An enjoyable pastiche of martial arts, romance, music, and video, THE LAST DRAGON presents a likable young hero, Leroy (Taimak), who aspires to become a kung fu master. Though black and living in Harlem with his family, Leroy lives like a Chinese. Trouble arises in the form of a huge black man who calls himself "Sho' Nuff, who is determined to prove himself the kung fu master of the neighborhood.

A black young man inspired by Bruce Lee had an Asian Martial Art teacher and trained the character in the film Johnny! 🙌🙃 Taimak it wasnt about the disappointment of the industry for you but the importance of this movie for people of color. I love that Scene City provides clips from Sony Pictures movies, movies distributed by Columbia Pictures, TriStar Pictures, Columbia TriStar Pictures, etc. New Line Cinema used to be sort of a subsidiary of RCA Columbia Pictures which explains the VHS releases during that particular time.

Believe it or not Sho nuff really wasn’t a real villain. At 4:10 You see he lets go Johnny after he insulted him. His main focus was just fighting Leroy. Even at the movie scene he was provoked to whip everyone. I always wonder was he the hero dragon first who obtained the glow but it brought out the worst in him. Was Leroy the last dragon sent to take it away. We need a back story on shonuff and how he knew Leroy. Maybe a young Leroy reminding shonuff of his younger self.
