getting the two 3-Button controllers, not the 6-Button controllers. Not to mention again the game list, which is the exact same as the US list.
Just for reassurance, M2 is responsible for Virtual Console on Wii U and 3DS.

Sega is actually super involved in the Xbox brand. The original Xbox was originally going to be a Microsofts version of the Dreamcast, Until the Dreamcast started to fail, and then they decided to make their own console with Sega’s blessings. Since then, all of Sega’s arcade hardware have had the latest version of the Xbox in it.

Puyo Puyo is pretty much Japanese Mean Bean Machine. Glad that AtGames are probably not going to do anymore Genesis port consoles in the future. Why would they keep working with AtGames?!

They lost the Genesis IP in 2002 after the debacle with CSK Holdings. AtGames brought the IP from them, but SEGA went on ahead an renewed the Genesis and Mega Drive Trademarks in 2012, not wanting to miss out, AtGames negotiated with SEGA to keep the 3rd party license to produce plug n' play Genesis SKUs, SEGA fired them and dropped their license in June 2018.

Even though I have the genesis collection on ps3,the sonic collection (2x) on ps2, the genesis collection on Xbox 360 that I gave to my nephew, the sonic collection (yes a 3rd time) that I got for my niece from the original Xbox, a Chinese knock-off sega genesis with a everdrive cart with 400 sega genesis games (all of the games coming on the mini) on it, a hacked snes classic with genesis games on it, MY ORIGINAL SEGA GENESIS WITH ALL OF MY SONICS IN WORKING ORDER TO THIS DAY, the genesis collection on my psvita, I AM STILL purchasing this mini and playing it on a regular basis. SEGA4EVER.😎
