Man this is exactly what you talked about making. Your projects are all so over the top and this is no exception. Every detail well planed and executed.
This is one of the best shop camera rigs I have ever saw. Awesome stuff, and like the purpose of that monitor. Even if you are far away trying to record and build you can see what’s going on. 🙌🏻
This is such a sweet setup and the shot with the kiddos was great! I'm in the middle of doing this same project and have a similar shot with my kids.😁Great work!!!
this is awesome! do you have a link for the black double strut on the bottom? also did you have to join sections for that being longer or was it just a bigger piece? thanks in advance if you can answer
So what did you put on the ends of the Unistrut to keep this from rolling right out of the track? Just a bolt or something through it? I imagine you had a more elegant solution....
The chalk line was not for center on the beam. It was the distance from the center of the opposite beam so the tracks would be aligned even though the framing on the beam wasn't straight. unfortunately my shop was a house that was built in the 1920's and not very square and true. Thanks for watching!
Ineed gantry rail system to move back and forth with robot arm (DIY). I WANT IT TO TRAVERSE ALONG WORK DESK FRONT EDGEAND BE ABLE TO PICK TOOLS, BITS, ITEMS (BY SECTION LOCATION (ID), THEN SENSE MY LOCATION NEAR AND HAND IT WITHIN MY REACHTO ME. SENSORS TO GET CLOSE BUT NEVER RUN INTO ME. I AM DISABLED AND THIS WILL HELP TREMENDOUSLY. ALSO HAND BACK BITS, TOOL PARTS AND IT RETURN TOOL TO IT’S LOCATION HOLDER. (ON PEG BOARD). YOUR TRACK SYSTEM SEEMS TO BE PART OF ANSWER. I DONOT EXPECT HEAVY LIFT OVER RYOBI HAND DRILL BATTERY RAN. BITS AS SMALL AS DREMEL BITS OR SOCKETS FOR WRENCH. HOW EASYIS IT TOCODE/IDENTIFY PEG BOARD IN SECTIONS THEN LOCATION?
Came here because of the strut channel trolley and I really liked the idea !!! An unexpected bonus for which I'm very greatful. Well done.
Beautiful and helpful. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Keep Making. Weld On. God Bless.

Top notch. That will pay for itself many times over in improved workflow.
Thanks Jacob!

What magnetic camera arm is that? Haven't seen one with a ball mount like that before
really ? a chalk line for unistrut ? can't eyeball center ?

Off-center hole! My OCD!!! Otherwise excellent.

Obviously you had to test with children first, why put in risk expensive gear when you have children near, hahahaha
