Very good information for all of us who are planing to go there for the first time. Very effective presentation of the area from above with pointing all important sites: from ticketing office through Angkor War to all important temples of the area. Thank you very much!
This is the best video guide for planning an Angkor and Siem Reap travel, simple, practical, and showing everything we need to know, just great. Thanks a lot
This is very informative video. Learned a lot about temple's in Cambodia which surely help me on my visit soon. Thank you so much for this awesome video. Cheers!
Absolutely fantastic! While watching (sort of sentimentally) your channel, I am remembering Siem Reap now, in the middle of the pandemic. Your review is the most informative among the several dozens I have seen to date. I was getting fed up with reports about just food (pun?). During my visit, I almost visited all the ruins, even those close to the border with Thailand. Your review covers the most essential monuments. But I would say the maps you included are the best way to give an idea where you are while touring. And the historical background you provided helps to figure out the grandeur of the Khmer Empire by recognizing the remaining architectural legacy. The circuits you mentioned are quintessential. I bet most tourist get to Angkor Wat and period. I wish you included Beng Mealea, but, of course, you said essential guide, and maybe it is not that close. Nevertheless, I will recommend your report to others as the most concise and appreciative of the Khmer history. Cheers!
Glad you liked it! I actually went to Beng Mealea the year after my trip in this video and I am planning to make a follow up video. Just have some other videos to complete first :)
great, informative (but should have included the wonderful Phare Cambodian circus, and a visit to the nearby floating/stilt villages of Lake Tonle Sap.)
Very useful information. How did you travel from temple to temple? Did you hire someone for the day or connect with transportation options on your own?
Hi Marie, for this video I hired a car with driver, one day for the small circuit and one day for the grand circuit. But I have also done it by tuktuk and I can recommend this for the closest temples. That includes all temples in the video, maybe with the exception of Banteay Srei which is a bit further away. I booked it all through my hotel. Very convenient.
nice information. May i check is it possible to do the small circuit in a day and the grand circuit the next day by foot? enough time to cover both in 2 days?
Amazing tour traveler guide..you know Ankor tom ancient cities ruins very well..maybe next time you do the ancient relief tour of histories side on the wall of the bayon,Angkorvwat, taprohm, preahkahn, banteay srei, banteay somrae..aspecaily the battle relief at Angkor wat.. By the way $37 represent 37 step at Angkorwat .
Nice Video😊 Do you know why the restaurant near the Angkor Wat Temple has 2 Menu Book? 1 for locals and 1 for tourist. Tourist menu book is twice the price of locals menu book.
Ben Son you miss the point fella...Cambodians think all visitors are rich by comparison to them, so visitors can afford to pay more...that’s the way it is in Cambodia, I know some people object but those people have no idea it is to be in the shoes of Cambodians. Plus if you can come to Cambodia to visit, you can’t be that poor...do you live on $3 day?...many Cambodians do, and some even less.
Ben Son people like you will never understand ...you need to show a bit of empathy , it’s not even a big deal...if you’re such a penny pincher maybe you should stay home
I stayed at the Khmer Mansion Boutique Hotel. Have stayed there two times and I like it a lot. It is a small hotel with excellent service just a few minutes walk from Pub Street. Price is ok too. They can arrange tours and transportation.
Nice and almost complete video on Siem Reap and temples there since Bantey Srei temple has been mentioned- the fact Andre Makraux; france famous culture minister stole 4 carvings frim rhe temple and was avarded a prison term if 1 year and later suspended needs to be infirmed. Also a mention of Bapuhuon temple needs to he there. Otherwise excellant video
Lol, a few mistakes about the Chams they are not vietnamese in the sense of ethnicity. They're a minority group living in south of Vietnam and in Cambodia. Vietnamese never invaded Cambodia at that time.
Thanks for all the information
Glad it was useful! 😊

Love cambodia
nice information. May i check is it possible to do the small circuit in a day and the grand circuit the next day by foot? enough time to cover both in 2 days?
No, the distances are too long to do it on foot. Best is to hire a tuktuk or a SUV.
A one day ticket is $37...but 3 day ticket works out much better at $20.60 a day
Mornings are best , too hot to stay into the afternoon
Amazing tour traveler guide..you know Ankor tom ancient cities ruins very well..maybe next time you do the ancient relief tour of histories side on the wall of the bayon,Angkorvwat, taprohm, preahkahn, banteay srei, banteay somrae..aspecaily the battle relief at Angkor wat..

Yes hope to go back to do more touring there.
Nice Video😊
Do you know why the restaurant near the Angkor Wat Temple has 2 Menu Book? 1 for locals and 1 for tourist. Tourist menu book is twice the price of locals menu book.
Get over it fella, the locals are dirt poor, you’re not.
I am poor too
Ben Son you miss the point fella...Cambodians think all visitors are rich by comparison to them, so visitors can afford to pay more...that’s the way it is in Cambodia, I know some people object but those people have no idea it is to be in the shoes of Cambodians.

@@garyroberts3859 your the one who missed the point man. They should be honest to the tourist to attract more tourist.
Ben Son people like you will never understand ...you need to show a bit of empathy , it’s not even a big deal...if you’re such a penny pincher maybe you should stay home
I LOVE CAMBODIA
Are there tours available in Siem reap and how much are they?
There are plenty of tours available. You can rent just the transportation or with an extra guide. Ask at your hotel for information.
May I also know which hotel did you book?
I stayed at the Khmer Mansion Boutique Hotel. Have stayed there two times and I like it a lot. It is a small hotel with excellent service just a few minutes walk from Pub Street. Price is ok too. They can arrange tours and transportation.
wow i am going to CAMBODIA!
Cham and Vietnam are different country !
❤️

One thing you are not right that the Cham is not Vietnamese
Lol, a few mistakes about the Chams they are not vietnamese in the sense of ethnicity. They're a minority group living in south of Vietnam and in Cambodia. Vietnamese never invaded Cambodia at that time.
That might be true. I am not a Historian, just picked up most of the info online :)
wow i am going to CAMBODIA!
Have a nice trip! :)
